  4. sad night. 4 players played ~ Medhurst / Swan / Goddard / Riewoldt. my current score is: 308/4/N

Hopefully (just hopefully) things will get better during the weekend.

  5. Luckily I opted for ROK as skipper at the last minute – and traded out Gram to get the Eski and fund Tippy to Jono so not surprised to see his fourth 100+ score in the past 18 mths (9 times 28+ posessions.)
328/4/N with Roo, NDS, Lukey (keep the faith) Ball and a very disappointing Pendles who I was also considering for the big C (had him last week!)

  6. Hamstring off the bone is the rumour, Roo will be sitting on the sidelines for a good three or so months if that’s the case wouldn’t it? Ouch.

    486/5/N.

    Absolutely filthy,
Changed captaincy numerous times between Roo and ROK, chose the wrong one in the end!!
    and Medhurst, Pendles not impressed…
Only shining light, Luke Ball knocked up the ton.

  8. 462/5/N. riewoldt didn’t even make his breakeven!! so his price is going down….he’s gone this week for me… but i will see how long he is out for

  9. For those of you who have Rooey, Brown and ROK – what are you thinking you’re trade options are if Rooey’s out for a while?

    Besides Relton Roberts

  10. on 331/3/N, gram ball and goddard came up with the goods. Pity about Rooey, i was thinking about getting him but opted for ROK instead.

  11. 327/4/N
Rooey is in most good teams so overall his injury won’t affect you too bad unless
    a) he was your captain
    b) you have no bench coverage (or you have gumbleton and podsiadly in which case is still no bench coverage)
    c) you pull the trigger on the trade too early

  12. 381/4/no

but that includes vice captain saint nick, so when rok stars against the tigers, i lose a massive 25 points from that score! so in other words:

    356/4/no

i’m happy that gram and ball finally cracked a tonne each.

How many weeks does Rooey need to be out for before a trade becomes prudent?

  14. Keeping a eye on Hurley this weekend, should be a walk up starter in next week team depending on form of course. Had him my side last year and the games he actually played in showed some potential , looks like a up and coming Hirdie according to my Bomber’s mates ( We’ll see).

    0

    0
  15. OMG not my captain – Nick Reiwoldt! Devastated! Medhurst not good enough either and discovered just in time that Ottens not playing either! Going to be a tough round, happy that Ball scored alright though with 100.

  16. BREAKING NEWS: NICK RIEWOLDT HAS NOT TORN THE TENDON OFF THE BONE!!! HE HAD A HIGH GRADE TENDON TEAR BUT IT IS NOT SEASON ENDING!!! WE WILL KNOW MORE IN A FEW DAYS THE EXTENT OF THE TIME OUT FOR NICK.

She’s a North supporter whose team is full of Kangas . . . makes up for her abysmal effort last week!

  20. Oh and Riewoldt to miss 2 months according to the Herald Sun, inevitable trade this week, definitely need a poll on the next best alternative, with a forward line already containing Brown, ROK and Franklin… maybe Boomer Harvey has just put his hand up.

ahaha my bro said to put harvey as (c) because he goes for the kangas

    1154/14/y ๐Ÿ™

looking like nothin over 1900 ๐Ÿ™

  24. Missed the Reg Undies Train, too all those who got him at the start my hat goes off to ya, well done and the esky looks rock solid with no sign of his knee injury.
1106/11/Y had to sub in warnock for ottens, 49 thanks robbie .

  25. 566/12/Y =[ Bad week for me. This weeks trades brings back my horror of last years worst trades. Hille>Seaby and Harvey>Riewoldt who i put as captain are killing me =[

    0

    0
  26. The supercoach gods are having fun this week, those who dropped boomer or traded to get roo or seaby or kruezer got bent over this week! Sometimes it makes you wonder why you take it so seriously! Hey Motts was that you on the phone to nic nat at 3/4 time wanting him to lift!?

    0

    0
  27. Rocking along with 1303/12/GAJ

Harvey went boom! Still happy with Jolly – Seaby trade. Scores are similar but the $200k brought in ROK. Luckily wasn’t on the Roo bandwagon. Gun players still to come: Enright, Hodge, Gilbee, GAJ, Barlow, Pav, Buddy to name a few. Almost hoping one of Trengrove or Barlow don’t play to bring in Wells’ 100+ off the bench.

After rubbish scores the 1st two weeks, the Sneakies might finally be going places… touch wood tho.

    0

    0
  28. 890/11/GAJ (he had better play as my VC is Roo)
Roo (obviously), J-Mac and Seaby the main disappointments.
Shuey (49) covering for McVeigh can be forgiven.
Goose (75) covering for Hurn – not too shabby.
Most of my guns are yet to play so projected total of 1860 is grossly understated but my avg is destined to slide.

    0

    0
  29. 1225/15/Y (Riewoldt)
Only 4 centuries posted from my 15 players played, not good enough boys. Would have to average 110+ per player from here on in to score over 2000.
Enright, Hodge, Goodwin, Barlow, Selwood, Franklin, Hall, still to come.
2000 is still a possibility considering the quality remaining.

    0

    0
  30. 1030/11/Y (ROK)
There are some sad trade tales on here that make me feel better.
Someone posted roo’s price to go to $596,300. Anyone know JB’s new price yet?

    0

    0
  31. I just cannot put any faith in trading Roo for Grundy…. I might trade up to Brown if he hasn’t gone up too much… but what other good forwards are there??? I’ve already got ROK

    0

  32. having a bet with my mate do the prices of players on supercoach change every week or every three ????????? can some one tell me

  33. 1126/11/y

players to come enright, hodge, barlow, ablett, selwood + others.

  34. 1385 / 13 / N (GAJ)

still got: Enright, Hodge, Hunt, Ladson, Barlow, Ablett, Selwood, Chapman and Dangerfield to go ๐Ÿ™‚

  35. All guns to come cept for Dangerfield who has 5 points @ qtr time :(… Still better than Tippet – 1 point – 0 disp!

    0

    0
  36. 1339/15/Y disapointing= Petterd, Tippet, Voldt, hooker, Naitanui, Medhurst

still to come- Byrnes, Gian, Sandi, Selwood, Barlow, Silvagni, Taylor

  37. Hi everybody,

    My current score is 1107/13/N.

I still have the following players left to play:
    Hodge / Enright/ Hunt / Abblett (Captain) / Barlow / Cooney / Sandilands / Higgins / Franklin.

I am thinking I will still “just” scrape over 2,000 points (fingers crossed). I cannot believe that I now have to look at potentially trading Dangerfield as well!!!

I was thinking of trading in Brown for Reiwoldt and maybe perhaps looking at trading Dangerfield for Harvey – If he drops down in value.

    See ya later,
    Leesa.

So happy I shipped off Tippy for Brown this week. Good trading, Motts.

  40. 1787/19/Y
GAJ/Barlow/Ballantyne to come. Not sure what to think about my score yet, but, I’m hoping these blokes all go at least 105+.

    0

    0
  41. 1730/19/Y
Enright, Barlow, Selwood to come. Should get the 2000 now thanks to impressive games from Goodwin, Hodge and Hall

  42. hows my trading going last week. out deledio, in dangerfield. out medhurst, in brown. could of saved that for this week to trade roo for brown, and could of got rid of tippett last week…FML

    0

    0
  43. 2137 all up for me, amazed I got that with scores from Roo, Hargrave and Seaby’s shocker.

With all the injuries this week definitely nice to have 30 scoring players in the team. Gives plenty of options moving forward.

The other good thing at this stage of the game, is to have a large majority of the team going up in value.

Now comes the Roo decision, hmmm.

    0

    0
  44. all in at 1940, its a terrible score but considering voldt was captain and i had about 6 scores of 55 or less, im happy

    0

    0
  45. 2123 – dodged a sub-2k bullet today with the performances of GAJ, Joel Selwood, Hodge, Higgins, and Enright.

    0

    0
  46. 2497 for me, pretty happy with that ๐Ÿ™‚

Will need to decide who i will trade Roo and dangerfield for though.

    0

    0
  47. absolutly shocking 1878- let downs= Voldt, Tippett, Nic nat, Barlow, Silvagni, Hooker, Brynes, Petterd, Giansira

good performers- Anthony, O’Keefe, Sandilands, Betts, Selwood, Watson, Frawley and Gram

    0

    0
  48. 2291 Even with dispointments in Riewoldt and Mitchell (34 diposals for 58 points…rather dispointing, hopefully he gets better.)

Pretty happy missed the majourity of injured players.

    0

    0
  49. 2167 not to bad considering low scores from Riewoldt,Naituini and a few others now to decide who to bring in for riewoldt

    0

    0
  50. just got home from the freo game and found out i had scored 2339 absouloutly stocked with the score

AND WAT CAN I SAY ABOUT FREO

    GO FREO!!!!!!!!!!!

top of the table clash next week and im headed over to melbourne

    0

    0
  51. yeah the riewoldt trade is a tough one and i also have to trade dangerfield this week aswell.
Thinking about trading roo for cyril rioli then trading dangerfield for higgins or brent harvey.
    Anyone else i should consider?
and not so sure about houlihan and r.murphy.
keeping in mind i already have: Brown, ROK and Chapman in the forward line.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. thanks motts!

i am a little concerned though. only three people in my league have nick. i may have to use a precious trade, for the first time, or i may gamble and leave him on the bench and play either rockliff or pods.

        1. If he’s out any more than 4 weeks, Leesa, I’d be getting rid of him. $600k is a lot of dough to have idly sitting on your bench.

          0

          0
        2. pods will only play to cover hawkins or mooney if they’re out. i wouldn’t rely on him getting a game. unless he absolutely stars, he will be out next week.

      1. That’s gotta hurt your league’s standing though Mottsy ๐Ÿ™ same with the LoSC – 14/16 with the Voldt. Prolly a couple of captains in there I’d guess. Surely we’ll drop below our current 77th – maybe significantly.

      1. yeah i know lol but everyone was expecting a massive rise…oh well im glad i decided at the last minute to not make him my captain!! if it is just a normal hammy (which i dont think it is, i think its off the bone), should we still trade him if hes only out for 3-4 weeks?

        0

        0
        1. He had a groin injury going into the game, which contributed to his hammy injury. He might be out for a while.

          1. hmm yeah if its more than 3 weeks hes going…who to bring in? my fwd line reads : riewoldt, J. Brown, higgins, cloke, franklin, ziebel, walker EMG: hitchcock, pods

      1. lets just say that i am very close to someone inside the club and i recevied a text as soon as he found out he said that he would be lucky to play again this season but he is hopefull that he can get bak for finals something like 18 weeks they are saying

    0

    0
    1. d) you just traded him in this week after his blistering start to the season (not me but I’m sure there’s plenty).

I’m assuming by b) and c) that you’re leaning towards this being a shorter term injury than first envisaged.

Point c) will definitely be the talking point over the coming week if the club is vague about his prognosis. According to Fanfooty, his new price will be $596,300 and BE 173. His score of 25 will effect 2 subsequent price calculations so his $ value is destined to fall even if he does make it back in reasonable time. Regardless of price, this game is about points and it would be a brave coach who sits $600K on the pine and praying that a first-year player will adequately fill the void.

Should be an interesting week (and only one game down).

      2. yeah for that much cash i expected a bit more to. Guess ya just take what ya get hopefully get better points in other matches.

i think those four scored around 550 points last round for me its just depends how they play each round.

not sure whether to trade roo and if i do not sure who for, since i already got Brown, ROK and Chappy

  24. Missed the Reg Undies Train, too all those who got him at the start my hat goes off to ya, well done and the esky looks rock solid with no sign of his knee injury.
1106/11/Y had to sub in warnock for ottens, 49 thanks robbie .

      1. I suppose for warny price around 50 is what your paying for. Hille a top player just needed some match fitness to get back to his 2008 form and he looks like his over his injury. That was my only concern for getting him.

  25. 566/12/Y =[ Bad week for me. This weeks trades brings back my horror of last years worst trades. Hille>Seaby and Harvey>Riewoldt who i put as captain are killing me =[

    1. Wish I had his number, Dan, coz I bloody would’ve made the call!

Professing a little bit of Man Love for Eddie Betts right now. But the officials tonight were so far of the mark with so many of their calls it wasn’t funny.

  28. 890/11/GAJ (he had better play as my VC is Roo)

  29. 1225/15/Y (Riewoldt)

There are some sad trade tales on here that make me feel better.
Someone posted roo’s price to go to $596,300. Anyone know JB’s new price yet?

    1. Checkout Fanfooty for predicted price changes and new break-evens. Might not be 100% accurate but gives a good ball-park idea. Also an excellent resource for other stuff. There’s a link top-left of this page under the heading: Official Sites.

  31. I just cannot put any faith in trading Roo for Grundy…. I might trade up to Brown if he hasn’t gone up too much… but what other good forwards are there??? I’ve already got ROK

    1. I’ve got the same issue, fader. Have ROK, Brown and Higgins in there already. Thinking about Dangers right now but haven’t had much of a look yet.

        1. Nope, won’t be getting Chapman. Have seen him miss too many games in the past. Crucial games at the end of a season too.

          1. yeah if only he could put together a full season…this could be his yearthough!! (i doubt it though) lol im tossing up between goodes, okeefe and possibly even pavlich…

  35. All guns to come cept for Dangerfield who has 5 points @ qtr time :(… Still better than Tippet – 1 point – 0 disp!

    1. I’m sure you’ll also be dissapointed to learn that he’s been stretchered off with what looks to be a neck injury…300kgs driving him into the turf head first.

Tippett is dead set in the gun this week… I’ve held off thinking he’d be OK against the Demons. I’m sure he’s in Neil Craig’s crosshairs as well!

      0

      0
        1. No word on the severity but it has been confirmed that it is his neck. Tippett rolling the ankle towards the end just confirms the first trade for the Dirty Kelsos this year.

          Straight swap for Maric!

          1. shit dangerfield was looking like a real beauty so far this year.

  36. 1339/15/Y disapointing= Petterd, Tippet, Voldt, hooker, Naitanui, Medhurst

    See ya later,
    Leesa.

    1. 6 Clangers and 2 free Against doesn’t help, it’s just like Mitchell he already has 7 clangers. He did the same thing last week that’s why i got rid of him.

      1. During the week I was trying to convince someone on this site to hang on to Mitchell. If it was you, PA, then congratulations for completely disregarding my wayward advice. Nice move!

          1. I was tempted cos I picked him up half way through last year and he was brilliant with consistent scores of 130+. I reckon he plays better in the colder months and down in Tassie, so I’m still keeping half an eye on him and happy for his price to drop.

  43. 2137 all up for me, amazed I got that with scores from Roo, Hargrave and Seaby’s shocker.

With all the injuries this week definitely nice to have 30 scoring players in the team. Gives plenty of options moving forward.

The other good thing at this stage of the game, is to have a large majority of the team going up in value.

Now comes the Roo decision, hmmm.

        1. I definitely applauded… not sure about the jumping and screaming though… maybe earlier when Barlow was copping the Ling tag but the finish from the Dockers sets up a very intriguing top of the table clash next week against the Saints!

Lions and Dogs up north is going to be a belter as well!

          1. Brisbane aren’t the lone rangers there… Clark and McGrath possibly both out.

          2. I heard there was a counterclaim but an eye gouge is still an eye gouge regardless of what was said. Unless there was a pressure point nearby Carlton supporters will be asking for at least 3 weeks!

Clark will get off from that? Not forceful enough to warrant the points for suspension or something?

  48. 2291 Even with dispointments in Riewoldt and Mitchell (34 diposals for 58 points…rather dispointing, hopefully he gets better.)

Pretty happy missed the majourity of injured players.

  51. yeah the riewoldt trade is a tough one and i also have to trade dangerfield this week aswell.

        1. Or I might get Rioli for Riewoldt and upgrade a mid-fielder (Masten) to have ROK as a mid so I can use him as an MPP with JZ . . . but that would mean 2 trades.

          0

          0
        2. Not to blow my own horn but I’ve got both. I’m tossing up a couple of options do I get aboard the Cyril train or take a gamble on a unique. It’s going to be a long week going through stats, break-evens and value changes.
