  1. 245/3/ Fyfe into Sloane

    Hogan, Dusty Martin, and McIntosh.

Vandenberg stuck on the bench with the E, but no way to bring him in. Will be glad for the cash even if I don’t get his points this week.

In my head McIntosh was on the pine. In my head.
Get to loophole Vandenburg’s score though, so that’s sweet.
Very happy with (most of) my rookies and pleasantly surprised with Rance. Feel like I kinda dodged a bullet there.

They are about all I have to choose from. Thinking Selwood but anyone got a opinion?

Hogan, Vandenberg & Maric great efforts raising the bat tonight, most importantly kicking off the week-end in some sort of style ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. 515/5/Sloane

Hogan (will be loopholed on field for Gray), Vandenberg, Maric, Salem, and Maric raised the bar tonight which was awesome, Martin was ok tonight, but not as good.

McIntosh on my bench tonight, so avoided his score with playing the loophole this week in my defence.

  6. Got lucky and have hogan and ganders on the field. Thinking of loopholing newton’s 84 using j Anderson. Any chance Anderson will play?

Tu – loophole a rookie with an 84
Td – Anderson could play and get the vest

  9. 464/5/Swan into Sloane

Good start with the Mullet, Salem and HOGAN.
The man crush I have on that kid is becoming ridiculous.

The Prince was very underwhelming. Shame to have Vanders stuck on the pine, looks a player. GO DEES

  10. 312/3/Sloane

Still very tempted to trade Minson for Smith or Grundy and Lamb for Krak or Tarrant to loophole Lonie and Clark. Really worried about taking Lonie’s score considering he was injured last week.

  11. 711/8/ Pendles VC then we’ll have a look after that

Up against the mighty MJ, and i’ve got a no show from Gray. Whilst i have a couple of trade plans up my sleeve, i’m sure MJ has as well!!!, though i know MJ avoids early trades

  12. 599/6 Pendles into Fyfe

Took a gamble and played all my demons so solid start hopefully I can keep it going and make up for last week sub 2000 score

  13. 340/4/Fyfe

Includes Hogan’s 118 off the pine (Cox loophole) but unfortunately miss out on Vandenberg’s ton so there better be 8 tons on the offering this weekend in front of him!

CEY is due for a shocker isn’t he?

  16. 1683 / 16 / Fyfe

If Goodes does not play (listed as Emergency) then i only have K. McIntosh’s low 40’s score as Emerg loophole.
Query then is with 296K in the bank and $800 short for Brodie Smith who is the best defender yet to play this weekend. Would have $524,000. Other option is to go Goodes down to Jake Kelly of the Crows as the coach would have obviously loved ‘the bull’s’ 10 tackles last week. With only 7 possessions he scored low 50’s, but with a bit of the pill could be a ripper. Job security questionable due to Cheeney only having hammy, but do like the lad.
Any thoughts on Jake Kelly or alternative options?
Thumbs UP: – Take 42 score. Then next week go Anderson & Goodes to Krak & Smith
Thumbs DOWN: Go Goodes to Jake Kelly so i’ll have two trades & can get Krak & Whitecross on the bubble next week (for H.Goddard & Anderson).

Not great but not horrible score
    Glad I traded Parker out

Very interesting to see 7,000 coaches traded out Robbie Gray

  18. 1575/16/VC Fyfe
I’m definitely taking Fyfe’s 145, but it would be interesting to put the C on Smith.
I reckon he could outscore my other 5 defenders’ 279 single handed!

  19. 1246/13/Fyfe

Heeny making me sad. Cripps making me happy. A lot of shite scores from my defenders; 282 from 5 with Murphy to go.

Brought in and player Krak when I saw Ah Saad had the vest, and that worked out.

  20. 1701/17 Fyfe

That score includes Maric and Vandenberg loopholes.
Glad I pressed the reverse trade on Cripps a couple of weeks ago. Cripps looks like last years Tyson. Rapt Gibson fired up with all other defenders disappointing.
Krakouer on debut solid. Disappointed left Heeney on field when thought Van Berlo would score more but was worried about leaving team vulnerable with a late out due to loophole.
Beams , Goldy , Sloane , Ellis Yolman and Bonts to play. Still hoping for 2250+.

    Still to play Bont,Goldstein,Vanberlo,CEY,and Clarke
Big games from the rest hopefully will get me 2200+

  22. 16/1507. Sloane

Still to come: goldy, jelwood, Bont, CEY, Sloane (c) and smith

Avoided a lot of the carnage, not could have been better IF:

    A) I had Cripps
    B) newnes wasn’t playing like a spud and
    C) Parker played more than a half of decent footy

But, can’t complain really. Tossing up between jelwood and Sloane for the C, reckon Sloane is the safer bet

  23. 1320/14 Fyfe

Still to play are Zorko, Rich, Higgins, Bont, Tex, Danger & CEY.

With Minson out, TBC went in, T. Read to FWD and using him with Salem as E Loophole… Hoping M. Clark doesn’t go bananas now!?!

Notable bodies on the pine… T. Miller (E) & Cripps!!!!!

Clearly didn’t learn last round when I stupidly left the E on Jed, so didn’t even think this round to make sure the E was on Cripps being first up, and instead had it on Miller!

THEN umm’d and ahh’d whether to take Heeney or CEY off as Miller was on about 60+ and bring Jed on before the Hawks played… In the end did nothing and left Heeney on!!! Argh!!!

NFI what to do with Newnes now… Will he come good?!

It’s taken me over a year to ween my Trade Rage Trigger Finger… So will be thinking long and hard about this all week!!

  24. 1771/18 Pendels
Took Pendles over Fyfe. My backline terrible this week. Hoping to crack 2000 this week with Nit Nat, Clarke, CEY and Henderson to come.

  25. 1630/17/pendles.
what can i say but could be so much better. after vandenbergs score (E) i put cripps on the bench friday night for loophole. saturday morning decided to swap him with heeney but didnt realise they had such a early start and was too late.???? score could be 165 better if i was switched on.

  26. 1604/16/Fyfe

More wins than losses with rookies so far. Played Newton instead of VDB, but fielded Cripps & benched Heeney. Also had the Ruck/Fwd DPP thing pay off with TBC covering for Minson by switching with S. McLaren, which also let me loophole Hogan’s score onto the field, so pretty happy with my coaching for a change!.

  27. 1501/16/Fyfe

    Don’t ask, everything’s gone wrong, only 4 100s.

Anyway, here’s the deal, I need Todd Goldstein and Nathan Van Berlo to outscore my league opponent’s Daniel Rich by 112 points. I think I’ll be lucky to win this.

T/UP: You think I’ll get home.
    T/DN: You think I’ll lose.

We have both loopholed Fyfe’s score rather then go with Sloane. Of course you’d be mad to overlook 145 as it’s in the bag, but if the majority think I’m done already then I may look into putting the C back onto Sloane and hoping he goes mad against the Dogs. Hoping that’s not necessary though.

I’m basically relying on Van Berlo, a ton from Goldstein is almost certain, let’s say he gets 110 and Rich gets 95 (best case? with rocky back will he get less?) then I need 97 from Van Berlo, with Thompson back in I’d say he’ll get less midfield time and won’t get that.

I guess I’ll see how Rich is going before the North/Geel game starts to finalise whether I roll the dice with Sloane if I’m desperate or if I leave the C on Lucey.

    Thoughts? T/UP – I win T/DN – I lose.

  28. 1136/14/Sloane

Still have the Captain in Sloane to come. Also to come; Goldstein, Bonts, Clark, Selwood, Van Berlo, Jacobs and Ellis Yolmen to come.

Obviously like a lot of people I have Herney on the field with Cripps on the bench, which is disappointing. Hoping with the players I have to come that I can push into the mid-2100’s, but knowing my luck, all the Adelaide blokes I have will have an awful day and my total score will be in the 1800’s putting the final nail in the coffin for my team for the season for beating my overall ranking of last year

  29. Need some advice….. Am I toasted?? Currently sitting at about 10,000, and was hoping to retain a spot close to the lead.

All my rookies have failed this week except Hogan, and I fielded Heeney over Cripps (which in hindsight was stupid and cost me 170 points).
I have a lot of good players to come though, and Sloane is my Captain.
    Im currently only 928 for 13 players, but have the following to play;

    Beams
    Rich
    Joelwood
    Tex Walker
    Dangerfield
    Goldstein
    CEYolmen
    Bont
    Sloane (C)

I could scrape home with 2000-2100, but should I write this season off already…. looks like there could be some big scores this round.

  30. 1740 / 17 / Pendlebury (taking the 119 as VC)

Was one of the fortunate ones to have Cripps on the field and Heeney on the bench, while also loopholing Vandenberg’s ton on the field with Anderson.

Went with the crowd with trade #1 this week (Deledio > Bontempelli), but took a punt with a POD on for my #2 (Bartel > D.Smith), which paid off handsomely with a 128 debut.

The defence is a shambles at the moment: Shaw (69), Simpson (72), Lumumba (58), Newnes (60), Oxley (47), Saad (61). Yuck.

  31. 2214/Fyfe

8/10 leagues won, hoping to increase my overall position from the 700’s after reading about so many coaches having a horror round.
