Ha! In one of my leagues I’m playing a side with 11 players not playing (including Andrew Lovett). The team is called ‘The Allstars’ and averagesa blistering 1348. If only I’d followed my heart at the start of the season and picked every Richmond player . . . I’d canter it in.

That’s the thing with SC. There is always a bit of gentle massage and manipulation at the end of the match that makes predicting a final score nye on impossible.

I’m with you Ryan – I’ve got Masten too. And ‘lazy’ is the perfect word for him. I wanted him to find some form and get some good scores before I upgraded him but his efficiency is terrible – 53% tonight.

Heard tonight at the game from a source close to West Coast that the reason The Big Q has been banished back to the WAFL is that he’s signed with GC17???

Wouldn’t surprise me, deano. If you were coaching an AFL team that probably won’t contend for a title this year why would you put time and effort into a player that has told you he’s going to leave at the end of the season? You’d replace him as early as possible.
Roos has also said he’ll banish anyone who tells him they’re GC-bound. The upshot of this is that players will stay mum about their intentions.

Cant believe kerr managed a score of 66! He was pathetic before he went down. 3 kicks and 7 handballs…
Then Hille who thought was pretty good when he got a chance got 21 poss’s with 9 marks, 12 hitouts and 2 goals 2…got a 76 score. Thought he would have got alot higher!

Well he got killed in the ruck by Nicnat and Coxy, seemed to get alot of uncontested possessions and his efficiency was only at 52%, that doesn’t scores as well in SC than in DT.

Hille’s disposal efficiency was 52% and he had 3 clangers.
Kerr’s was 90% with 1 clanger.
Having said that, if you can work out the SC scoring system (especially the post-game manipulation), apply for an honourary doctorate in mathematics & statistics.

That’s why SC is so much better than DT, trying to work out who gets contested possessions and so on.

I agree that SC is better than DT due to its reward/punishment system that better reflects a player’s influence on the game. It just worries me that a human being (prone to making mistakes and being unduly influenced by extraneous factors) has to make subjective judgement calls – not dissimilar to umpires. But, as with umpires, I will abide by their decision.

It also makes watch a game more thoroughly, keeping an on your player and seeing how he gets the ball and the way he disposes of it. This game is very addictive.

I have a question regards DPP and their role if selected as an emergency. Do they in fact cover other relevent DPPs regardless of position? An obvious example is if M. Duncan is selected as emergency in the forwards, can he cover a Dids, Chappy or ROK playing in the mids if they happen to be a late withdrawal? Do u know Motts? Does anyone?
