  1. 318/2/Pendles

Just like to put it out there that I am an idiot. Last year I didn’t grab Sandi from the get go and this year it was Swan.

I would also like to put it out there to all AFL coaches if they could possibly think about PUTTING A GODDAMN TAG ON SWAN!!! They put their tag on Pendles and Swan always, ALWAYS, lights them up for 30+ and a couple of goals with 90% efficiency.

    Stupid Bastards.

Mark Harvey is a stupid bastard for making Lower an emergency on a multi bye week when I am going to struggle for players that can give me an 80 or so.

Andrew Krackour is a SB for not being as good in the last couple of weeks as he was in his first game. I need him to be better to trade him up to Swan the Un-tag-able.

Honorable SB mention to Richard Tambling for stabbing the eye of someone, who is 20 foot taller and has a supercoach average of at least 10 times better than his own, and than after realising what he has done, fake an ankle injury because of the shame and death threats of 200,000 supercoaches.

    Rant over.

  2. 380/2/Swan ….. with Krakouer thrown in as well.

I was hoping Didak would stink it up a bit more again this week to make the upgrade from Krak to him a little easier after their round 7 bye.

  3. 575/4/Pendles…Happy so far. Lids and Cotchin went well. Agree with Juddy regarding Kracwhores form. He’s on thin ice that boy.

  4. Kracwhore. Love it.

we should get something going about the nicknames people have given to some of the players this year. It took a couple of takes to figure out who Missy was but I am excused for that as it’s really not the genre that I listen to.

  5. I’ve got swan (c) pendles Dawes krak deledio and cotchin. 870 after 6. Coming 1215 overall so hopefully improve on that. By the way juddy, the 5pm friday teams said lower wasn’t playing, u just must be ignorant or not doing right research buddy. And swan….. Anyone who doesn’t have him should kick their own asss as he should be first guy picked!

  6. Juddy, nice work considering the time you must of been spewing all night long :D. As for Swan he does get tagged but RUNS his opponent into the ground and now is kicking goals when rested in the fwd line, thanks to the SUB rule.

  7. 380 / 2 / Swan, Don’t know why everybody is having a krak at AKRAK, he priced at $200k avg 68.25 ppg not that bad if you asked me.

  8. Completely agree with you about Swan. I was very aware of the teams on Friday Asho but if you had read what I wrote properly I was pointing out that Lower would have given me 70+ where as Toy is my only defender left after taking off God and Pluscock. He might only give me 20-50 but it is unknown. So ignorance and research really have very little to do with it.

  9. That avg makes him worth about 300k aswell, im happy with him so far. I think people expected him to do a barlow and avg 130!

Got burned by pendles last week so put the c on massive cox, now pendles pulls out a 136…this captain business is starting to do my head in!

  11. 637/4/Swan. Very happy with Lids, Cotchin and Swan. I don’t like him when he plays the hawks, but I LOVE him in my supercoach team. Krakwhore is what he is. Can’t complain, he was up and down at Richmond too.

Really wish there were league games this week. Got swan & pendles and am hoping the weeks like this will make up for the collingwood bye rounds.

  13. You never know mate, Toy might lift and give you 25-55. haha. Then again, GC (and Toy) could get alot more ball this week against a terrible Melbourne side…. im not incinuating that GC can win, but they shouldnt lose by more than 50 at least.
My only premium out this week is Reiwoldt, and thats due to planning for the byes. I do have MITCH DUNCAN which was a blow, but Im not going to dwell on it too much as Ive got Darling to bring in.

Not happy with Krak – i resisted the urge to put Cyril in this week, reasoning that anything could happen, injury etc and that at the very least Krak should go up at about the same rate as Cyril and I could make the trade late without too much pain. that may now not be the case. If he kills it at Aurora this weekend i’ll be pissed!

in other news, as there seems to be another Ben on here this year, I will hence forth be know by the phrase i love yelling at the footy the most “Eddie Betts!!!”

Lids done good, and WoodKrak, well you can’t expect too much – plus everyone’s got him, so settle down folks. If he can reach say $350k by round 10, will be ripe for a rookie downgrade/upgrade transaction.

HGL might’ve made a sneaky last minute trade ushering out list cloggers Irons & Otten, and, bringing in Curnow & Pederson.

A few SB awards to hand out in addition to Juddy’s above:
    – SB Mick Malthouse for not taking advantage of the ideal situation to sub off Swan during the third quarter and give him a rest;
    – SB brad Scott for not picking Pederson – what does the lad need to do? Aaron Edwards has had more starts than Phjar Lap and is surely not part of the Roos’ revival;
    – SB Dayne Swan’s dad who’s obviously back at work from holidays this week at Champion Data. Granted the 4 goals, but 67% efficiency and only 1 tackle????

  22. I hate the Pies just as much as the next bloke Deano, by stats don’t lie.

    — 33 posses, 27 K, 6 HB, 18 Cont, 14 UC, 3 M
    — 7 Clearances
    — 1 Clanger
    — 15 Score Involvements

I went to the game last night and Swan and Deledio were everywhere. I was loving it! Having Swan as skipper as a Tigers supporter makes a 4 Pies goals kicked from him a little more bearable. A little part of me inside cheered every time Dane slotted one, sometimes out loud to the bemusement of other Tigers fans around me.

Very happy with the boys today. Cox a little limp but that happens to everybody sometimes doesn’t it??
What happen to Gibbs in the last qtr?? Injured? Sub?
Starting to like my decision to go Franklin over Rioli.
Also Curnow and Heppell are sc guns!

  28. I missed the Lower E thing – my fault I know. I gambled on the I/C team lists posted in “Rd4 Teams” post. It doesn’t help when several people post the team lists multiple times in the same post. What’s with that anyway! Can’t we just have one list of teams…

  34. 1008/9 Swan

Let down by Cox, Cyril and Burgoyne while everyone else’s premiums are going mental…..

Still, hopefully my Freo boys will bring it home.

Find it funny that everyone was stressing about their team average going down the drain this round, yet they’re getting P.Bs. Ha.

    Can’t complain.
Hopefully that will be upped by Duigans 107 seeing as I didn’t get Lower off in time and he was my emergancy.

  36. 1351 from 11, swan capt..

still got goodes, stevie j, broughton, sandi, harris,

who i think should pullme decent scores,,, with also

tapscott, grimes, stanley coad and prestia

    to come.

pretty happy with how things look! and my coverage considering higgens, libba, riewoldt and goddard are on my bench. and playing rookies such as otten, swallow, petrie, smith, richardson, mckernan covering me on my bench too,

barring injury im not too worried over the next two weeks with the byes.

Some awesome scores so far guys – nice work.
Made the right call with Duigan and Curnow on field.
Will be interesting to see how the rest of the defenders turn out.I’ve put Stanley on instead of Otten and have McKernan as E to cover Lower’s doughnut (how did I miss that?). Hopefully the luck will continue tonight with Good Thing, Joelwood and Last Chance Varcoe.

  44. All things considered, a not too bad 979/9/Cox.

My nephew’s team, who I had a small hand in constructing:
    1369/11/Swan.
Stiil to come:Grimes, Johncock, Otten, Harris, Selwood, Swallow, Sandi, Pav, Tapscott, McKernan, Matera.
Surely a few more hundreds there.

  45. It’s a tough one Gibson. He’s a very good player, but his scores are up and down so not so great for SC. I think he had one smashing game that put his average up.

    0

    0
  46. McKernan named on the ball. Otten at back pocket. That’s changed since lockout hasn’t it? Many were predicting one of these to be the sub. Happy McKernan will get a full game cause he’ll be scoring off the pine for Lower.

    0

    0
  47. Just because they were named on field doesn’t mean they won’t be the sub, however it is more unlikely with the withdrawal of Tambling as well as Adelaide’s general injury woes at the moment.

    0

    0
  48. Selwood must have smashed it in the last quarter. I only watched the first 3 and didn’t hear his name called. 85 is disappointing but it was a wet game.

Varcoe hasn’t done enough to keep his place in my team. I’ll be jumping on the Bob Murphy train next week.

McKernan instead of Otten = FAIL

Nothing spectacular with only 2 players getting 110+. Cows are getting nice and fat this round though with players such as Heppell, Duigan, Curnow and Darling doing really well. Even Otten’s 77 will come in handy.

    0

    0
  52. I’m currently 1522 from 15, with Grimes, Harris, D.Swallow, Z.Smith, Tapscott, Pavlich and Harvey to play. Gibbs, Coxy, Knights, Kraks, Foley and RIOLI let me down.

  53. 1508/15/ Pendlebury

Only lost out on Curnow and had Foley on the ground instead otherwise everything is looking OK for a 2K plus score.

Hoping for a ton from either Grimes, Matera, Harris, Tapscott or Petrie to compliment Sandilands and Harvey to get that far however.

  54. 1506/13/Swan

Very acceptable, although have a few rookie cows to come in flat Stanley, Harris, Swallow, Smith, Tappy and Matera.

2200 from here would also be very acceptable. Otten’s 77 has given me something to think about now. Was considering a downgrade to Coad next week.

  55. 1399/12/Swan
McKernan and Krakouer the only real blremishes, had Darling on the bench WHAT WAS I THINKING. Copping a donut with Lower and Pedersen as emergencies, looking at 2200ish.

    0

    0
  56. Yeah, was kinda hoping he’d go crap so then I’d have a genuine excuse to offload him. I think Tooserious calculates his b/e at about 22.

Reckon I’ll still offload him next week for Coad, then use the cash to help upgrade Ward to Dal Santo in Round 6. Prepared to forego the extra 30-40k he might increase in the next few weeks.

    That’s the plan tonight anyway…

  58. 1413/13/Pendles

Had very limited internet time/access this week and none on Friday so didn’t know that Lower was out and as i was worried about Sandi being right i played a ruck emerg (Smith) rather than a defensive emerg (Otten). First doughnut of the season 🙁

Crabstick, if you are reading this, it turns out you were right after all about Kennedy. Should’ve stuck with him!!!!!!

Belatedly got on the Curnow train this week and geez i’m glad i jumped on.

On yesterday’s draw .. what a game!!!! Sensational effort from the Dons to fight and fight for three and a half quarters with only 20 men. Shows that the sub rule works cause in previous seasons it would’ve been 4 vs 2 on the interchange, not 3 vs 2.

Thats two muppets picked as captain in two weeks and HGL is not happy.

Will probably keep Otten another week, for his starting price I’m happy with his numbers. Everitt is going though, only reason I didn’t trade last week was because this round wasn’t H2H. Looking to pick up Coad or Savage

  63. 1812/16/Swan….. Reckon this could be my best score if boyz come home strong… But lots of rookies on field, and a few more to come…. Really happy with Heppel, Curow,Darling, Duigan…. And my new favorite Ottens….. Possibly the best performing mid-pricer (though I did have to trade him in b4 round 3, as wasn’t prepared to take the risk at start of season)

  64. 1547/15/Pendlebury

Should have swapped Lower for R. Tarrant! whoops. Flu really has knocked me about. Still I’m considering going to watch Sandringham play today though (yes, this is how much I am missing my footy! first game I will get to this year will probably be the Monday Carlton game… please don’t flog us by 10 goals this time… lol). Not sure how I will go out in the cold though, I feel so crappy.

In saying this, I notice Gamble, Peake and Clarke have been named for the Zebs. So if you have any of these guys you will need to bench them for next Thursday’s match against Brisbane as they will be ineligible to play (they wouldn’t play Thurs if they had played Sunday anyway, even if it wasn’t against the bye rules). Hope this helps someone, I know a few of you *had* Gamble at the start… 🙂

My side is ripping it up this weekend, and with Duigan to come on as an emergency in Lower’s place it’s effectively:

    1612/14/Swan

Only downer was that I made the late change of moving Richardson on to the ground for Darling as I legitimately thought the WCE would get thrashed.

Not awful happy to be honest. Alot of rooks to come.
Swan the only midfielder to score over 100 for mine. Selwood, Judd, Hodge, and Bartel all scoring between 70 – 100.
Selwood would be ripe for the picking this week if you don’t have him.

Regretting trading out Kennedy, and not jumping on Curnow, although I do have Darling, Tapscott, Heppell, Liberatore, Z Smith, Duigan, Toy, Matera, Prestia, Harris, Krakouer, Knights and Otten. So not short of cows hopefully.

McGlynn in the firing line this week, maybe even for Curnow??? What do we think? I got on Barlow very late last year but he still scored loads of points as I’m pretty sure Curnow will do, so I don’t necessarily see him as a cow, maybe a keeper.

Not awfully happy with my score, but im going along steadily. It seems Otten and Knights get a heap of the ball but don’t score highly. Otten is safe this week, but Knights is on the board. Bought in Curnow with literally 2 mins remaining before the lockout. Bloody happy I did!

  72. Spot on PA. C7’s contempt for the game and the fans is bordering on bringing the game into disrepute. They should be banned from bidding from the rights for the next 10 years. However, Demetriou will want to squeeze every last dollar out of the tv right bidding process (and to maximise his bonus).

Would be happier if MM gave him more of run on the ball to get the confidence up and get involved. Especially when the maggots are pumping teams.

Poor choice of captain and a forward line that are unable to score any more than 84 for me (Tapscott) mean I’m gonna have another sh*tty week. Thank God I’ve got a long term plan.

  89. 2247 for me – that’s 4 rounds above 2200 now – really pleased with my teams consistency!

  90. HOLY TISH!! 2515 – 439 from Pav, Sandi and Fyfe (who is turning into one of my faves pretty quick) a great way to finish off a good SC weekend.

Take out Swan, Buddy and Pavlova and I’d be at 1554!
Very average scores from most of my lot. Gibbs, Judd, Cox, Krakouer and Varcoe are the main villains. Can’t complain too much about the rest.
I take the blame for a couple of coaching errors:
    McKernan < Otten -21
    Richardson < Darling -46
    Stanley < Toy -16
    Total Coach Error: -83

  92. I’m with you PA. Feeling very average at the moment but, I can’t help thinking a big score is just around the corner. Don’t forget, a score of 2400 can jump you up the rankings big time. Don’t give up on the dream just yet. Stay cool 😎

  93. True Omen, but I would love to have just one big score to hang my hat on, just like last year when I got 2488 and that made my year. Best of luck to you too 😉 .

  94. Thanks Damo. Don’t reckon I’ll quiet get there with the likes of Swanny and Bud scoring big but could definitely have a big one next weekend with a bit of extra coin in the pocket.
