well if i get Malceski and sell Frawley i will have 350K but i think i will stick with Frawley as he is a great defender in my opinion and he always plays well on Fev

Sorry misunderstood, you want to get rid of Stevens well I suggest HarryO, I’ve got him in my side or your Eski are both good replacements.

Relton is dead weight (and I mean that literally) If you have an extra $26k trade in Rocky for him.

Gah…Gram’s out. Anyone know how long?
->Would trading Gray->Pods and Gram->Schmidt be a good use of my trades?->I know i shouldn’t burn them, but I have a pretty easy league.
-Thanks

Only if you don’t have the back up in the backline.
Gray is playing, played pretty well considering there was only Harry Taylor to kick to in the Port forward line.

hey motts,
do you, or anyone else, know what the g-o is with howlett. i was thinking of trading him in to free up some spare cash (for my 2nd bench option).
i am trying to free cash to upgrade mitchell to somebody half decent!
plz help out a true supercoach battler.
ps- if howlett is a poor option, is there anyone else that is cheap. could cash in nason for davies. thoughts??

Howlett’s first game this week, his price won’t change for a fortnight…I’d wait and see how he goes.

Dangerfield looks like he can only cut it in a good side & not an A grader. Looking at cashing out for Pods then upgrading Pods later for A grader.

Wellll I am in big trouble.
OUT… Walker (dropped), Gram (‘inj’ – how long??), Hitchcock (back), Shuey (still) and Ballantyne could well be overlooked.
With only Gumby left on the bench my forward line is shot.
Guys, help… Ballantyne and Walker for Rockliffe and Chapman or Walker and Trengove for Rockliffe and Judd (leaving just Gumbleton to cover Ballantyne in the forwards on the chance he is overlooked)?
arrrrgh
PS Craig has indicated Walker’s speed and recent form is the reason for his omission. Weird, given Walker has Adelaide’s second highest number of goals (behind the recently resurrected Dangerfield), and he can walk under his own power, which differentiates him from most of the Adelaide Crows lineup…

Spoons, why not sub Gram out of the midfield with Hodgey or Gilbee in the back line then put Goose on the field and dump Gram on the pine, Then downgrade Walks for Rocky and upgrade Either Hichy or Balla for a premium forward.

I’d say get on Rocky and upgrade to Chapman.
I’ve just done the Ballantyne –> Podsiadly trade down to get Cox in for Tippett in the Rucks.
Mitchell gets one more week before he gets the arse for Judd before his price explodes!

Thanks Paul and Brods.
Paul – you’re a mind reader, I’d put Gram on the backline pine giving me midfield bench coverage.
In the end you’ve both suggested Chapman+Rocky for Balla+Walker, which is a great move. I think I’ll get on that.
FWD line would be Brown, ROK, Higgins, Johnson, Gia, Chappy, Rock.
I’d still have work in the mids, but would be happy with the forwards.

how do you change a multi position player ?…e.g forward to backline …and can you change that player back to their original position , the following week ? and is it unlimited swaps …

press the S next to the player’s name and all the options you can use to substitute that player with become highlighted – the 2 bench players in that position and anyone else on the field that is a DPP for that position.
Yes, you can change that player back to their original position.
Yes, its unlimited.

Apparently Waite ASKED to be dropped last week – wanted to go back to get some confidence.
Wish Bower would get back on the park.

Did he play well in the 2nds? Yeah we miss Bower big time. But whats wrong with Thornton?? He is a gun and has been one our best defenders for years, even if a little outa form he should be in – especially for this game.

Yeah thinking banner or shuey, still holding out on Rohan as he is a mpp and gives me some flex on the bench till he hopefully gets a guernsey.

G’day blokes,
As stated earlier this week, my plan is not to trade this week, yet team selection has left me with a dilemma.
My f/l is ROK/Higgins/Gia/Murphy/Reg G/Delicious/Ballantyne with Hitch/Rocky on the bench.
If Balla isn’t picked, I can obviously sub him with Rocky, but, am I taking a risk going in with no f/l bench coverage? Should I be considering a Hitchcock/Pods trade? I have 100k in reserve & would make 60 odd k on the transaction, but, I have used 5 trades already, and don’t want to use my remaining trades needlessly.
Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated.

Balla out for Pods and bank it. Balla’s price will drop for the next fortnight if he himself isn’t dropped.

Cheers Spooner,
I reckon if I was to trade, it would be Hitchcock rather than Balla. I think if he plays, Balla will go alright. He has played St.K/Geel in the last fortnight, so will improve his score this week imo.

my 2 cents worth are as follows:
DONT WASTE THE TRADE!! look out for team selections at 5pm tonight, and if ballantyne isnt picked then sub rocky off instead of him. IF HE DOES PLAY leave ballantye on the field and have rocky the emergency.
As Motts says, TRADES ARE GOLD!! No point wasting a trade just for bench coverage for this week…when it comes to the pointy end of the season u will be needing them more than ever…

Cheers Cam,
Best case scenario for me is that Balla is picked, and I can run Rocky as my emerg.
Worst case is that Balla is dropped, I bring in Rocky, have no bench coverage and delicious is a late withdrawal.
I am waiting for selection for greater clarification, but, I guess the heart of this matter is the question of; is it better to cop a doughnut in order to save a trade for later this year, or, to use a trade to ensure as high a weekly score as possible?

My personal thoughts on Balla are that his price will drop in the next 2 weeks and I would have been looking to trade him in that time anyway – needed to start bolstering my forward line. In light of that, now was the time to trade him, which I did – for Rocky. If I were you, I’d consider your medium term plans for the man and if they are to keep him and ride the price dump, then do that – but if you are looking to make a move with him anyway, you won’t find a better opportunity than Pods at bargain basement prices.

Who should I bench, pods or ballantyne?

I’d say Ballantyne will actually do ok if he plays. I’d bench Pods and make him emergency in case balla is overlooked. (PS as a general rule if you’re benching a $300k player, you might want to look at trading him if not this week maybe sometime soon – just a thought.)
