  1. Go the eagles_!!! 462/5/ jack reiwoltd captain this week lol

Tapscot killed everyone, at least no relton Richardson to get 11 this week.

  2. 131/1/Pendlebury (Cox VC loophole = banked!)

Grimes and Tapscott were loopholed also… will be leaving Tapscott right where he is!

  3. 511/4/Cox (or 380/4/Swan if I don’t go with Cox as Captain).

Another somewhat awkward VC score from Cox (131). I’m thinking of keeping it. Thoughts?

Thumbs UP for keep, or Thumbs DOWN to stick with Swan, Boyd, etc.

  4. Happy now!
Traded Otten for L.Thompson (on the bubble). Full 22.

    511/4/Cox VC = Bank!

    πŸ˜€ Cox, Grimes, Darling
πŸ˜• Tapscott (groin soreness Q1, possible tribunal)

  5. 511/4/Massive (VC)

Cookie cutter score, but I’ll take it! Reckon I’m going to bank Massive’s 131.

  6. 511/4/Cox

If Krakouer doesn’t play I’ll draw a donut in my forwards. Considering he has the bye next week, am thinking an upgrade to Jack Riewoldt (he won’t be $357,100 much longer!), which would force Otten to make way to Hibberd/Thompson for the funds. Will hold off till Friday 5pm of course.

  7. Since when have those little green and red lights/bubbles been on the Team View? Tells you info about each players’ selection (or not). I’ve never noticed this before.
For both Krakouer and Heppell it says β€œSelected as emergency (unlikely to play)”.
For players OUT like Higgins, Richardson – no bubble.
For BYE players – no bubble.

  8. Putting SC aside for a minute as an indulgence to an old SCT regular, I’ve just got home from the game and wondered if anyone caught the result???
The blue and gold boys are back in town franking their excellent performances against Sydney and Hawthorn with a resounding win.
Sorry Russ but its time you and Jimmy started rattling the tin again to raise funds for the Hairy Monster’s coaching salary. Fancy playing Green as a forward tag on Hurn.

    On SC:
    Coxy is well and truly fit, mobile and playing like the extra mid that made him great;
    Darling is the real deal. Ran Grimes into the ground and took half a dozen contested grabs from goalsquare to HBF. Let’s hope he stays off the P155;
    Kerr looked much better but you have to take into account the opposition;
    Priddis must now be considered elite;
    Grimes zoned off in his usual unaccountable way and got plently of uncontested possies but murdered it several times. Can’t believe his score;
    Tapscott looked sore/restricted/slow although he showed when he got the pill he has great vision with his penetrating kick. Haven’t seen replays of the Niko bump but he can be a bit soft so hopefully it was just an Oscar performance;
    Maloney was very quiet along with Davey;
    Watts looks good for about 2021 by which time the rules committee will probably have outlawed any body contact;
    Gysberts looked lost; and
Dunn is a serious tool taking a cheap shot at Nic Nat after being tackled and disposessed by the big fella late in the game. Kerry might have a bit to answer there for the retaliation.

Anyway, did I mention the result? We’reflyingHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH!

  9. Just traded in Didak.

My most hated player from my most hated team coming off a 45 with a BE of 139 and a bye next week.

This is definitely the right time of morning to be making trades πŸ™‚

  10. What do you guys think of newman?
Ive got hurley in my backline and im thinking i might upgrade him to a premium, namely newman or deledio. Obviously im looking at that 400-450k mark for a player. If not these 2 guys, any ideas on other blokes i may have missed?

My mids and fwds are pretty strong but i feel my backs are a little off the pace.

  11. 411/3/vc Cox

No matter which way I trade I am going to wear a donut if either Heppell or Krak don’t play. I expected Richardson to get the arse but then Otten kind of screwed me. C’mon Hirdy/Malthouse don’t be a couple of douches give me some love.

  12. Would love to see a poll on what people are doing with Cox’s 131. Assume most will keep it but is anyone prepared to roll the dice and try and snare a 140+ from one of Swan or Pendles against a depleted Dogs, A Swallow against a hapless Port, Watson against GC.

I’m banking it myself. Just interested to have a discussion on it.

    FYI:
511/4/Cox … plus one defensive doughnut, maybe two
    >> contemplating a Broughton trade but only a 5% chance i’ll pull that move

    0

  13. 657/6/if coz capt but I’m a gambler so I may still go for swan a poll would definitely be interesting

    0

  14. IMO, you should stick with Gibbs. He’s a proven premium and you just ride the bumps with them at times. I have no doubt he’ll be back averaging 100+ this week and onwards.

  15. 354/4/N …. 485/4/Y
Still unsure as to whether I’ll bank the 131 or not. Need AKrak to play to ensure that all my fwd’s score … cheers Missy!
Would like to bring in a fwd but the market isn’t exactly bubbling with value, although if I could somehow squeeze Fyfe in, I’d do the trade. Swan is being dangled before me, but a couple of wise judges on a couple of different sites have warned me against trading away Boak, so, I’ll probably hold on that trade as well.
I’m happy that Grimes scored well in a losing team, but, am still waiting for him to deliver some 110+ games for me.

  16. Thanks to the Fisherman’s Friend for all the advice. I was thinking about a ruck shuffle especially since I have Sandi, Cox, Smith and Petrie/Tippet DPP. More than enough canopy in the rainforest. For now, happy to have a full 22 with the Otten > L Thompson trade.

  17. 21st Century update to the 14th Century Proverb:

    For Want of Some Cash

For want of some cash the trade was lost,
For want of a trade the player was lost,
For want of a player the game was lost,
For want of a game the final was lost,
For want of a final the league was lost,
For want of a league the coach was lost,
And all for the want of some CASH!

  18. 380 after Grimes, Cox, Tappy and Darling…. Cox should stay as VC.

Please help with advice guys…. Im 243 overall and want to keep pace with top 500. 2 scenarios this week for me….. I need to bolster my FWD and BACK line which this week will have noughts for Heppell (apparently), Higgins & Richardson if I dont trade.

Thumbs up: Get in a a FWD for Duncan/Johnson (ie Petrie) and a BACK (ie Goddard/Adcock for Broughton) to cover for Heppell

Thumbs down: Get in 2 FWDs for Duncan and Richardson (ie Petrie & Matera) and hope Heppell plays

    Any other suggestions welcome!

  20. Just pulled this from the HUN website

Boak suffered a slight concussion at training on Wednesday”

  21. The carnage continues! If there weren’t specialist teams made just for this round, any team with a full 22 would be a fair chance for the weekly prize!

  22. Anyone looking at Cloke over JRoo? He takes marks like it’s going out of fashion and with Collingwood doing so well is surely going to kick a few goals every game.

    Thumbs up JRoo
    Thumbs down Cloke

  23. Lester apparently injured and out for the season.

Should I trade for Luke thompson or wait and see how Hibberd does. Really don’t want someone just sitting wasting a valuable spot in def.

    0

    0
  24. However if Luke thompson plays well this week , with his BE -81 , you may pay an extra 60k for him next week!

    0

    0
  25. Yeah, I’m in the same position re Boak…just waiting for him to pull out a big score, but my hopes get lower each week…to be honest now I’d probably be stoked if he got 100. Can’t yet stomach spending a trade on it though! Especially as the law of sideways trading says he’ll carve it up as soon as he’s traded out.

  28. So Heppell is named on bench…but will he be the sub??? think im gonna stick with him on the bench….but so tempting to put him on. If he plays full game against GCS he will get 100+!!

  29. Bit advice needed guys.

I’ve got Selwood on the field to make use of Massive as VC. If I have two emergencies in the mids (Heppell, Harris) which one will be used as the replacement?

    0

  30. YES!!! Krak named on interchange alongside Brad Dick, Alan Toovey, and Sharrod Wellingham.Won’t be trading him out, hopefully not sub

  32. Finally I am able to make a decision on the trades. Thanks to MM and JH I may have been able to avoid the 0. Traded out Otten and Richardson and brought in Thompson and J Roo. With a few more trades in the next few weeks I will actually have half a decent side to be able to kick back and relax until the next multi bye weekend.

    0

    0
  33. Have Franklin, Rioli & Richardson on the pine. I have Higgins starting which means I am going to cop a doughnut.

I have $202k in the bank. Is it worth trading to save the zero (or possible two if Krak is names as sub)????

    Anyone in the same boat?

    0

    0
  34. Finally did it
Otten out, Thomson in (the knee article was the clincher)
Hale out, Macauley in (have Smith as the 3rd ruckman)
Gives me $471k in the bank, hoping for Chappy & Swan to come in over next few weeks.
Got all 22 fielded with emergency cover for fwd & defence. Will be stuffed with a donut if Yarran and Kraks are out!
Good luck for the round everyone!

  35. Decided to make my 2nd trade of the year by trading out Richardson for Dixon – sideways trade i know but Dixon has a BE of -22 so will likely go up more considerably in value, plus it means I won’t have a doughnut this weekend

  36. ill have 2 dougnuts this weekend Richardson, and Higgins relieved that Heppell’s playin his a gun. Hopin that Bum Krak pulls his finger out and scores a 100 for me but me thinks im dreamin

  39. A team especially built for round 6:
    570/5/GAJ
Cox, Priddis, Embley, Darling and Nicoski all getting 100’s.

2 players that need to fly are Toy and WJohnson (St K), otherwise all premiums.

    0

    0
  40. Hey Guys,

Wanna bring in JROO, but only have premiums and rookies.
Either gunna be a downgrade and cash in, or an upgrade and be broke
    :-/
As JROO has a BE of 29 and they play brisbane and he is hitting form, and also dropped $100K since Round 1, keen on him now!

Worth waiting till next week and trading out Tapscott?
Or downgrade and get rid of Breakfast Cyril?

    Any thoughts…

    0

    0
  41. Was thinking of downgrading Shane Savage to Michael Hibberd.
Hibberd is DPP which i could really use as i have goddard, deledio and gibbs in my backline and no other DPP for my midfield.
I would pocket $160K and I think Savage has peaked and also have good back up options on my bench in Pavlich & Selwood.
Very strong midfield at the moment.
    Benefits from DPP?
    Thoughts please

    0

    0
  42. Yeh going to wait on Hibberd and see how he goes.
Hopefully hes the next Heppell πŸ˜‰
    Just pulled the trigger on….
    OUT – A.Otten
    IN – J.Toy

Otten is a disgrace! Not happy at all, and dropped this week :-/
At least toys BE is -23, and he averages more than Otten and has better job security.
    Loving the GCS youngsters!

  46. 652/7/Cox

Very ordinary… Grundy’s late withdrawl was covered by Tapscott’s emergency loophole. Not that it helps with everyone else apart from Curnow sucking the life out of the Kelsos this week.

Curnow was solid again… so that’s a plus.

  47. Round 6 super team: 955/9/GAJ

Massive let downs of Goodes and ROK.

I didn’t realize that Goodes has become a bigger sook than Richo in his hay days. He’s either injured or too old. I think my early assumption that he’s not up to it anymore may be correct.

Wife’s Rd 6 special: 755/7/Cox with Newman, Lids, Gods, Stiffy, Swan, Stanton, Joey, Jobe, Lil Libba, Smith, Roo x 2, Dids, Krak and the Dish to go.
Given she’s taken the pain with Tappy and Hurny I think I might have you covered Brad.

  55. 970/9/judd(changed it before opening bounce pretty happy, he’s a GUN!)

happy I got rid of duigan this week, gibbs played a great game shutting goodes down but I have both so killed my score,

CURNOW is killing me, do I keep him or trade, looks like a keeper, let’s hope he doesn’t do a barlow and get injured!!

  56. I just realized with Heppell & Krakwhore named, barring any late withdrawals I won’t give any doughnuts which I’m pretty happy about… Will still be a miracle if I can get to 2200

  57. 621 after 8… pretty standard this week Id imagine. Got no ZEROS (unless heppell is an Emergency).
Brought in Petrie and Matera last minute to cover for Higgins and Richardson as trying to keep pace with top 500 (currently ranked 243).

  58. 589/7/Massive
Unless by some miracle Irons gets a run today I’m staring at an egg in the mids but compared to how I was looking before Hep and Krak got named I’m over the moon about it.

Still high on our win last night too. Love seeing Carlton in the Top 4!

  59. Word through from the AFL they’re closing the roof for this afternoon’s blockbuster……………………………..and 95% of the seating, bars and eateries.

  60. whoops!! Just realised I didn’t put the big C on Higgins for the Massive loophole! I remember doing it. Same funny things happened to me twice in two weeks a few seasons ago. Oh well, C’mon Swan!!!

    So, were back to 762/9/Swan.

Horsemire and Ratfink, pull your fingers out and stop using Gibbs and Jack for tagging roles!! Doi-gan is starting to attract foul aroma, and Goodesy is allowed one bad game – and only one!

Despite my ramblings yesterday re Otten, I decided to trade him for Thompson 5.25pm before heading to the pub. The Otten knee hullabaloo and WoodKrak being named (saving a Krispy) convinced me. Likely to now turn Ward into Chappy next week. Plan to then swap Chappy with WoodKrak into the mids and turn him into something useful during the culling period. That’s the plan today anyway.

  61. Bit off the subject folks but some advice please.

Cam Pederson, playing this arvo with a BE of -154!!!

Should he be a def target to downgrade to next week once hes played 2?

make some cash by trading him for say Duigan or Conca who are close to Bottom out??

    0

    0
  62. I know we’re into the round and I should stop whinging about this weeks team selection but I just remembered why I didn’t trade Curnow in when I could have after his first price rise.

THIS IS A RE-ENACTMENT OF ACTUAL EVENTS

β€œGee whiz, I’d love to bring Curnow in but I’m already really happy with everyone in my midfield. Oh, except maybe Prestia? (looks skyward, scratches chin) Nah, he’s getting games and showing a bit of form so should keep getting games. Plus (fade in suspenseful music) I will definitely need him as cover for my forward line in RD 6!!!!!!”

Always a relief when the guy you transfer in for the week gets you 126. But not nice seeing 6 out of 14 scores are less than 70 in the side. Seems like I’ll be relatively better off than most though!

  72. 1408/15 including Cox C (VC). Hopefully 7 rookies in Toy, Harris, D. Swallow, Z Smith, Heppell, A. Krakoeur & Libba can get me to 2000. Happy with new recruits Luke Thompson & Petrie (A.Otton & C.Richardson out) & C.Knights justifying faith in him. Glad ROK & Goodes quiet on non league round.

Pendlebury and a bunch of rookies to come. Will need to be extremely fortunate to crack the 2K mark this week. Heppel and Krakouer will need to avoid the green singlet to have any chance!

Happy with Foley, L Thompson. Rockliff, Knights, J Riewoldt.

I love it when trades produce tons!

  75. Is there something encrypted into the magical SuperCoach formula that only Ted Hopkins and his mates now about whereby Brendan Goddard is assured of 100+pts no matter what he does in a game of football. Seriously, for him to score 119, 102, 112, 120 and now 100 is just wrong.

I’m struggling bigtime at 1279 and only got Heppell, Pendles, Libba, Swallow, Harris and Matera to come. Secretly hoping Matera’s a late withdrawal after Knights scored 121 as my emergency. And regretting not drafting in Luke Thompson on the theory that he’s JS is poor when Davis goes down with a serious shoulder injury and he pulls out a lazy 120 to go with his two scores in the 70’s.

Still, North won today so i all’s well with the world!!

  76. 1367/15/Swan

A lot of glum faces around. Not too dissapointed overall though, except for my forward line which is getting smashed. Doing the Otten >> Thompson trade then moving Thomo on the field for Hibberd at the 11th hour has proved a masterstroke! Expecting to crack 2K, but with Swan, Ward, WoodKrak and 4 GC rookies to come, who knows! My faith in Goldstein is starting to pay off and I expect the transition to 211 in 3-4 weeks time to be very smooth.

  77. 1318/17/Judd

Another terrible round, but I knew it was going to be. Very little to come: R. Tarrant, Vardy (donut), Krak, Richardson, Prestia (oh and Libba, Swallow, Pendlebury hopefully being the exceptions)

Very happy with Cripps despite only 41 SC points, 2 goals in his first 1/2 of AFL footy!! (was a sub too). Happy made Cox my VC and Judd captain.

Goodes- 47? this is why I had my doubts.
Is Heppell playing- I have him as an *E for Otten.

5 from 5 in my tips too thus far!

  78. 1442 / 16 / Cox.
    Could this get any worse?
Yes, yes it can. 2 doughnuts to come.

Dissapointed with: Gibbs, Newman, Goddard, Duigan, Petrie (should’ve done better against an awful port side), Goodesy, Riewoldt (the nude one), Tapscott, and also having Thompson on the bench 😳

Happy with: Jumping Jack, Darling, Judd, Coxinator, and Jasper Pittard (what a find!)

Apologies to PA. I think I’m going to f#@k your leagues ranking πŸ™

  79. REALITY CHECK:
If we’ve all stunk it up then it’s not too bad. More a case of who stunk it up least. Yes, the $1000 weekly will go to someone who specifically targeted this round with many SC guns not playing from the three bye teams, but in terms of our overall possies, all those coaches are likely to have similar sob stories. Plus, it’s a non-league week.

Definitely going to pull two trades this round to try and fix up a few deficiencies.
    IN THE GUN: Gibbs,
MAY HAVE MILKED THIS COW LONG ENOUGH (Will depend on BE and other options): Lester (inj), Duigan, Tapscott

  80. Don’t do it RB!! Murphy’s SC law says the Bee Gees will go bananas the week after you trade him. Surely Ratfink will soon realise he is more damaging in the guts, he will return to his 100+ scoring ways, and peace will be restored to the galaxy.

Also, lock in Dusty Martin as POD next year. He is a beast!

  81. 1213/14/Cox.
Truly horrifying. Only 2 tons so far, Massive & Lid’s, Grimes, God & Gwilt please me with the 90’s, Curnow’s 83 was welcomed and Hurn’s 74 is manna for the soul.

    As for the rest?
A fine collection of underachievers, rapscallions and ratbags. More fit to start filming the AFL version of a β€˜Bad News Bears’ than score me SC centuries these blokes need to follow the legendary John Kennedy 3/4 address and β€œdon’t think, DO!”
Duigan and Gibbs look likely to be traded. Not sure if I want to use the trade to grab Adcock or Mundy. Not happy with Gibbs, I expected a lot more from him.

Have Heppell-Toy/Swan/Penders/Harris/Libba/Z.Smith/AKrak & Wally to rely upon to salvage this despicable round into some type of respectability.

Yarran was a late withdrawal and Pitt was always going to be a donut so it’s not too bad.

  83. 901/12/Swan, who needs to score a bazillion points or so.
Seriously thinking of next year now and concentrating on my DT team which is in 1014/12Swan and the same team set up.

  87. Looking at my Rd 6 scores tonight feels like I’ve been to a funeral.

Heading for a sub 2000 score – simply embarrassing.
9 scores under 70. Stuggling Suns rookies can’t be blamed but Reiwoldt and Goodes need a spanking. Could be the end of the line for the Hacksaw!

Good news is hard to come by. Judd’s return to dominance was heartening. But the best news by far, the inclusion of L Thompson on the bubble with a score of 126 – awesome!

  88. Finished on 1884. supercoach weekend to forget.

Traded out Krakwhore just before lockout for hibberd. Which was to cover him being out along with heppell! and they both played and combined for 200 or something. Didnt bring in L Thompson which hurts as well!! thinking i will be trading him in for McKernan this week though!!

  89. 1715!! Fukn pathetic! Even if the two doughnuts played i still would not have got to 2000. So many players were fukn useless. Gibbs, riedwodlt, goddard, tapscott, duigan, Didak again!!!, matera, z smith, johnpenis.

At least now more multi byes for ages while most of my players got all there shit games out the way!

  91. Yeah, that was horrible.

1906 – obvious lemons: Goodes, Gibbs, Smith, Matera, Tapscott and meh scores from pretty much everyone else. Dropped out of the top 1000 but only just. 1084

Lids, Massive, Darling – take the week off lads, but have a word to the rest of the boys on the way out.

  92. Small side note as I ramble on…..

If I was the kind of dodgy fella who puts in a second team (third for the year actually after Rd 4 team) I might have come 7th for the week and might feel a very strong urge to kneecap Goodesy. Lucky he’s a good bloke cause I really could have done with that cash!
