Not getting my hopes up yet though, scored 750-odd from 5 players in the Friday night game last week and still didn’t crack 2000 (due to Nic Nat and Selwood pulling out 5 minutes before the bounce and no playing emergencies to cover!!!)

“four points is four points” -that’s sometimes how I used to feel watching the saints defensive battleplan when all they’d do is chip it around te half backline or make it so bloody difficult for anyone to score you’d be wondering where you left your pillow when Ross was in charge. Has been interesting watching Watters (left to pick up the pieces) play all the young guys -one in particular- that should have got runs in the team a lot earlier. I’ve put this year down to trial and error, not so much a complete rebuild but a definite change underfoot.
Um.. anyway now I have hijacked your post (sorry) I just think Clarkeo was playing it safe. The hawks boys didn’t look all that excited after the game either. I would have been shocked too, I think at one stage (not sure about the end) you had pretty much double the possessions. Also buddy’s accuracy has been shocking!!!!

Buddy back to his best, Beams signs the dotted line and comes straight into the seniors, as does Rusty Sidearse in the SCTTL2. Horsley is an emergency in case the little master doesn’t come up.
Have got Scrubs this week in SCT 1, where we have 13 uniques, including captain. Ditto for SC F.A Cup match vs Jakob’s Crew. Have different skipper & 14 uniques in my SC Champions League battle with Watson 4 Brownlow. Have 9 uniques & captain vs Walking Disaster in SCTTL2 League.
Been thinking about pre-season predictions. We -as in the SCT & footballing fantasy communities- have got a few right this year, but it would seem that Guthrie & Smedts are not in this category. I’m not commenting on them as footballers or men, but, purely, from their SC value, as well as their SC scoring perspective where their growth has been pretty minimal.

Amazing night watching the bombers.
Had a good feeling about tonight and oh boy, didn’t we deliver! Improvement coming from all angles- Melksham, Bellchambers, Lonergan and Davey just to name a fraction. Not to mention the leader of the Brownlow so far this year IMO Brent Stanton. Crameri is a machine in the forward line, and Watson is the clearance king. Ryder has improved out of sight and his work rate is now above par. Hocking is the new Ling. Fletcher seems to be getting better with age. I think after he retires (if he ever does) he should be the next Arsenal keeper! With a few injured players due back soon, there are still a lot of positives for the near future. On top of this we have Hirdy, Bomber, Goodwin and “the weapon” in our coaching staff. A top 4 birth could be well on the cards now!
And yes, I know your probably thinking “calm down, you only beat an injury depleted West Coast outfit” and thats why I’m trying to keep a lid on things. But it is very hard too when I’m not used to seeing my beloved red and black on top of the ladder!
What is also a bonus is that my Supercoach is doing very well. Looking for a 2300 + this week, but I’m sure many are. Good luck SCT coaches for the remanding games!

Too many other heavily picked players dominated this week, which will therefore make my score look lousy and will distance me further from the leaders.

To be honest Hyper, we have built 2 cash leagues with mates, work colleagues & family over 5-6 years & we now have a situation that we have 38 coaches fitting into 36 avalible spots. The last player from each league this season is relegated to the next season, as we had been dropping 3 in previous years.

Highest points……$100
If you start with 8 coaches like we did many years ago, you find by talking about it to most people you come accross you will gradully build a league. Untill we built the full league, we just went off most points for the season to take the cash.

Pretty average score compared to what others have had so far, but I’ve only got 12 premiums playing this round so im pretty stoked with the score im on. hoping for 2100+ might even get close to 2150+. JPK didn’t cost me as much as I was thinking, my second option for the ‘C’ this week was pendles who only scored 110 or something. Ellis was pretty poor and looks like he might need to go, GWS rookies all did well. Rockliff only got around 85 but I heard he’s been battling a virus all week so he is forgiven. Sidebottom is an ablosute legend best trade I’ve done all year was bring him in a few weeks ago. No one has really done bad for me this week, just having those extra couple if rookie instead if premium scores along with Ellis’ 2 that has cost me. Next week should be good, get a couple of my premiums back and got a good amount of cash for upgrades. Got no one playing today so just sit back relax and watch a game or two.
