Righto, How’d You Go?

Just scrape over the line or did you give your opponent a good old fashioned flogging?

  1. Thank god I got the week off. Only on 1790 with jroo and lids to go.
Gonna be an interesting week next week already without Gibbs and Judd I’m also gonna lose pav, lucky I got two trades

  3. I should end up on about 2180, not completely awful given the carnage this week.

Mumford’s huge score allowed me to sneak over the line against MJ, who has been knocked out of our league in straight sets. Bad luck, mate, you had a top season, a bit of bad luck come finals time really hurts. I’m sure you’ll be up there again in 2012, and I’m also sure you’ve got other leagues in which you are alive and kicking.

Got a query: I had a tie in one of my semis, but my opponent finished second on the ladder and I finished sixth. That means he goes through, doesn’t it? In advance, freakin’ lucky bastard.

  6. Somehow managed to struggle to 2214… Thanks to mummy and J Roo!! The latter has stepped up the last two weeks to cover Petrie and chappy perfectly!

Some disappointing players, namely broughton, pav, Petrie, suckling on debut…

    Bring on the prelims!!

Dissapointed again with the some pretty dismal scores – Broughton, Fisher, Hurn, Petrie, Pavlich, O’Keefe and a DONUT! (from Neon Leon – I hate you Mick Malthouse). These boys have to pick up for the last couple of weeks.

But then you have the freaks of the week – Goddard, Bock, Swan, Boyd, Ablett, Thompson, (still don’t understand how he got 162 with 51 touches going at 71% efficiency ????) Fyfe and Sylvia – All over 120

More consistent performances from Gibbs, Deledio, Pendlebury, Priddis, Cox, Franklin and Cyril (just sneaked in). These boys just doing their job nicely.

Had Pederson on the bench 🙁 bad mistake. Didak looks to be back which could be nice for a emergency (if Pav doesn’t play, but I belive he will).

Okay performance from the boys. I move in front of my mate in overall in which I have money on, by 50 points. No trades left.

Exciting 2 weeks coming up with 4 semi-finals to be played 🙂

  8. 2443… not half bad!

This to me illustrates that you can ill afford to mess up the captaincy choice. Would have smashed all comers in SCT2.

Deledio and Riewoldt combined for 202 to put some much needed polish on the round.

Now for the tricky choice of the final trade in the kitty to cover Gibbs this coming week. I’m thinking either Bock or Adcock but I might just monitor the Movers to see what the experts reckon!

Shattered that I cruised through my cash league undefeated only to lose the first two finals. [insert expletives here.] Also bowed out of SCT1, but got through in Supercoach Battle and against Deano in SCT 16 Jets.

Knocked off Scatts and PA in DT semis.

WOWIE!! Back from the dead in both Semis! Massive performances from Boyd, Mummy and Ms Sylvia on super Sunday!! Comfortably home in my cash league, and scraped home against Carl Spackler by 6 points in the LoEC! Don Cottagers coming up in the Prelim.

Droopy, Broughton, Fisher, Suckers, Montags were woeful and will be put their paces at training this week. While will have a nervous wait on Roo and Pav (injuries), and Ms Sylvia at the MRP. Judd and Gibbs will be making a quick trip to Arizona. Welcome back Chappy and Enright.

Lucky win v Dustbinlids in Foreigners league so play Norweigan Wombats next weekend. In pre-lim in all leagues now but plenty of worries with Nick Roo & Pav possibly injured, Sylvia reported & Gibbs already out.
Boyd, Scotty Thompson & Sylvia only players to excel. Some right spuds amongst the rest. I’ll need better from you next week lads!!

Team has come good at the right time, bit poor from Fisher and Gilbert this week but Boyd, Sylvia, GAJ and Mumford made up for it!

  14. 2488/Swan.. Could be in some serious forward line trouble this week with question marks on Sylvia (I think there isn’t much in it), Isaac Smith (hammy), NRoo (knee), Pavlich (lower leg)

  15. 2500 last week… this week 2147 with Ablett Captain.

    Less than 70 from
    S.Fisher
    Broughton
    Otten
    Monty
    Pavlich
    Petrie

    + Sylvia on the bench

Fell across the line in my solitary semi. Came down to Sylvia vs J.Roo and Col delivered the goods for me (about time too).

Some homework for you guys: is Tutt’s 147 the highest ever score on debut?

Happy with my SC score, happy with my North boys, disappointed i lost my two multis.

  18. Did’nt get to see much of games. Can anyone shed some light on:-
    1) I.Smith’s Hammy – much chance for coming week?
    2) Sylvia Report – think he’ll do time for it?
    3) Nick Riewoldt injury – how did he look when he came back on?
    4) Pav’s injury (read reports in paper & sounds unlikely, but anyone who seen first hand would be good).

Won all 3 of my semi’s and will now be playing in all 5 prelims but……BUT…….I have some player issues for sure. Only have Gibbs as a Carlton player but doubts on Brought, Pav, Smith and Roo. No trades left and I reckon I’ll be coming in on a wing and a prayer.

Beat the Bro in Law now just have to beat my best mate in the prelim. Grrr

  20. 2173. Lost both semi’s in my two highest priority leagues. Having none of Mumford, Thompson or Boyd really killed me. Late Sunday, my main matchup comprised of my Sylvia + 10 points VS Cotchin + Martin. Sylvia did his best to get me over the line, but to no avail.

  21. 2279/Swan

Tough weekend with the team coming home strong.
Good – Sylvia, Swan, Boyd, Goddard, GAJ, Stanley(maybe it is ok that I did not trade him for Bock a month ago?)
    Bad – Fisher, O’Keffe,
Ugly – Broughton, Suckling, Pav (traded him in last week for a finals boost)

Got though this week and with three trades left planning some good trading Friday night.

  22. AMAZING effort on Sunday as I was 205 pts down with 2 games to go. Opponent had R.Murphy and I had Boyd + Sylvia to come. First Boyd makes 90 odd more than Murphy, then Sylvia ripps one from his nether region for the Burblers to scrape home…

Though I did get bundled out in SCT2.
2009 with 3 prelims to come.

  23. Was a bye for my boys but we still managed 2463….gablett as captain.

Very happy, even had enright on the bench with puopolo on the ground and pav’s 31.

    585 weekly rank.

Finally got my avg over 2200…upto 2208 😀

  24. 2153/Pendles

Still alive in all 3 leagues after just scraping through with 2 close wins – beat Shane Crawford by 50 pts and won by 9 pts in another league. FEW! Smashed my other opponent by 299 pts.

Was prepared to point the finger of blame fairly and squarely towards Drew Petrie who wasn’t invited to the party at the dome on Saturday night, but realised he had help from Fisher, Suckling, Puopolo, Daisy, McEvoy and ROK. Even Pendles had a quiet one as captain (Boyd was my vice – DOH!) and up against Captian Ablett in 2 leagues I was looking at an uphill climb.
Enter Eagle Kennedy whose timely return to form was a godsend, and Cloke, Fyfe, Boyd and Goddard all chimed in with 120+.

With 1 trade to go, it’s time to rev up TNJs for some serious prelim finals action!

  25. S: 2218. A: 2217.14 OR: 7084
Won 1/3 semi-final’s on the back of Dish, Pav & Howe’s 4. Was this guy injured? A last quarter sub?
Such is the life of a SC player.
I have 3 prelim’s to look forward to, including a tough battle against those Dirty Kelsos, whilst I am potentially one game away from a GF encounter against Motts in another league.
I am extremely happy with DT where I am up to 736 and have 5 prelim’s to look forward to. Won my SCT 2 battle against the Hairy Cat -bad luck mate, you may get the chance to avenge this result in SC if results pan out that way.
I also want to extend my congratulations to VENOM. This team has defeated my slaves twice in approximately the last 6 weeks which in my mind conclusively illustrates that the result was a fair indication of where our teams are at. I’m not sure if you post here regularly or not, but, I just wanted to acknowledge your win and say well played sir.
    RANDOM FACT
I reached the exact same score in SC & DT.

  26. I had big dilemmas about how to use my last trade to try and get over the line.
Jamar to Jacobs and Mzungu to Wells were two I was looking at.
In the end, on advice of some mates, decided to save trade for Gibbs this week, on the basis that neither trade I was looking at would guarantee a big increase in points.
Ended up winning thanks to massive games from Thompson, Sylvia and Boyd.
Jamar to Jacobs would have made it even bigger, but at least now I have a trade left to cover Pav or Gibbs. Great result!

  28. 2411 this week with Gazza as the C, definitely the perma captain again.

I will make 2 trades this week, B Gibbs into Bock and N.Riewoldt into Sylvia, hopefully he doesn’t get suspended

I might just go Gibbs into Bock then, keeping 1 trade up me sleeve if I make the Granny

  33. Umm bit of topic but mark Harvey said seven players are injured from the weekends game and last time I checked they only got 5 players fit in the wafl. So what happens if you can’t field a team? And has it happened before?

  34. Its going to be carnage this week folks. Already ruled out for me are Judd, Gibbs, Broughton Sylvia, Duigan and Pav. Doubtful are Riewoldt, and iSmith? Can anyone confirm iSmith has potential hammy??

All lines are going to be down to bare bones. No trades left. Luckily my 3 prelim opponents are in the same boat, but I think they have trades up their sleeves. Bugger.

  36. Was only thinking last week that i’ve carried too many fringe players such as Heppell, I.Smith, Mzunga etc that were not getting a game. With Broughton, Pav & Sylvia going down & probably more to come it’s all hands at deck. Going to be tough who to trade out as there are a few in the gun!

  37. Ok…. 1 trade left, I have both Pav (prob. season) & Sylvia (def. goneski for the season).

    Which fwd. line trade?

Sylvia > J Kennedy (Thumbs up)

    Pavlich > O’Keefe (Thumbs down)
