  2. pretty chuffed that i went against everything i always said and put in watson as skipper over swan atm.. herald sun site says he only got 98 in the end.

also held onto stevie j.. bout time he pulled his bloody weight.. seems he yanked out a 123 or something.

buckley sitting on the bench as emergancy! at least he will get a nice price rise with a 96 odd…

  5. 353 / 3 / Boyd.

Swans last quarter meant a poor score. Thought Bartel deserved more, but Selwood, I love you.

Also, I really, really need to pick players on their talent. Not weather I like them or not.
    Prime example: Heath Shaw.
    God dammit.

  6. 596/5/Swan not a bad start but expected more out of chappy and swanny and i didnt expect a great score from Bum krak so ill take his 70 and Heath Shaw is a gun i might have to start making him Captain.

why oh why did i trade in adcock instead of shaw????

ah well what can you do, good game, good to see collingwood lose in a close one, makes the hawks look not as bad!

very happy with joelwood, very nice 100th game

Tidy start to the weekend and loved seeing the Cats get up to spark the rest of the year a ltitle.

    H.Shaw – WELCOME

J.Selwood – If you could just stop cheating there would be some serious man-love happening. 6 frees out of 24 for the Cats ?????

D.Swan – Such a team player. My only worry from the start of the year was whether he had more respect for me or MM. 2 touches in the last quarter says it all.

A.Didak – If only a couple more people dared me to bench him for Smithy 🙂

S.Pendlebury – Get a haircut you stinky hippy

  10. There is no greater frustration than forgetting to make the grimes to shaw trade!!! Now I have a doughnut instead of 150. I was 385 overall but I can kiss that goodbye.

Not a bad start, should have had Joel as the C in his 100th afterall and running out of patience with Dids.

spewing i didn’t leave selwood as captain, and that i didn’t put shaw in this week!

  13. 423/4/Chapman
Very unhappy with Chappy’s output after making him skipper two weeks in a row since bringing him in instead of Pav.

Dids looking like being a straight swap for Richardson in a couple of weeks! 🙂

  14. Can anyone claim a better start than this?
    634/4/Swan
    Shaw 149, Swan 98 (196), Selwood 153, Johnson 136.

  15. 474/3/Joelwood

Wowie!! Decided to go with my gut and put the big C on Joelwood and he came through with a 153 and 7,264 frees for. Well played Sir, well played.

Swan and Chappy dissapointing, but no matter as my two main league opponents had one of them captain!

Chose +cock over Heater as the Grimey trade. Why wouldn’t Geelong tag him? why?? I’d be happy with 100 from +cock against the Bombers.

Thought “woja” would’ve got more than a measly 48, I really did. Same with Bartel FWIW. Not happy Jan.

  17. A nice start: 740/6/Swan

Brought in Swan this week for Higgins, and my trade from Grimes to Taylor which allowed the other to occur was a beauty… thus far.

  18. Anyone (ESP in top 1000) who “forgets” to trade out a 400k season-ending injured player when they’ve most likely been mulling over it all week….. I’d say is either a liar, definitely deserves it, and why would you tell everyone about it? The grimes injury has been discussed on afl.com, heraldsun, supercoach talk, etc all week. To forget is no excuse buddy, Friday night football is on every week…. Did you also forget there was a top-of-the-table game on tonight? If you missed it, cats won by 3 points.

  19. 349 / 2 / Swan (and Selwood)

I was thinking about upgrading to Chappy this week, but went with Goodes instead. Pretty happy with the choice as Chappy will be nice and cheap in a couple of weeks time.

  20. 411/3/Mundy

Pretty happy i traded Shaw in for grimes! Selwood killed it and Pendles was respectable. Off to a good start.

  22. 251/2/Goodes

Captain choice was hard today. Had Selwood last week. Doh!
    Thought:
    Swan v Selwood
    Cox v Sandilands
    Franklin v Goddard
    Pavlich v Priddis

    Went with Goodes!!

  23. 592 / 4 /Pendlebury

I had to get Shaw into my team after giving him a big, positive write-up on the ‘grimes out, who in?’ thread a few days ago. Other two players were Selwood and Krak.

It’s amazing how much more I want to post my scores up here now that started so well. The last few weeks I didn’t even want to look at this site on the weekends. 🙂

  24. 398/3/Boyd

I jumped the gun slightly last night and posted my scores on before the supercoach scores dust had settled and as a result short changed myself by 24 points.

Big shout out to Selwood Pendles and Stevie J.

  25. Just been sitting here working out how im going to bring in swanny after the next bye and noticed something interesting.

He is either getting more attention from opposition or is underperforming against better sides,

In his 7 games, he has avg’d around 158 against port, north and richmond, but only about 102 against dogs, dons, blues and cats.

Could be that theyre just harder games to play in but from what I gather big games never bothered him before.

PS: Im not taking anything away from the fact his overall avg is still 130 odd!

  26. 604/5/Pavlich. Last minute change with the big C from Swan to Pav. Happy with the trade from Grimes to Shaw.

  28. Happy with my new recruit in heath shaw last night ,and he didn,t let the scrotum scratchers down with a fine performance of 149 … and a special big mention should go to simon buckley making his highest score of 93 this year , edging out young libber to make it in the side ..

  29. 706/5/Swan….
Very happy with Selwood, Stevie J and bringing in Shaw…..Swanny as captain not so good…But my main league opponent had swan also so pretty happy thus far

  30. OK, seeing Shaw’s score last night I’m sure is very upsetting for those that didnt take him (like me).

The only positive I can see from this is now that I should be able do a Grimes to Enright straight swap therefore saving an extra trade (ignoring the finals bye that I’ll try to ignore)

  31. 400/3/Priddis

Welcome to my team Shaw, Selwood is a legend, Swan, acceptable, and supports why I didn’t chose you as captain. All good.

  32. 391/4/watson

traded in lids instead of shaw and had selwood as VC. But not too worried (yet) jobe should beat Swans 98 against the lions and lids will get his usual 100+.

Not too bad but my h2h is against my WIFE so bragging rights in the household. Unfortunately she is 374/3/ Sandi. So I am looking a little shaky at the moment. Hopefully the big Cox dominates against Sandi to even out the scores

Geelong played well and were too good last night. Well played. Swan/Penders/Joelwood/AKrak kicked things off nicely.

  36. 181/2/Harvey

I have no Geelong players and very few Collingwood representatives.

That will soon change once all these rookie downgrade targets come good (Callian, Mzungu, Smith, Pedersen, Hibberd) however looking WAY ahead how many Geelong and Collingwood stars would be rested coming up against potential cellar dwellers in round 24?

This of course is coupled with the thought of Geelong’s bye in round 22…

Selwood and Bartel are must haves otherwise!

  37. 421/3/Swan

This game can be annoying! Grimes goes down last week, I have a narrow loss then see around $25K fall off his price. Try to upgrade to Shaw last night and I am less than $2K short only to watch Shaw smash it last night and his price will now be around 25K more! Argh! I hate Q1 injuries!!

Also not happy with Joey getting suspended. Am now left to rely on young Conca.

    Rant over!

  38. Afternoon all!
    334/3/Boyd
Mottsy’s trades this week were Grimes out, Rance in (lets hope Rance keeps his recent good form up) and Harris out, Boyd in (don’t think I’ll be regretting that one).
Good luck to all today and Bundy, I feel for you mate. But gee, how good are those Bulls? Bring on Miami!

  39. Whoever picked Pratt this week as a replacement for Grimes will be spitting chips as looks like he might get suspended this week…

  41. Currently playing:
Tapscott, Petrie, L Thompson, McKernan, Stanley, D Swallow
Might be lucky to get 100 between the lot of ’em.
Its time to put on make-up,
Its time to light the light,
Its time to get things started,
(Why don’t you get things started)…

  44. 553 / 5 / Boyd

Gazza Ablett on track for a 200 🙂 get him in he is dominating – could get 50 disposals :p dont have him though

    0

    0
  45. chris knights ??? what is wrong with him he must have the worst disposal efficiency – 133 in dream team and 66 in supercoach

    0

    0
  46. Ablett just missed the 200 mark. 198. Proven he can still score well with no support…

    0

    0
  47. GAJ fell a bit short of 200, 198!!!! great effort though. im interested in this TJ Lynch kid (great name!). his a 199cm key fwd, normally i would never pick a 1st season key fwd but seriously, the kid has some skills and at pretty much 200cm, his a handfull for any fullback. luke thommo had a quiet one, waiting on benny jacobs to play tonight to see if his any good.

    0

    0
  48. Thomas Lynch (GCS) – 2nd game – nailed it again with 82 (Avg 88.5).

Could be nearly time to milk Matera and turn him into Lynch. Make about 150K on the downgrade plus Lynch will make a top gain after his 3rd game. Surely he’ll make cash faster than Matera from now on and he’ll most likely be warming the bench anyway.

Suns have the bye next week so don’t rush.

  49. Not gonna bother putting up my score. Getting smashed in everything. Shattered. Will go down heaps in the rankings… Big changes this week!

  52. 661/7/swan, I have Dids, Tappy and the Dish taking up valuable space in my Fwds with Roo so I cant expect big scores.

  53. Don’t know how to spell the growing whistling sound of a steep descent back to earth but I do know that the Fish could be about to hit harder than Patty Dangermouse’s scon on the sacred turf.

    719/8/Goodes

Not a complete disaster yet but will need some big scores to salvage a decent score.

“So Tadgh, what did you think of Didak, Petrie and Tapscott’s efforts?”

    “Diddilly Dee Potatoes!”

    0

    0
  54. Check out FanFooty – Ryan Harwood has 6 point as the sub!!

Talk about a magnet. Might have to get him in next week. Even if he doesn’t play he still might knock out an 80.

  55. Can’t believe it. Traded out Boak this week and he’s on 76 at Quarter time :\.

Like my trade from Grimes->Adcock though.

  56. Can’t believe people talked me out of getting Shaw this week.
Got a midfielder, Watson who is in red hot form. Now he gets subbed off. Knew I should have gone with my gut feeling. Robbed :/

  58. 1008 / 11 / Boyd.
Let downs as I’m sure everyone has: Petrie, Tappy, Thompson, and Heppell.
Been a huge week for high scores. Pity not many found their way into my team!
Happy with Grundy (traded in for Grimes. Thank you very much), Martin, Selwood, and Goodesy.

Here’s hoping Boyd pulls out 160!

  59. 1001/11/Swan,

Not too flash, but looking around the leagues and I’m not travelling too badly by comparison, a couple of whoppers and I reckon everyones got Tappy, Petris and a couple of other spuds.

  60. 898/11/Mundy

Good recovery from Goodes and Zaharakis considering i was 480/7, and that included B. Smiths 7, L Thompson, Petrie, Heppell, Chapman and Petrie have let me down, 3 weeks in a row Swann just crackin the ton, J watson gettin injured hurt me as well,( I thought that was funny ), will not get me to the 2300+ i was hopin for, just gotta hope that Mundy, Fyfe, Pavlich, Franklin, Broughton, Deledio, Goddard, Priddis, Cox, Darling and N. Lower all score well enuff for me to crack 2200,,,,,,,,,,,,Go The Blues

Got 11 guns to go, is 2250 going to be good enough to improve my current rank of 2500?
    Thumbs up or down cheers.

  62. Ben McGlynn – you are gaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn!
Jobe Watson – you are a soft co%k, could’ve waited ’til after next week when I had you earmarked for a GAJ sideways.
Gary Ablett – refer above for Watson, needed you to spud for one more week for a straight swap.
James Hird – you had to be the first coach to sub off a premium with a slight niggle after he takes two contested marks and kicks two goals from fifty you faaaaarkin hero.

Looking forward to going to the Derby tomorrow and watching my boys lose by a point with Hurny and Duff spudding it up!

  63. 933/10/Goode Enough

Hopefully the majority of pain is out of the way now.
10 premiums plus Lower and Darling to come so should still get over the 2000 mark. Feeling pretty confident in the league match.

Fisher, Murphy, Broughton, Lower, Priddis, Goddard, Cox, Sandilands, Pavlich, N Reiwoldt, Darling.

    Versus

217 + Deledio, Gilham, Polo, A Selwood, J Reiwoldt, Lynch, (Rioli)

  64. 1152 / 12 / Swan

Going okay. Annoyed I benched Knights over Petrie and Tapscott. Last week I has them both benched. Give them a run this week and they both spud it up like two school girls. Enright once again very dissapointing! 68??? pull the socks up mate!

Hoping to get 2100+ but that might be wishful thinking 🙁

    0

    0
  65. 1225/12/Joelwood

Going ok, but Tappy and Droopy disgust me. Particularly Droopy whom I gave chance by benching WoodKrak. Was always going to play Tappy but he just had a plain old stinker!

+Cock’s 94 is acceptable. Flat Stanley, I applaude you, and you may survive yet another week. Goldstein, thank you. Your 158 will make the transition to 211 in a few weeks all more the easier.

In good nick in my cash league and the LoEC. Joelwood was the catalyst.

  66. Thought I had all my leagues covered this week but now have a real battle – my hardest opponent had a doughnut coming with hibberd on the field . Then low and behold Hurley (who I normally have in backs where there would have been an emergency and who was last week switched to the forwards where there is no cover) is a late withdrawal replaced by hibberd . About 150 point turnaround 🙁

Extremely pleased with my Saturday night players… All tons out of Goodes, Grundy, Rockliff and Boak and dragged the Kelsos back off the canvas!

Moment of truth for Fyfe and Deledio this week… First two upgrades for the season so I’m hoping all goes well!

  76. 862/10/Mundy
Goodes was great, +cock 94 on debut was decent enough, but, Heppell deals out a 69 and Matera a 50-odd. NOT GOOD ENOUGH BLOKES.
Still have Goddard/Poo/Lower/Gwilt/Hurn/Mundy/Lids/Libba/Massive/211/Super Pav & Roo to finish.

    ROO 73pts @ 1/4 TIME!!!

  77. BOLLOCKS!!! i make my first upgrade of the season from foley to watson and give him the big C and of course he has a shocker and gets injured. brilliant.

  79. it’s tight down at the SCT OG’s league. PA and i are in a tight battle, but i reakon im gonna get past the line. 1640/17 vs. 1683/19. licking me lips!

  83. finished with a respectable 2098

This week i think i will pull the trigger on Pittard ——-> Boyd to give me a team of

Gibbs, Deledio, H.Shaw, Adcock, Gilbert, Duffield, Heppell (Lower, Otten, Stanley)

Swan, Goddard, Selwood, Boyd, Cotchin, D.Swallow (Iles, Bewick, Jacobs)

9 out of 22 players with scores that where terrible, i ended up with 2106, it pains me to think if those 9 played well what i would have ended up with.

  86. Anyone considering Hargrave?
And is anyone thinking that Enright’s low price will be great, thinking of getting one of them, who should i get, have to trade out grimes obviously!

  87. And have Luke Thompson, Nick Lower, Nick Duigan and Simon Buckley taking up defender sports 6-9, have to field 2, who do I field, i think Buckley has already locked in a spot, so it’s out of Duigan/Thompson/Lower, I might just bring in Duigan, but not sure, thumbs up for Buckley & Duigan, thumbs down for Buckley & Lower, or comment for Luke Thompson
    thanks

Foley has to score around 115 to maintain his price, and i hought he was gonna go up to 450-500k for me, and will go down 20k if doesnt score 115, his breakeven, is he a keeper in the mids, or do i trade off, he has been giving be 100s and 90s alot, i hate how supercoach prices work, have a midfield of
    Swan
    Judd
    Selwood
    Chapman
    Montagna
    Foley
    LIBERATORE
    SMITH
    IRONS

so do i keep Foley or do I upgrade him to say a Mundy…… who hasn’t scored under 113 yet this year….
