SuperCoach Team of the Week – Round 1

Written by Motts on March 28 2011

I’m kicking off a new regular post this week – The SC Team of the Week. In it you’ll find all the highest scoring players at their positions over the last round and what the team would’ve scored if you had them all playing for you. The bench players are simply the best of the rookies at that position – no Ruck rooks played on the weekend so I’ve just listed the two cheapest options who did play.

I’ve added the player values for this week’s Team of the Week and unfortunately you couldn’t have afforded it – before rookies were added in the on-field players totalled $9,590,100.

  1. Only have 7 of those guys in my team. Traded Tapscott out late in the piece and already regretting it…

  3. It’ll all even out over time mate. Score 2300+ every week and I suspect you’ll finish very near to the top of this thing.

  4. Had 8 and did the same with Tapscott. I’d like to see the ‘Dud’ team of the week. Players with high expectations that scored very low. I’m sure i wasn’t the only one with the likes of Selwood (bit harsh), Yarran, Foley etc.

Interesting to see so many talking trades already. I figure unless you have a LTI sit still for a week or two and see how guys are averaging. One week doesn’t make a premium! This year with the byes i think there will be more opportunity to make up lost ground (overall and in your leagues)

  5. My overall win team outscored my league win team 2356 to 2153, the R6 effect has its upsides as well.

  10. The AFL at some stage will have to recognise the importance of supporting both competitions and allow Champion Data to provide live stats for SC.

  11. Had 9 of them, 6 played, Had Heppel and McKernan as emergencies and Darling just sitting back doing nothing!! So picked the right rooks but my Mid-rangers like Yarran and Varcoe let me down

  12. 8. Regretting trading out Tapscott last minute. But I got Darling, Matera, McKernan on my FWD bench so I don’t think he’d make a massive difference to my team anyhow:|
