Saturday Arvo Football – R9 2013

Written by Big Sexy on May 25 2013

Port Adelaide v Geelong (AAMI):  Will Port find their form again at home against the Cats.  Have the Cats started to waver, or was last week just a speed bump.

GWS v West Coast (Skoda):  Another non-event that only has SC interest.

St Kilda v Western Bulldogs (Etihad):  The battle of the battlers.  Both teams are at the cross-roads a pretty much looking at next season, but a win this week might just spark something (or not).

  4. Decided to have a quick look at the Geelong v. Port game to check the SC scores of the Port players… Only to realise I no longer have them anymore. ‘Twas a magical feeling 🙂

  16. Two tough calls to make.

    To take the 100 from Blicavs or go for it with Maric.

    To take Nic Nat’s 148 as VC or to go with Ablett.

    Both big calls especially considering Maric and Ablett both have good recent records against Essendon and Hawthorn respectively. Think I’ll take the risk and roll the dice on both

  18. What’s the word with JJK’s calf injury? Heard he was mothballed in the 4th quarter… Hopefully he is alright, been an absolute gun thus far.

    Kinda bummed I traded Blicavs (100) and Dwyer (albeit 51) out so early. Both are making some decent coin.

    Gearing up for a big night of footy. GO THE TIGERS!

  19. Slowly forgetting the mess that was last night thanks to Stevie J, Jimmy B and big Cox raising the bat. Even Hartlett pulled out a 94. Can’t wait till Sunday night when just maybe Nic Nat gets handed a guernsey. Bring on Saturday night footy I say.

  20. I put the VC onto Montagna as a smoky when I saw Cross and Cooney were not playing making the midfield battle slightly easier. Seems to be a good choice

    @HT

    with Montagna on 75. My other player Brett Goodes on 51 at the long break too, nice =)

    Sadly I traded in Thurlow this week and he scored just 30-odd while I was 40k off getting Stevie J (though hopefully Walker does well anyway). Swan spudding up hurts but Blicavs scoring 100, that was great.

    Good luck for the rest of the round guys

  21. Oh and Hutchings and Staker likely trade in options next week for a double downgrade to open up some money heading into the bye rounds (where I can hopefully finish my team by bringing in 4 or so more guns).
