Saturday Arvo Games, R16 2013

Written by Big Sexy on July 13 2013

Port Adelaide v Hawthorn (AAMI):  The surprise packet of 2013 come up against to top of the table Hawks……. Dare I say it… Go Port!

Players to Watch: Mitchell, Buddy, Lewis, Cyril, Boak, Heartless.

Geelong v Melbourne (Simonds):  Now this should be a close one!  i believe it was two years ago my boys played the Dee’s at the Cattery which resulted in a coach sacking.  Given they’ve already sacked one this year, will be intersted to see if they can sack two in a year

Players of interest:  Selwood, Bartel, Enright, Hawkins, Motlop, Kelly, Stokes, Taylor, Johnson, Blicavs, Grimes, Terlich.

Richmond v Gold Coast (Cazaly): Did the Tiges hit a road bump last week, or are they back on the raod to 9th.  This is a must win if they are any hope this season.

Players to watch:  The Little Master (if he plays), Cotchin, Martin, Rance, Vlastuin, J Roo, Lids.

  2. stevie j (T/U) or ablett (T/D) for C?
Concern is that ablett may be late withdrawl and that would mean a shit vc score from last night or someone from tomorrows games

  3. didnt watch the first half, but just saw robbie gray has over 90 points, and then checked his stats and he had not a lot more than 13 touches and a goal. did anyone watch the game and know if he did anything really special that mightve jumped his scores up?

  4. Stevie J on 21 disposals at half time going at 38% (65 SC Points). Imagine if he disposed of the ball well – would be absolutely destroying it!

  5. Stevie J on 118 SC points with 7 minutes to go:

Thumbs Up – Bank Stevie J’s score as captain
Thumbs Down – Go with GAJ

  6. Any updates on Selwoods current score?
Are we likely to see some big scaling after such a wet game?

  8. Thank you Stevie J and Ducky! Courtesy nod to Thurlow for opening up the loophole.

Looking like 781 from 5 players so far – Pendles (VC), Swan, Dangerfield, Selwood and Stevie J.

As an added bonus, my opponent’s POD’s have been Franklin, Bartel and Terlich.

Who to keep on the field or who will score more?

  11. I’m kind of hoping Nic Nat doesnt play this week.. Nicholls is my EMG and is on absolute fire!
If Rowe wasn’t playing I could sub him on and get Nicholls score.

  12. New recruit Selwood went bang on debut, very happy.

Awkward score for Gazza, if scaling gets him up at 125+ I might take his score with VC loophole, if not, what to do?

    T/UP: Take Ablett’s 121
    T/DN: Roll with Griffdog

  13. Boston didn’t reach his breakeven. Going down in price from $96k! Cheapest ever SC player?? If he doesn’t have to start as sub next week, he’ll jump in price…….
