Saturday Night Games – R17, 2013

Written by Motts on July 20 2013

Melbourne v Brisbane (TIO) – Its games like these that only become interesting because you’ve got supercoach players running around for your team (sorry Brods). With both teams out of finals contention for 2013 the blokes we’ll be watching include Terlich, Sylvia, Hanley, and Leueie. Brisbane 25+ for mine.

Saints v Port (Etihad) – If you thought the other game on this evening would prove more entertaining, think again. Start downloading a movie to watch now. SC scores for blokes like McEvoy, Dal, Hartlett and Cornes will be up after the match so why watch it? Saints straight out is my tip but I’ve gone either side 1-39 in a multi.

  1. That’s all us saints supporters ask for is to have a go and that’s what we done in that 3 quarter. A Great quarter of footy.

  2. Apologies for the language but f??k off Pittard. That’s an absolute killer that call. Pirated definitely played that. Momentum shift now. *sigh*

  3. Happy with that effort saints. I’ve seen 3 great matches so far this weekend and hoping tomorrow’s matches are as good. Looking forward to the Rich and Freo match. Stevens is a beauty BigRuss,it was him or Swan to replace Dangerfield and I went Swan, no heart.

  5. Oh the cue stayed in the rack this weekend Mottsy… although the 6 Lions I had playing tonight combined for 632 points… Fair strategy this is turning out to be 😉

Although I could brag about how the Maulers are staring down the barrel of an almighty hiding I’m a little more than skeptical of your POD captaincy choice… But even still Cotchin is in for the mother of all tags tomorrow and Selwood is due for a howler soon… confidence is high in Camp Kelso!

  6. Cracking fight back by the saints but just fall short. As said above some absoulte terrible umpiring in this game!

Also can anyone explain to me the definition of holding the ball?? Lately I have noticed the ups just letting it go when its clealy been dropping it or incorrect disposal???

Think it was Robbie Gray on the wing that was tackled perfectly, holding one arm back, and in the he end just dropped it one handed after being tackled for ages!! NO CALL??!!!! Port then went straight down and kicked a goal. This was in the last few mins.

Good win to port through – they really have been impressive this year.
