Still spewing on last night. Had v on Sams…tossed up Stoinis or Maxy c….you know the rest. Hinchliffe on bench, Ellis on field. Missed nearly 500 pts.
One less day to AFL SC !!
now that’s an interesting topic Wighty! My choices may be seen as a bit controversial, but here’s my take:
For me, on current form, Finch doesn’t make the side. He has flaws in his technique that are exposed, particularly by quick bowling. Neither do current Indian tour batsmen Turner, Handscomb or Manus (but there are a lot of months between now and then!!) So here is my 11 to start (and based on Aussie pitches):
1. Short
2. Stoinis
3. Warner
4. Maxwell
(alternate one of whichever left or right batter is out first)
5. Smith – in case of a massive collapse and playing spin (so too Maxxy and Stoinis)
6. M Marsh
7. Carey
8. Cummins
9. Hazelwood (controversial selection is also, I really rate Laughlin for death overs)
10. Stark
11. Zampa
Side is dependent also on Stoinis & Marsh able to bowl if necessary – but also great options in Maxwell and Short – especially for some cheap overs in first 6.
Zampa can also be replaced by Swepson …
Smith is captain or maybe even Carey …
hmmm late home from work leaving not much time to see BEs etc … dumb of me not to trade Rauf to Richardson for the double header of Perth – lot to be across in this game …
yeah, just didn’t allow myself enough time to see the various options … gotta earn money in my real job I suppose!
Also missed pretty much all of Saturday games taking the missus shopping and then movie / dinner – gotta get those credits in the bank for the real SC … AFL season!!
Who is bringing in ABDv this round ?
Wait to get a look at ABD before bringing him in as he had a 17 hour flight so might be still a touch jet lagged.
Big price
Hurricanes won the bat flip and have elected to bowl first.
Good…v goes on M Marsh.

Have at it all!!
Nice team…lots of options there. Mine is…
Stoinis
Warner
Maxwell
Lynn
Carey
Short
M Marsh
Starc
Cummins
Laughlin
Richardson
Just cant get Smith in. Explosive bats down to No 7 and lots of bowling variety with Short and Maxy to provide spin options.

there is Macca…especially the different times. I finally got a trade right…Ellis to Richardson.
