  1. First time playing BBL , so I’ll need a lot of advice ! Feel like my bench will let me down but they are subject to change pending team announcements.

Bats : Curran, khawaja, Lynn, Banton, Morris ( Harris, Davies)

    Wickets: Philippe (Carey)

Bowl: khan, Kelly, Q.Ahmad, Laughlin, Henriques (Sutherland, Green)

    1. Nicely balanced team, Damien

9xDGW players to kick off R1 is great!

Fingers crossed Morris & Curran make it from the start of the BBL

  2. My side is as follows;

Batsman; Khawaja,Lynn,Finch,Vince and Banton. (Green and Davies)

    Wicket Keeper; Philippe (Doran)

Bowlers; Curran,Abbott,O’Keefe,Morris and Livingstone. (Fraser McGurk and Ellis)

Currently have 8.5k in the bank.

    Cheers Jono

    1. Again very solid with 9 DGW player’s R1, Jono

Only concern would be keeping one eye on the MSL, Vince / Morris & Curran all 50/50 for R1 game 1 from all reports pending final ladder standings!

McGurk playing a U19’s tournament so won’t play much or any BBL & Davies pending Thunder top order performing may struggle for consistent or much game time!

                1. Motts should have a Join My SC BBL League thread up in the morning so people can join or fill Leagues.

Hearing the newly released SuperCoachtalk #7 League Code will be in the post.

        1. Hey Jono,

I’d hate for you to restructure your team, for those 3 to be ready R1 game 1!

Watch & act at this stage IMO

Henriques priced really well, flexibility & in great form currently. Stonis can be bought later IMO, although out of the 2 more expensive players he has 2 x DGW’s in his first 7 games …. if he’s available pending national selection!

Liking Khan( Heat ) for Curran, giving you a bit more $$$$ to upgrade or change Vince to a Bryant/Hughes type, Davies to M Harris on your bench & Morris for a Jordan type setting up for R3 DGW

          1. So what should I do if Curran,Vince and Morris are unavailabile for rd1… should I plan for rd3 with getting Jordan and Khan. I’ve got 131k to spend on a batsman any ideas? Also I’ll swap Davies for Harris… any other changes for my team.

            1. Hey Jono,

If you’re picking up Jordan that’s towards R3, with Khan I meant Z Khan from heat as said above so DGW R1. With the $131k pending your starting on field team, If it’s for a bench spot Salt ( Strikers ) $125k, if for on field Bryant $129k & Henriques only $101k & again in great form as I said yesterday & timely belting another 116 today

  3. Another recommendation for newcomers or experienced coaches is to have several different structures to be able to implement for RD1 dependent on selections due to the unlikelihood of multiple basement rookies being selected.

  4. Pretty set but depends on the availability of Morris, Curran and Vince meaning everything could change!

    BAT
Khawaja, Lynn, Vince, Bryant, Bantom (Harris, Green)

    WKP
    Phillepe (Nielson)

    BWL
Curran, O’keefe, Sams, Morris, Laughlin (Wes Agar, N.Ellis)

Early trade plans would include Heat/Thunder players to Strikers/Scorchers players after rounds 1 and 2.

    Thoughts appreciated!

  5. Thoughts on my team? Never played BBL SC before but have been doing my research on value buys

BAT: S Marsh, Vince, Ferguson, Bryant, Banton (Harris, Jewell)

    WKP: Philippe (Pierson)

BWL: Short, Curran, Abbott, Morris, Laughlin (Sutherland, Green)

Backup plan if Morris/Curran/Vince are all out is the following

    Curran -> Z Khan

    Vince -> Hughes

    Morris -> O’Keefe

  6. Hard to fault, Bethany_B

The one change I’d recommend is Ellis from Hurricanes, straight swap for Sutherland who’ll hardy get games / consistent games anyhow!

Like the back up plan too 🙂

  7. First time I’ve posted on the BBL threads. I am usually alright at BBL supercoach but don’t have the same interest as I do for the AFL supercoach.

Anyway, as always feedback is appreciated.

BATS: Lynn, Vince, Hales, Blanton, Henriques (White, J Edwards)

    KEEPER: Philippe (Pierson)

BOWLERS: Short, Curran, Ur Rahman, Morris, Laughlin (Sutherland, Conway)

      1. Great team, like it a lot Hynsi

Only suggestion would be to replace Sutherland with N Ellis ( Hurricanes) will definitely make you $$$

  8. Batter Khawaja Lynn banton Hughes Harris Green Jewell
    Keeper Phillipe Pierson
Bowlers short Stoinis Curran henriques Laughlin agar Sutherland

    1. Apologies Bailey,

Rereading my answer, after getting a phone call I’ve written Henriques as batter 5 knowing he’s in your bowling attack

I meant to write A Agar ( Perth ) as he’s a dpp & be used with Henriques to swap around with others. DGW R3 setting you up for more that round with Strikers/6’s & Scorchers players

  9. Hey Bailey,

Good solid team but 8 x DGW players needs to be elevated to 9-10 IMHO! A fast start is imperative to doing well in the first 3 rounds, preparing for R4-5 throughout that period

Either Short / Stonis to Sams ( DGW Thunder )
Laughlin to Z Khan ( Heat ) better option long term
Agar / Ellis ( Hurricanes) cash cow #1
Harris to replace Jewel on the bench ( opener )
Henriques for Batter 5 ( dpp & in form )

Not sure about your current bank, but I think that should work out on the $$$$$ front

Also keep an eye on Curren’s availability due to the MSL T20 competition finals being confirmed Wednesday/ Thursday this week

    Cheers Catta

    Batsmen =
De Villers, Hales, Morris, Philippe, Henriques….. Jewell and Harris

    Keepers =
    Banton…… Peirson

    Bowlers =
Curran, Abbott, Sams, Ur Rahman, Laughlin……. Rose and Milenko

    1. Hey Haydos

Looks a great team, keep an eye on the MSL for players like Morris & Curran especially!

Ur Rahman doesn’t start until R9, straight swap for Z Khan ( DGW R1 ) & downgrade Rose/Milenko to N Ellis on the bench as hesprobarly #1 cash cow in 2019/20

      Cheers Catta

        1. Alright awesome, thoughts on a replacement for de Villiers?
The closest with DGW for r1 would be Khawaja or cutting… or should I have 1 player that isn’t playing twice r1 setting up future rounds better?

          1

          1. If you’ve already got 10 DGW players, you can select anyone you can afford, I do like to start setting up a little for R3 DGW too!

Plenty of options to choose Haydos

    2. An option could be
Out: De Villiers, M Ur Rahman, C Rose, S Milenko
      In: U Khawaja, Q Ahmad, B Stanlake, C Green,

  11. First season of the Bash. Second draft of my BBL SC Team… pending availability of course.

BAT: Curran (C), Lynn, Sams, Banton, Henriques (Jewell, Harris)

    WKT: Philippe (Carey)

BWL: Cutting, Z Khan, Q Ahmad, Morris, F Ahmed (Green, Ellis)

    Subs
    Curran – Khawaja
    Morris – Livingston/Agar

Appreciate insight from more experienced coaches in the format.

    1. Great lineup.

An option could be B Cutting to U Khawaja dependent on your remaining funds and if you have insufficient then it can be funded by trading F Ahmed to B Laughlin/ F Ashraf or Z Khan to B Laughlin allowing F Ahmed or N Ellis to be upgraded.

  12. This may well be what I go with….

Curran, Khawaja, Sams, Ferguson, Christian (Sangha/Davies)

    Philippe (Peirson)

Cutting, Green, Tremain, Dwarshuis, Henriqes (Sutherland/C Green perth)

Think thats ten DGW’s Curran or Henriques c.

    1. Hey Wighty,

Solid team with plenty of DGW players in R1

I’d personally swap Sangah for M Harris ( opener ) Davies will be at an U19 tournament I’m pretty sure so drop him & pop C Green on the batter bench & grab N Ellis ( Hurricanes) for the bowlers bench!

      Cheers Catta

    2. Good pod in Christian but would look to enhance your bench and bowling lineup.

      An option could be:
      Out: B Cutting, W Sutherland, B Dwarshuis, O Davies, J Sangha
      In: B Laughlin, F Ashraf/ T Banton, B Stanlake, M Harris, C Jewell

    1. Yes. Very similar game style to B Cutting who I’m also avoiding due to their tendencies to register a high economy rate and dependence on a quick fire innings to register sufficient points.

If C Morris misses their 1st game I might contemplate grabbing D Sams but currently it is unlikely that he forces his way into my side.

  13. Made a few revisions to my side, thoughts?

BAT: Khawaja, SMarsh, Ferguson, Banton, Morris (Jewell, Harris)
    WKP: Philippe (Carey)
BWL: Curran, Abbott, Z Khan, Laughlin, Henriques (Ellis, Scorchers Green)

Backups for Curran and Morris would be Christian and Hughes/Bryant

Decided to drop Short, Vince and Bryant for Khawaja, Z Khan and Henriques, then used the money to upgrade Pierson to Carey so that I have 3 good keeper options.

    1

    0
    1. Carey is not just a good 3rd keeper option, but you have Carey in the team ready for the Strikers Round 3 DGW.

    1. Not 100% on him this season Jono

Talk of him bowling less but potentially batting a little higher, think he’s $30k overpriced IMHO

Several in that $170- $200k range to select this season

  14. A few changes….

Curran, Khawaja, Sams, S Marsh, Ferguson (Harris C Green)

    Philippe (Pierson)

Christian, C Green, Tremain, Dwarshuis Henriques (Fraser Mcgurk, Sutherland

Reckon thats 9 dwg R1, all available r2 of course, and only peirson not available r3. Will look to trade over rds 2/3 to increase dwg for the huge r3….looks like 3 teams with dwg that round if I am not mistaken.

    1. Hey Wighty,

Looks great, theres only one glaring change IMO

McGurk at an U19 tournament, may play 2nd 1/2 of the BBL

McGurk out / N Ellis ( Hurricanes) in #1 cash cow IMHO

      1. Yeah…McG is really only a hole filler at the moment…waiting on team selections, but I’m hearing good things about this Ellis.

  15. New to BBL SuperCoach, played the NRL version for many years.
    Thoughts on this side…
Khawaja, Lynn, Vince, Ferguson, Banton (Harris, Green)
    Philippe, (Carey)
Curran, Sams, Z Khan, Morris, Henriques (Sutherland, Ellis)

    2

    1. A recommendation could be to attempt a side that isn’t dependent on 3 basement rookies and the 11 DGW players but hard to fault the majority of the on-field selections.

  16. Please, any feedback would be appreciated!
Batters: Lynn, Vince, Ferguson, Hales, Philippe, Dunk/Jewell (bench), Harris (bench)

Bowlers: Curran/Abbott, Steyn, Green (THU), Morris/Jordan, Laughlin, Green (SCO)(bench), Ellis (bench)

  17. Hi everyone, would love some feedback on my team:
Batters: Khawaja, Lynn, S Marsh, Henriques, Banton, Bench (Harris, Green (Perth)

    Keepers: Philippe (Peirson – Bench)

Bowlers: Curren, Khan (Heat), Sams, Livingston, Laughlin, Bench (Ellis)

I need one more bench spot for the bowlers. I have $140,800 in the bank

  18. I would bring in Wes Agar 84k , Livingstone 125k or Ashton Agar 133k to put on the bench ready for The Strikers or Scorchers Round 3 DGW.

  19. Final team pending teamlists for me, thoughts?

BAT: Khawaja(vc), S Marsh, Ferguson, Banton, D Hughes (Pierson, M Harris)

    WKP: Philippe (Carey)

BWL: Curran (c), Abbott, Z Khan, Laughlin, Henriques (Green, Ellis)
