  1. Mid pricers galore in my line up:

    Ellis, Colquhoun, Grimes
    Pendles, Swan, Murphy, Sewell
    Mumford
    Pavlich, Chapman, Rohan

Any suggestions?? would be much appreciated 🙂

  2. Gibbs, Colqhoun, Duigan (if in final 4 on i/c – currently extended bench)
Pendles (C), Selwood (VC), Hodge, Murphy
    Roughy
    Chappy, Didak, Rohan

A solid team that would be relying on a bit of luck from returning old stars such as Chappy and Didak & future stars in Rohan & Colqhoun. What you all reckon? Any proposals for changes as i only did this team tonight.

  4. This is my team at the moment, will still play around with it a bit before first lockout….

    Sandilands
    Chapman, Didak, Rohan

  5. Birchall, Richards, Colquhoun
    Swan, S.Johnson, K.Jack, Murphy
    Grundy
    Chapman, Stewart, Rohan

Stewart and Rohan are both sub possibilities.. my only concern. Richards is a solid, gets it done type of scorer. im happy with that for now.

  6. Ellis, Richards, Colquhoun
    Pendlebury(C), Selwood (V), Beams, Anderson.
    Sandilands
    Pavlich, Chapman, Rohan.

Just need to make sure Anderson isn’t in the vest.

  7. Have changed the team a hundred times, will probably change again before kick off tonight. As it stands right now:

    Richards, Colquhoun, Grimes
    Swan, Selwood, K.Cornes, Burgoyne
    Grundy
    Bartel, Chapman, Rohan

Still not 100% with Selwood, the Crowley tag might swing my way of thinking. Trying to stick with some experienced campaigners in the midfield. I’ll figure it out soon enough;-)

  8. Mackie, T. Richards, Grimes
    Pendlebury, Bartel, Hodge, B, Kennedy
    Sandilands
    Stokes, Rioli, Didak.

Will need to make a couple of adjustments as Kennedy is out for the Pies and Rioli is a question mark. Wanted Selwood but scared off with the prospect of Creepy Crowley running with him.
Any suggestions for Kennedy and Rioli would be greatly appreciated.

    Chapman, Didak, Rohan

  10. So a guy that has had zero attention and is coming off a SC hundred is Aaron Young from Port.

Has played three games (one a sub) and scored 63, 30 (green vest) and 104. Priced at $190,400.

I can’t for the life of me recall ever having seen him play (he also played 12 games last season).

People’s thoughts in relation to Didak, Menzel and Rohan? He is the only sub-$200k forward to have a SC ton this year and the other upside is nobody is picking him.

Vest chance maybe? I’m actually hoping so, as I’d like to see Colquhoun avoid it so he can run around for my side on the weekend.

Could be a very interesting PoD if he does avoid the vest though.

  11. Richards, Yarran, Grimes
Pendles, JPK, K Simpson, M Murphy
    Mumford
    Bartel, Didak, Rohan

Pendles was the only lock for me, after that i picked the Midfield based on opposition – JPK loves playing his old club and both Simpson and Murphy have been awesome against the Tigers for last few years.

  12. ellis, colquhoun, grimes
    pendle, selwood, bartel, murphy
    sandilands
    johnson, didak, rohan

obviously bulked up midfield at the expense of the other positions- thoughts?

  13. Just went bonkers and changed my entire squad with the exception of Pendles. Taking a massive gamble, but I think that I can do that given it isn’t the official supercoach season. My gamble is picking leadership types. Here goes nothing. Now before all the thumbs downs come, there are reasons behind my madness which I will include beside each one.

DEF – T.Richards (coming off 114 & 99/finals vet), N.Maxwell (5y ave. 91 against port, 83 in finals, capt of pies), N.Duigan (cheapest DEF that will get a game, in leadership group)

MID – Pendles (captain in waiting, most reliable player in the game), J.McVeigh (3y ave. 108 in finals, capt of Syd), L.Hodge (when fit, is a weapon come the crunch, capt of Hawks), M.Murphy (undervalued, capt of Carl)

RUCK – A.Sandilands (undervalued, VC of Freo, no competition from Geelong ruck)

FWD – M.Pavlich (undervalued, can go large, capt of freo), P.Chapman (undervalued, big stage perfromer), A.Didak (cheap show off, has shown he can score with the vest, if he starts with it i’ll switch to A.Young)

  14. First attempt for this seasons finals. Trying a balanced team to help with trading the way through based on the teams I think will be eliminated and have byes etc. Feedback please:

    Mackie, Burgoyne, Ellis
Swan (C), JPK (VC), Murphy, Sewell
    Sandi
    Cappy, Didak, Rohan

  15. Some great logic there. Captains certainly earn their money in the finals. On a similar chain of thought, Port’s captain Boak could go very big & Newman (ex C) should have a big one in his first (and maybe last) final appearance.

  16. My team at the moment
    Enright, Birchall, Colquhoun
Pendlebury (captain), Bartel (vice-captain), Chapman, Ellard
    Sandilands
Stokes or J Lewis, Pavlich, Didak
    Thumbs up: Good/Great team
    Thumbs down: Crap

  18. Currently in Korea so won’t be able to follow too closely this weekend.

What do you think as it stands?

  19. Mackie, Ellis, Colquhoun
    Swan, JPK, Hodge, McLean
    Sandilands
    Roughead, Didak, Rohan

I think McLean and Mackie are really well priced for what they can produce and are good PODs. Kennedy always seems to lift when playing against his old side.

  20. What do you think about starting with JPK and keeping some money as he always goes really well against the hawks and then trading him to barlow/selwood (whoever loses) next week. Also who would you put VC?
    T/U Stevie J
    T/D JPK

  21. Well boys being not the real deal my team is slightly weighted to a particular team.
(Wonder who that is) but reads as follows.

    Chaplin, Stratton, Grimes.

    Pendles,C Hodge VC, Chapman, Sewell,

    Mummy,

Jordan Lewis, Rioli, Rohan. Rioli does not come up reckon Steven Motlop get the run or Jack Gunston with no Buddy

Backs very dicey, but would have to say the have been a nightmare all year so worth a gamble on some cheaper mid range options in this game.

  23. Ellis, T. Richards, Colquhoun
Swan, Pendlebury, Sewell, Josh p. Kennedy
    Grundy
    D. Martin, Didak, Rohan

Farley confident with this team, Kennedy has a great record in finals. Any possible changes I can make. Only disconcern is Didak and Rohan for the green vest
