Hope you all enjoyed the Defenders post released yesterday. Lets now turn our attention to the big men of the game.
Shane Mumford ($380,300; 3 Rd Ave: 117.3, 5 Rd Ave: 115.2) What a revelation this man has been since R18, scoring 123, 113, 111, 102, 91 and 159! Is he back to the Mummy of old we last saw in 2011? His confidence will be sky high facing the Hawks again this week.
Zac Clarke ($482,200; 123.3, 104.0) Before being rested this week, did anyone notice Zac Clarke pump out consecutive scores of 120, 116 and 134 in the first 3 weeks of Finals? Probably not, but now you’re aware, you can put him on your radar. Scored 97 against Geelong back in R14.
Matthew Lobbe ($363,300; 103.3, 109.6) Owned by only 0.86% of players at the conclusion of the regular form of the game, Lobbe has averaged 116 in his last 4 matches and would represent outstanding value if he could deliver another big score against the Pies this week.
Aaron Sandilands ($266,400) Sandi’s season has been one to forget. Sitting out the first 14 rounds, 211 returned to play two games before being rested in R17 and subbed out in R21 with concussion and a cheekbone injury. Here’s an ugly stat for you: in the 9 games Sandilands has played a part in this season, he’s amassed a total of 7 kicks! Will still be a popular selection nonetheless, on pure potential to score massively when he’s on his game.
The Loose Change Menu:
Brodie Grundy ($271,200) Seems to have cemented the #1 ruck duties ahead of the more experienced Jolly and Hudson, and with good reason too. The kid is a gun and will be one of the elite ruckmen in the competition sooner rather than later. Good for a score in the 60-80 range.
