  1. Relton Roberts award goes to Sam Kerridge, owned by 13,568 grumpy SC coaches. Sam got a gig in R3 for the Crows and managed to score a massive 5 points, he hasn’t been 🙄 since, well done Sammy.

  2. I think Sam Shaw was unlucky not to get a mention… though I may not have him in my top 3, I thought he was exceptional when on the park.

  3. My top 3:

    Bronze – Toby Greene

    – He has played in 17 of GWS’s 20 games this season, including playing from round 1, something that is vital to a SuperCoach coach.
    – He has averaged an amazingly high 94 average over the course of the season, including 113.8 in the last five at the business end of the season.
    – He has five 100’s and three scores of 120+.
    – More than 75% of his scores are in excess of 80, which is wonderful consistency for a rookie.

    Silver – Dayne Zorko

    – Has a great average of 96.
    – Has pumped out 8 100’s (and a 99), which is 57% of his games played.
    – Excluding his sub-effected game, he only has one score below 80.
    – The knock on him though is that he didn’t start from round 1, meaning he has only played 14 of a possible 20 games.
    – He has two scores of over 120, with 137 being his season high.

    Gold – Jonathan Giles

    – He has averaged 93 for the season, playing in 18 of a possible 20 games.
    – He was there from the start, allowing you to start with a rookie ruck on the park with confidence
    – He has seven scores over 100, with three scores of 120+. Those scores are 134, 142 and an outstanding 177.
    – He has averaged 112.8 in the last three and 133.7 in the last five, wonderful if you have kept him for SuperCoach finals footy (compared to Zorko’s 89.7 in the last three and 96.6 in the last five)
    – He has scored the seventh most of ANY pure ruck in the competition. Cox, Maric, Naitanui, Jacobs, Minson and Goldstein are the only rucks (excluding R/F’s Roughead and Hale) that have outscored him. This makes him a better pick than the likes of Kreuzer, Ryder, Jolly, McEvoy, Mumford, Sandilands and McIntosh.
    – To me, the clear winner.

  4. This is on a slightly different note, but I would love to see who people think is/will be the better player:

    T/U – David Swallow
    T/D – Harley Bennell

  5. I’d just like to add that the SCROTY is one award that I’m not so sure I’d like to win. Can only imagine what the trophy would look like and wouldn’t be real keen on hanging it from the mantle.

  6. Surely Smedts has to be up there for the Relton Award.
He was in and out of the team which prevented people from trading him as an error. But then he would spit out 15 points and make it all a waste. He took 14 rounds to get to $200k, in that time you could’ve offloaded Treloar for nearly double that instead. I’m glad I didn’t start with him.

  7. Although he fell away badly, I needed Horesly at the time, and he pulled through. And meant we all could upgrade to our better teams

  8. Giles, Treloar, Zorko, Greene have alll been super. I wanted to give special mention to Morris. While his scores have not been spectacular he has been really reliable and played every game. It was nice to have D8 filled and not have to worry about him being rested unlike some GWS boys.
