Some big scores from our Big 8. All results going as expected apart from AGB pulling out a massive score to take a lead over Danger Bont into H2H2. There’s a lot of injuries out of the weekend with all teams having Sicily, many having Gray and a few Nic Nats as well. A number of coaches have injured rookies clogging their benches as well. Thought I’d present the info a little differently this week and I’ve broken the scores down into categories. I’ve also included a little injury report.

Down by 94 points after pulling out 2.5K is pretty stiff for Buncha but that’s how well Nateo’s team is going and why he’s 16th overall. Every chance to do the double and win the SCT Group and win the SCT Cup. Can’t see Buncha coming back from here with Nic Nat and quite likely Gray to sort out, although Nateo has Gray as well. Nateo has S Martin at R2 so Buncha really has to go a POD with his Nic Nat replacement. Grundy and Goldy stand out but they play each other this weekend. A left of centre R2 maybe?? Either way, barring a catastrophe it’s Nateo into the SF from here.

Two cracking scores here as well. Danger Bont is stiff to have scored so well, sit 49th overall and be staring at a deficit going into H2H2. Both teams have Sicily and likely Gray to deal with. That’ll really test their benches and trades. It’d be a massive turn up for Danger Bont to miss the semis but AGB is in a super strong position from

Monster score by Kyuubi who is now up to 7th in the SCT group. Similar to 1 vs 8, in 3 vs 6 we’ve got Nic Nat’s injury as a talking point. Same as what my advice for Buncha was, Shaggi simply can’t go to Stef at R2 as that’s matching Kyuubi’s rucks, a POD is required. Grundy or Goldy seem the most likely to punch out a 120+. Kyuubi will likely to have to deal with Gray’s absence.

Both coaches don’t have Danger which hurt them this round when he went massive. They both also have a fresh injury concern with JPK and Gray respectively that they may have to cover this weekend. For Trudge his lack of depth is starting to get concerning with 5 non-players. Hope he has a trade or two to use if required across the weekend. Allsaints score was impacted when chose to not go with Maxy’s 131 and instead went for Grundy who responded with a 99. Bird in the hand.

  1. Awesome write up again mate!!
Some amazing scores from our other coaches.
Last week for me was: Bont/Fyfe to Oliver/Dusty… I have a feeling Dusty is building and couldn’t overlook at that price
(I’d put Luke Shuey in the same category)

Should be another good battle with Allsaints this week, no surprises with trades for me, likely fix for Sicily will be Lloyd, and like most Macrae will get a look in either this week or next depending on team selection/JPK, Both are clearly not POD types but look like must have additions…
    Good Luck all.

    1. brilliant RB, as per …
Good luck FootyFan. No trades for me this week as I only have two left and have half-decent loophole cover for Sicily (and to a lesser extent Gray). All four benchers have posted a 90+ each in the last fortnight, so here’s hoping a couple of them can do it again.
I might add you as a ‘rival’ so I can keep track over the weekend.
Though my chances are slim … anything is possible 😉

Good luck all and thanks again RB for all your time and effort!

          1. Haha …. you pay me Robbo’s wage and i’ll do it Buncha!!!

Seriously though, SC needs to run an eliminator comp. Winner gets 5K or something. Similar to the way this comp runs but just one off H2Hs, winner goes through. Would be a much better addition that the stupid Perfect 9 gimmick IMO.

    1. Great score, Neteo! On fire

      Oh Nic Nat …
      – now I think RB is on the money.
I need a POD, but who?

      Looking forward to round 2!
