SCT Leagues Update

by Motts on July 23, 2012

Haven’t provided an update on the SCT Leagues for awhile so here we go. Lets kick it off with the LoEC leagues:

LoEC1 is having a great year, coming 71st in the nation. Leading by example are Don Cottagers, Fishtopher and Roo Bloke – great work, fellas.

LoEC2 isn’t doing quite as well but is still well within the top 1% of all leagues. Top of the tree here are the Bearded Burblers, JC and Catta.

Moving on to the SCTTL leagues now:

In SCTTL1, Kaz continues to dominate closely followed by Hugh G. and yours truly

In SCTTL2, Shaw Bet, Jesters Crew and Collingood are leading the race. Congrats must go to Matthew, the coach of Shaw Bet, he has the highest average of all the leagues that I manage.

SCTTL3 has Ollie atop the pile with The Tech Maulers in 2nd and Scatts in third.

While in SCTTL4, the highest ranked of the SCTTL leagues that I manage, Sensei Pabs is showing a clean pair of heels to David Johnson (who apparently doesn’t quite rule) who is in turn in front of Sarah’s Goofballs.

Deano has now sent me results for SCTTL5 but as usual I’ve found it impossible to get his table into this post so here’s the details:

League Average*: 2,011

League Ranking*: 730

* Keeping in mind there were 3 teams entered at the beginning of the season that did not conform to SCTTL rules.

The top 3 teams are:

SCTTLSIMMO coached by Simmo with 36,181 total points and an average of 2,128.29

Deano’s Bazoongas coached by “Jo”, 35,830, 2,107.65

Bluez Cluez coached by JMC, 35,675, 2098.53

So to clear up what’s happening from here, obviously you will all be competing in the SC Finals as per the usual system but for the Top 8 teams across all five leagues we will also be running an offline Finals series (which is probably going to be a pain in the neck to manage but its our first year doing it so we’ll give it a go).

The Top 8 table looks like this right now (I’ve also shown the teams battling to make it in):

Rank Team Coach Score Average League
1 Shaw Bet Matthew  36,310  2,135.88 SCTTL2
2 SCTTLSIMMO Simmo  36,181  2,128.29 SCTTL5
3 Sensei Pabs Paul  36,167  2,127.47 SCTTL4
4 DavidJohnsonRules David  35,990  2,117.06 SCTTL4
5 Goofballs Sarah  35,976  2,116.24 SCTTL4
6 dragenbladeSCTTL Paul  35,844  2,108.47 SCTTL4
7 Deano’s Bazoongas Jo  35,830  2,107.65 SCTTL5
8 howmuchcanjudcarry Kaz  35,788  2,105.18 SCTTL1
9 Jesters Crew Jester  35,736  2,101.12 SCTTL2
10 Bluez Cluez JMC  35,675  2,098.53 SCTTL5
11 Hugh G. Rexion Johnno  35,605  2,094.41 SCTTL1

Hey motts, not that I’m that highly ranked but any ‘finals’ happening for supercoachtalk1?

Nothing planned other than the usual intra-league finals system, Matty.

Sorry fellas but I’m going to barrack for Shaw Bet.
In terms of games won, in our league we’re sharing top spot and a game clear, so I’m being a good sport! -may the best man win.
(yes I know it’s “total points” before someone points that out but I have been very happy with my team so far). I thought it would be too hard to keep track of but it’s been quite fun. Thx to all involved!

Great effort Motts, it takes a lot of hard work to not only set this up but to keep us informed across the different leagues

Well done SCT crew!

Seems like all the experts are on this page, so hopefully i can get some advice please. I am looking to upgrade Giles this week. Tossing up between Nic Nat and McEvoy. Already have Cox, so would it be a good option to have the dual eagles ruckmen in? Eagles 4 out of 6 at Patersons, but the Supercoach G/F at the G vs Hawks. McEvoy 4 out of 6 at Etihad, Supercoach G/F vs Carlton. Leaning towards McEvoy.

I am away this week and will not have internet access, so need to take a punt today and make my choice. Will have 2 trades and 150k after this, sitting in top 4 comfortably. Will only need to use those 2 trades for LTI or to upgrade Ellis during finals to make a full team.

Thumbs up – NicNat

Thumbs up – McEvoy

Appreciate any thoughts or comments

Cheers

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 5 Thumb down 5

Both above are good options. If same price, Nic Nat for me as greater ability to go huge.

Dude seriously just flip a coin, either will strengthen your team you can’t go wrong with either of them. I voted for McEvoy, got him in a couple weeks ago because he is the lone ruckmen and essentially the only tall at St Kilda. Plus he has Melbourne and GWS in the finals, while West Coast have some hard games.

Some great scores and averages here. You gotta feel for Deano though. A nice average but 8 points for the season?! Shocking luck mate!

I joined this site only a little while ago, so I didn’t know that we had our own leagues. Would really love to be part of something like this next year!

As this is kind of relevant….

Anyone who does Premier League Fantasy Football, I have done a SCT league (Head-2-Head, starts Week 3). To join, the code is:

Hmmm might have to sign up for next year, some really good scores in their makes my 35,580 look pretty average, but would be probably in Top 8 most leagues.

Great work Mottsy! Been loving playing in LoeC2 and SCTTL this season. Such tough comps and every week having great head to head matches. Always go down to the wire and makes you appreacite every win you can get! which havent been that many this year!
