Now that the preseason comp is over, its time to run through the Technical League competition rules, team and leagues.
SCTTL was a competition we kicked off last year that involved every team in a league starting with exactly the same squad. Last year we voted on it, this year I’ve put it together myself – you can see it below. The winner will be the person that gets the most out of/makes the best changes to that squad.
In addition to the intra-League Finals, I’ll also put together an INTER-League Finals system which means you could be playing someone from another League. The end result is, we’ll have a winner who did the best with this team across multiple leagues.
The Rules
1. You MUST start with the team below – please don’t join one of these leagues with anything other than this team. We will name and shame you on the site and a season is a hell of a long time to spend with a group of people who think you are a total muppet.
2. You cannot make any trades until the completion of all games in Round 1. Captaincy, vice captaincy and subs in Round 1 are all up to you though. After that you’re on your own – make changes as you see fit.
That’s about it for the rules. If there’s anything you have a query about please ask it in Comments below and either I or one of the teams that participated last year will get back to you.

That’s right – its Midpricer mayhem! To win the comp this year, you’re going to have to be very, very good. To begin with, you’ll have $382,400 in the bank to play with.
Leagues
Initially, I’ve set up 4 Leagues. If these fill up, we’ll open more (you ok to help out again this year, Deano?) so you’re not going to miss out. Please ONLY JOIN ONE LEAGUE. I’ve had lots of people express interest in SCTTL 2013 so spots are going to be limited. You will get deleted from Leagues if you enter more than one.
The initial League Codes are:
SCTTL 1 – FULL
SCTTL 2 – FULL
SCTTL 3 – FULL
SCTTL 4 – FULL
SCTTL 5 – 281517
Everyone who played last year will no doubt be getting on board again but anyone new who wants to give it a go is also most welcome to join. Good luck!!

You sneaky sneaky dawggg Motts, wouldn’t beat GWS but I love it. With 30 trades available this year it’s definitely possible to end up with a stellar team by Round 23!

Jumped in SCTTL 1. Figured I do enough lurking around here to justify getting involved and spending some time on a team.
This concept looked like fun last year and i love the look of the mid price starting team. It should create a lot more variety in teams throughout.

How long did it take you to pick this team Motts?
Just getting some clarification here, I noticed you havent selected emergencies and we are able to select our own subs for round 1, Is it the starting 22 stated above that we have to deal with or can we mix and match the 30?
Yay, my 5 year old daughter just took 14th spot in SCTTL 2, so nice of her to name her team after me.
Great concept, loved it last year, interesting line up… Bring it on!

This is a great starting side. Lots of middle priced players that you could go up or down on.
No clear lock, not too many rookies to enjoy the cash. Some injury concerns, some coming back from lti.
We will all have to work hard on this.
Love the fact that none of the top 10 are in there.

Matthew Leuenberger played in the reserves today, dominating all facets and is over the back stiffness and calf complaints that caused him to miss two NAB Cup games. He is right back in contention for round 1!

Has anyone hosted there draft yet? I’m hosting mine on Thursday and my question is.. How do I select the order in which each player has their initial pick? I cannot find an option for this as yet, but want to pull numbered balls out of a hat to correspond with horses in a race just before draft to decide positions.
Anyone know?

I accidentally added my team to it, but have removed it. Anyway my girlfriend has decided not to partake in the SCTTL this year, so now I can concentrate on my own team.
Motts all I can say is wow. I wasn’t gonna do scttl this year just due to not having time. My first though when I looked at your team was What The $&@$! But the longer I looked the more I like it. I’m locked and loaded into league 4. Great job!
