SCTalk Leagues 1 & 2 – R10 Update

by Duck on May 31, 2010

Well will still here and we’ve asked the powers to be to let us continue on without breaching their copyright ….. while we wait to hear back it’s business as usual!

Here’s this weeks wrap from the leagues we have running.

It doesn’t get much closer than the run between Jamie and Henry with only the smallest or percentages separating them.

Hashim has the jump by 1 clear game in SCTalk but anything can happen as a lot of us found out last week with 0’s all over the place.

How’s business in the LOEC and girls comps Motts?

Well Duck, I’m glad you asked.

To borrow from the club song: we’re a happy league at LoEC. Our average score per round is 2142 which places us 79th on the site. Humming along I think you’ll admit. The chief reason for that is Stevo who, with his team Jetz, is placed 624th out of almost 375,000 teams. Wow! With an average of 2250 a week he hasn’t lost yet and sits atop the ladder 2 games clear of Bobcat, Matt & Daniel.

Four coaches are still beneath a 2100 average. I don’t want to mention any names but tappy, Grimmo, Brett and Darren, you fellas know who you are.

Personally I had a reasonable round. Wins in 3 leagues including a 200 point thumping of Brad’s Sneaky Russians who found himself carrying too many passengers. My average is now 2161 and I’m in the Top 8 but only just.

motts, my ave is 2200 just a bit better, the question is do u consider yourself, and should i consider myself to be still in the running for the overall when the leaders have current averages around 2350

Just out of curiosity, in DT, I am 2,113th. 1,125 behind 1st and wonder if it is also a bridge too far??

Stevo May 31, 2010 at 9:42 pm

I have surprised myself with the current ranking, hoping to remain inside the 1000 by seasons end, a lot of football still to be played though…
I must give a shout out to all the contributors here at SCT, especially pre season as it was of great benefit to the my initial team to start of with, helps having that sounding board when making the big decisions!

ssss June 1, 2010 at 10:54 am

Paul Aufiero June 1, 2010 at 5:36 pm

NORTH Melbourne vice-captain Drew Petrie is set to miss up to six weeks with another foot fracture.

ssss June 1, 2010 at 5:42 pm

source???

Paul Aufiero June 1, 2010 at 5:44 pm

AFL website, why would I lie ?

ssss June 1, 2010 at 5:46 pm

just saw PA i think the good opion would be to keep him and play Jaensch if he plays or bring tippet in as a bench ruck and sub them around

Paul Aufiero June 1, 2010 at 5:56 pm

Just trade him out 4s, bring in Goodes or Kepler’s Vessel as Deano has suggested.

Brad June 1, 2010 at 11:02 pm

Why would you want to keep a guy with 2 broken feet?

Motts June 1, 2010 at 11:10 am

I knew the Tigers were desperate but I didn’t think they’d be de-mothballing Hungry this soon.

who would be better to trade in ROK or goodes looking to trade out barry hall

Reply

Deano June 1, 2010 at 11:10 pm

Goodes for me as ROK is playing like the prima-dona of ‘08 before they tried to trade him. Goodes at least has entrenched pride in individual and team outcomes whereas ROK is playing like he’s marking time eg: he is being outplayed and Roos is promoting Huckleberry Finn to the midfield role he used to play.
