SCTalk Leagues – R11 Update

Written by Motts on June 7 2010

Well i’m having a shocker in these leagues …. doing marginally better in the social one with my buddies so that’s one positive.

It might be time to start spending some of the $$ i have and using some of the 16 trades i have remaining.

Anyhoo … on with this weeks update.

Jamie has SCTalk1 by the scruff of the neck, my Mighty Ducks aren’t looking so mighty.

Hashim’s still the man to catch in SCTalk 2 …. nice work coach.

Motts, what say you ??

  1. Great work as usual, Duck. And for what its worth I’d hold off on making any trades until at least R14 (ie the week after I play you).

Over at LoEC we had a pretty big week. The lowest score for the rounds was Brad’s 2,092. The highest was Matt’s 2,523 (!). Magnificent job, Matty. You sure have the Bendin Yousova’s ticking along quite nicely right now.

The big news of the week was a loss for league leader and previously undefeated coach, stevo, who found after posting “Next…” in Psyche Out last week that pride does indeed come before a fall. He went down by 8 measly points to second placed Daniel with his team Jackben (2,349 – 2,341).

Heartbreak story of the round goes to Bobcat who scored a whopping 2,405 only to be taken down by The Mrs coached by Darren who scored 2,463. As I remarked in Psyche Out, its not the first time Bob has been flogged by the missus.

I just got over Bob, scoring 2,406. Jarrad Waite who I traded in last week did a super job scoring 123 and I was real happy with Gysberts in his second game as well. Others in the team that deserve a big thank you were Goddard, Cooney, Didak, Hodge, Waters, Selwood, Barlow and Levi Greenwood (even though I couldn’t find a spot for him in my midfield).

We held steady at 79th in the comp. Our average per round is now 2,159.

  2. Thanks for the reminder Motts… The pack is coming and coming quickly, the boys had better pull their collective fingers out.

  3. Who would be the best option for my backline? My Price to spend $368,000. Jason Blake comes to mind, any others better than him?

    1. G’day Barry. Haven’t heard from you for awhile mate.

You’ve probably already got him but how about Beau Waters. His 121 last week just makes him even more attractive. Price: $359,900.

      Another option: Josh Hunt.

Another couple I mentioned in the Movers last week were Myers and Suban. Don’t think either did much on the weekend though. Looks like me naming them a Mover has just become a Kiss of Death. (Goddard the clear exception).

      1. Nah, still here mate. Always taking on ya advice when needed. Probably take Hunty now you’ve said him. Waters I have, and agree doing a good job. Cheers & keep up the good work!
