Yes i know it’s a bit boring but it’s something I’ve been meaning to ask for a while.
Now we’ve worked out our differences with the Herald Sun it’s onwards and upwards here at SCTalk and it’s time to give you, the readers, more bang for your buck.
- What’s missing from the site? e.g The premiership ladder or the weekly game fixture.
- What functionality would you like to see? e.g The ability for readers to banter directly between each other.
- Do any of you want to contribute with your own column each week?
- etc ……

The fixture is useful, just for double checking captain choice etc without having to open an extra tab. Some kind of live discussion or forum? that could encourage more user interaction, though it might detract from the comments.
The content is what keeps me coming back here, it mostly original which is a big drawcard. Having the injury list, teams, draw and ladder is secondary as it’s available eslewhere.

I think if you kept it as an opinion and advice site while having a bit of fun it’d do you no harm at all.
What SCTalk provides what no amount of experts from the Herald Sun can and that’s an independent view of what can be done to improve your side with the avenue of opinion.
If someone wants to view the fixtures and ladder they can via the AFL.com link provided at the top of the screen and while I admit these things would be handy on the site they’re really not necessary.
People have to help themselves at some stage you see

I do believe that you should probably follow through on your wager concerning Kepler Bradley.

Only found out about the site by chance a couple of months ago when I was googling, this site is great no bullshit and very informative on all aspects related around Supercoach.
I cant wait to set up my team properly next year with this sites info, at present Im averaging around 2055, I think I can average at least 2200 next year with this sites help espicially aroung Rookies, keep up the good work Mottsy ( good carlton man) and of course Big Sexy

I would like to see a new weekly column entitled “Motts Magpie of the week” where Motts, PA, Deano & Nicko advises us on which premiership heroes we all should be trading into our team each week throughout the season.
I think the 4 Collingwood players nominated every week will not only be well received, but will generate tremendous debate that will help everyone’s SC team score more points, as well as adding that vital ingredient that this site clearly lacks.

Can you please set up a thread for “Help with my Team” for those of us that appreciate a consultative approach. I acknowledge some of you are competing against each other and therefore will be loath to show your hands however for those of us in other pro/cash/mates leagues, the advice could be invaluable given we’re all just one round away from finals and strategy can play a massive part in success or otherwise.

I would like to see more pictures of horses. Shetlands are my favourite type of horse. Most people call them ponies, but a pony is also a horse. I like them because they are small like me. If my mum let me buy a pony I would feed it carrots everyday and keep its mane well-groomed and tangle free. I would let it roam in my backyard and would only lock it in the shed if it was naughty. Alternatively, just keep the site as is.

I think it would be good if when u make a comment and someone replies to that comment you could be notified via email. Sometimes ill write something that I hope someone answers but then not get to a computer for days and not even remember where I wrote it.

I too love the site discovered it at the start of the year and having joined the LoEC it makes SC far enjoyable, a lot of my mates don’t take it as seriously so the competition this league brings is great!
would recommend that maybe the site would allow us the ability to create a profile so that we can find out a little more about each other ie SC team name, Club supported etc this would then also allow the ability to potentially get in contact with other users privately if we so wish.
The ability to create a thread would be great but at the same time it would need to monitored as you would have the potential for a heap of irrelevant threads that get tiresome to trawl through… maybe if you wanted to create one you could submit it to Motts and co and then they can deem if it is worthy for public viewing?

One of the first things I look for when I jump on this site is how many ‘coaches online’ (top left of each page). Wondering if it would be possible to identify exactly WHO is online in the event that one of us has a question or comment for a specific person. Obviously we would need the option to choose whether or not you want to be ‘revealed’ as online at any time.
