OK I’m back on deck. First item on the agenda is sorting out the SCTTL Finallists – I know you’re all dying to know. Deano’s sent me through the SCTTL5 results so here’s the Top 8 across all 5 leagues:

Congratulations to everyone who qualified – of the 90-odd people who played SCTTL this year, you proved yourself to be the best-of-the-best after all starting with the same team. Bravo!
So the finals system will run the same as usual – ie the double chance for the Top 4. The first week’s Qualifying matchups will be:
Shaw Bet (1) v Bluez Cluez (4), and
Sensei Pabs (2) v SCTTLSIMMO (3)
And in the Eliminations will be:
Goofballs (5) v Jesters Crew (8), and
DavidJohnsonRules (6) v howmuchcanjudcarry (7)
You can look at each other’s teams using the search function. I will of course provide another update next week.

Congrats to the top eight teams.
Been a big year for me running ninth in SCTTL by a measly 67 pts and finishing last in LOEC1 after ranking ninth overall with nine losses by less than 100 pts! Fingers crossed my luck turns for finals in my cash league.
Interestingly, the three coaches in SCTTL5 that entered teams other than the endorsed SCT team did not get a look in at the business end of the season. Let’s hope that’s a lesson learnt for next year.

This has been a fantastic competition & a lot of fun. My position in SCTTL 4 was 10th & yet somehow I’ve placed 2nd in the overall ranks. Most teams in my league seemed to lift the very week they played me & I kept being beaten even when I was posting scores over 2500! Just shows how challenging & enigmatic this game can be.

Comparing that starting team to my SCTTL team now only 12 players were retained (inc Murphy who was traded out/then back in).
Really enjoyed this challenge, as it allowed me to be a bit more riskier with trades and like most, my SCTTL outdid my main team on the weekly average by about 40 pts. DeeZNutz will be back stronger and harder next year!
