SCTTL Leagues – Name & Shame

Written by Motts on April 3 2012

We’re all about the fun here on SCT so this post was a little hard to write but here at SCT we are men of our words. We thought we made the instructions pretty clear – you could only use the team that was published on the site, no trades were to be made before the end of R1, and you could only join one SCTTL league because of the end of season comp we’ll be running.

So the following is a list of people who either didn’t listen, didn’t understand, thought the rules didn’t apply to them or are just plain muppets:

SCTTL 1

Samuel (Messi’s Kittens) – brought Hargrave in for Lake and Couch in for Magner – pretty sure this is Leo Messi – Leo, will you make 2 trades this week to bring your team back to baseline?

Fraser (The Abusement Park) – brought Boyd in for Selwood – has admirably said this morning that he’ll trade Selwood back in for Boyd this week.

SCTTL 2

Congratulations, all clear.

SCTTL 3

Well done, all clear.

SCTTL 4

Scatts (red rage) is in both SCTTL 3 & 4 but this was due to a very late dropout. If Scatts is good enough to qualify for the end of season competition in both leagues, only his SCTTL 3 place will count. If he only qualifies in one league, that score will count.

SCTTL 5

Deano has advised me the following coaches have infringed:

David (SINGO) – Scotland, Thompson…..
Paul (ROPE DUNGEON) – Malceski, Hargrave, Burgoyne, Brennan, Boyd, Swallow – and that’s just the DEFs and MIDs;
John (FAWKNER BOMBERS FC) – Completely changed the rucks to a 0,1,3 amongst many others.

He’s yet to send me a full list of who’s in his league so I can cross check it against the people that are in SCTTL’s 1-4. When he does there may be more muppet name-calling.

With the exception of Scatts, Fraser, and maybe Sam if he makes the changes this week, none of the above coaches will be eligible to compete in the end of season competition.

  2. Reading this post was like watching Lou Richards get hit in the knackers with a sherrin….

You feel bad about it but it’s still pretty funny.

I also like the use of the term ‘Muppet name calling.
Youre true to your word Motts…. I like it.

  3. Will the violaters round 1 score be adjusted even if they fix their team back up this week? Or are the trades a harsh enough penalty?

  5. Offenders should be punished in a fair and just way…

  6. Can’t let them get Tambling, that’s unfair for those of us that had intended to trade him in our sides!! 🙂

  9. Im in SCCTL 2 (Fletch Lives) and crazy to think that theres already a 222 point difference between the top and bottom teams in the league. Really shows how important ‘coaching’ is when its exactly the same squad.

Any major differences in the other leagues?

  10. @Motts RT “If Scatts is good enough to qualify for the end of season competition in both leagues, only his SCTTL 3 place will count. If he only qualifies in one league, that score will count.”

I thought it was the top 8 overall scores which will qualify for SCTTL World Series. In this case, Scatts will have the same overall score in both leagues (since he has the same team competing in both leagues) so theoretically he either qualifies or he doesn’t. Right?

Of course, he may finish in different ladder positions in each league and may or may not make the finals in either or both. It is a possibility (especially on current form) he’ll make the GF in both leagues which we can’t really prevent. It’s also possible that he makes/wins one or even both GFs but still doesn’t make the top 8 SCTTL overall.
