SCTTL M2 & M3

Written by Motts on March 5 2012

Here we go. The second last poll to make up the SCTTL team. Now before you go clicking on Pendles and Swan, spare a thought for how much money would be left over if you did that ($457k) and who that money is going to buy you.

Reading the comments from the previous post, Rory Sloane ($478,900) and Luke Shuey ($513k) both got mentioned as possibilities.

You’ve got 2 choices, give it some thought then click away.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

  1. Selwood and Murphy would leave $574,100. Gibbs, Redden, Bartel or Montagna would all be available, unless we went with a Sloane/Shuey type and a bit of play money to help with the trades.

  2. Shuey was on crutches down in Mandurah… Bartel would be a good choice if Joelwood doesn’t get the gig.

  3. Motts, can we first do a poll to gauge preference for how much spending money to leave in the kitty? Then have a shorter poll with only candidates that fit.

$0-10K – Spend it all baby, you only live once
$11-50K – I’m gonna change a couple of rookies ASAP
    $51-100K – Insert Mott-ism here…
    >$101K – Show me the money!

  4. I’ve been thinking and was wondering….what is going to stop people swapping their players during the extended lock out? We have Sydney and GWS playing a week before everyone else and then have Richmond and Carlton on the following Thursday as part of said lockout. You can still make unlimited trades during this time and as we usually do up until Friday we keep and eye on the rookies that are going to get named and those that are not and then swap to suit. What if Lake doesn’t come up due to match fitness (he blew up hard after half time) and will not play in the first 2 games? It may be ok to say to change to a specific player but not everyone will get the info in time, especially with the rookies.
I’m all for having a rule to change on the rooks if they are not nominated as starting in the first round but it should be them only and none of the mid range to prem players unless the Lake thing happens and then you can trade Lake to whomever you want but no others.
I don’t want to go creating headaches here but it was on my mind.

  5. I was involved in a dreamteam version of this last year. The challenge is simple. Same team for all. Who can make the best trades is simply the challenge!! The team with the best score at the end of round 23 wins. Nothing more nothing less. Don’t worry about lake and his stomach cramps and porps and his shoulder. We will all have the same TEAM.

  6. Juddy I finished 12th overall in one of these leagues. Believe me when I say I’m going for the 50k.

  7. Might be a tad late but I’ll throw it out there… there are other options though.
    Brent Harvey $548,000 DPP MID/FWD
We as of yet don’t have any dual position players in the mid and only 1 with a bye at R11.
