SCTTL Round 13 Update

Now that we are through the carnage/opportunity of the bye rounds, depending on how we fared, its time to update the community on the status of the Technical Leagues.

For those of you unfamiliar with SCTTL, those participating all began the season with the same team that was formulated via extensive polling conducted on the site during the preseason. The objective is to be the highest overall scoring team at the completion of the SuperCoach season with coaches utilising their strategic and tactical nous in trading, captaincy and emergency decisions to achieve the ultimate fantasy accolade of SCTTL Coach of the Season.

Obviously as we are getting to the pointy end of the season, trading decisions will be all-important. Do we go all out for a full team now or save trades for LTIs? With only 572 points separating the top ten teams, strategy will no doubt dictate the outcome over the next ten weeks so let us know below how you’re travelling, trades left, etc.

Great write up Deano / Motts. I just hope it’s a misprint that there is 6206 points between 2nd and 3rd in SCTTL1, or I’ve got a lot of work to do.

3 trades left after the two upgrades I make this week. Gonna go hard now like I have over the bye period and hope no LTIs. Ive got good bench cover if something tragic happens. Ive had three really misfortunate events that have made me waste 3-4 trades with getting in Carrazo the round he broke his collarbone then Fisher who gets injured, and Zaha the week he was a late withdrawl with a quad he did at friday training: FU Hird.

19 premiums with Lake, Clarke and Zorko filling the rest of the spots on the field when team is complete next week.

The round 6 trade of Fyfe — Beams was probably the best trade I have made apart from that just doing the obvious upgrades in Priddis and Dal Santo. Hopefully a few premium PODs can get me over the line being only 300 points behind the leader, Sloane, Swan, Chapman and my new recruit Ryder. This idea has been so good because I’ve made aggressive trades that I have not had the balls to do in my normal team and they have mostly paid off.

gimmeguitars June 27, 2012 at 7:36 pm: Agree with the last bit wholeheartedly! Because things are so tight it’s like our hands have been tied ‘sink or swim’. There’s a few moves I wish I’d made in my normal team. Not having iMullet2.0 and Selwood are probably my biggest differentials.
