Sunday Arvo Games R17, 2013

Written by MJ on July 21 2013

Richmond V Freo (MCG) – Freo’s first game at the MCG this year. How will they fare? The Dockers are missing a few key players, with Pavlich, Ballantyne and Sandilands out of the side. Plenty of eyes will be on the midfields of each team: Cotch, Lids, Martin V Barlow, Mundy and Fyfe. Heaps of SC relevance in this one will see many tuned in to the early game (including myself at 5am over in Paris this week). Who will take the honours?

Adelaide V Geelong (AAMI) – An absolute must win for the Crows to give them any chance of finals. Both Stevie J and Dangerfield are out for their respective sides, which dampens our interest in this one slightly. However, we’ve still got Selwood, Enright, Taylor, Bartel to keep an eye on, whilst Adelaide premiums are not as highly sought after.

West Coast V Sydney (PS) – Always a fascinating matchup between the two modern rivals, with the Swans getting the wood over the Eagles in recent times. Plenty of conjecture has surrounded NicNat’s fitness during the week. Sources say Justin Longmuir has declared he will play, but there could be two late changes, according to Tim Gossage on Twitter. Who have you got in the final game of the round. Are you sweating on any for a big score to win you a crunch league game?

  4. And with that loss our season is now done. if i had a say at the eagles this is what i would do.
    1) Nic Nat put on the LTI list for the rest of the year to get him ready for next yer. Get some games into Lycett, lets see what he can do.
    2) Selwood needs to retire now. Can’t keep up with anyone. Was a great player but past it and is holding the likes of Wilson out of the team.
    3) If they are going to persist with Lecca in the middle how about trying Kerr in the Forward line or Wing, cops a pounding every week trying to do his bit for the team, is obviously getting older and sore, try something different, and Woosha has the nerve to come out and say he doesn’t warrant a spot in the team! Are you kidding me! He gives 110% every week and has carried our midfield at times and is still top 3, with Masten & Priddis.
4)Woosha needs to decide weather or not he is coaching next year. If he says yes then great start planning next year. If not go hard at Roos. If Roos says no at least we can start looking at a new coach before Melbourne jump the Q.
