    1. Port have 13 games left, while Bulldogs have 12 games left.
That means if Westhoff, Gray or Boak average 100p a game (total: 1,300), McLean would have to average 108 to get the same aggregate score.
      Something to consider.

I’m thinking of trading in Boak for that reason (already have McLean, and I think Gray will be spending more time up forward)

        1. That’s only true if you’re a player short in the position you are bringing them in during a week. Otherwise it’s just an extra week where they will be taking a rookies score which is worth about 40 points.

  1. T/U – Double downgrade this week and double up next week (Smith/Rice then Danger/??)
    T/D – 1 up 1 down both weeks (Danger/Smith then ??/??)

    12

  2. TU: Henry and Guelfi > Walters and Smith

TD: Henry and Guelfi > Rice/Ridley and Smith (through Keefe swing and to generate cash over byes)

        1. I know, I’m only fishing.

If they’re both missing Simpson comes in.

If one gets up I’m getting Heeney. 🙂

  3. TU – Guelfi/Fritsch OUT – T.Smith/Westhoff IN

    TD – Guelfi/Kelly OUT – T.Smith/Danger IN

    1. Brodie, I presume that you wouldn’t have enough cash in order to go ZGL & Kelly to Smith & Danger. If you do however that is the clear trade.

However without the cash I’ve voted for TU due to Walters BE, bye structure plays a part however

      Best of luck

      1. Yeah couldn’t afford getting Danger unless trading Fritsch and bye structure is pretty even with either option

        1. Personally I also am yet to get Danger & he has a BE of 120. Playing the Suns away I can see him getting a sub ton score & dropping more cash.

My plan is to pick him up in R15 in exchange for Holman

      1. Just clarifying if he scores a 140+ then he will go up however he may hover around this price or even go down if a 70 is in there.

Also IMA there is better options currently e.g Walters & Heeney

  4. T/U rocky
    T/d walters

If i go walters i will have 18 players / 11 premos (plus fritsch/smith) available rd 14 at this point

    1. Hard call to make with so little data, but the numbers are all we have. Both times that they’ve played together Smith has outscored Fritsch. However you want to phrase it – higher average, higher score last week, the numbers say Smith. That being said, with such a small sample size it’s gonna be a roll of the dice either way.

  5. 2 options for my son’s team, as usual he doesn’t care what dad thinks, he wants the SCT coaches to decide!

    T/U…
    ZGL > T Smith
    T Kelly < Dangerstield
    $209,1000 in the bank

    T/D…
    Fritsch Dangerfield
    $51,900 in the bank

    Cheers Catta

    1. Option 1 looks like the clear winner.

Bye structure isn’t changed, Dangerfield and Smith are in and Fritsch is able to be kept.

  6. Have two of these to ask regarding who to field.

Firstly, who to field at D6?

    TU: Richards
    TD: Ridley

    1. Whoops, just realised someone asked the same thing! But my first question of Richards vs Ridley stands

  7. T Kelly & ZGL OUT

TU: M Walters & T SMith (both in FWD, swing Spargo into MID)

    TD: Rocky & T Smith

Will leave me with 15 Trade and approx $500K either way

Comment: Thoughts on Rocky next week, via J Henry and Spargo DPP

  8. Hey lads!
    Who to field..
    T/U: Spargo
    T/D: Holman

    Spargo with the consistent 60s
and Holman could go 90 up or 30 arggh!!!

    Cheers

  9. Billings to smith, Barry to Walters leaves 181600 cash TU
Kelly to Walters fritch/billings/gueilfi/ to smith 323-448000 cash left TU

  10. Trading Garlet to Smith. Eying off Rockliff due to his low BE, underpriced and good bye coverage.

    But who to trade out?

TU Bontempelli (due to BE of 170 and 47 lingering, plus leaves me with $269k for future upgrades)

TD Taranto (BE of 119, but only leaves me with $136k ITB)

    1. No rookies to trade out instead? Both a little sideways, although Taranto could be on the nose since J Kelly’s return….

The Bont trade in particular could really come back to bite.

  11. My current def is
Laird, Simpson, Yeo, Howe, Sicily, Doedee
    (Coffield, L.Murphy)

    Mids
Macrae, Fyfe, Mitchell, Dusty, Cripps, JPK, Coniglio, T.Kelly (Barry, Higgins, Phillips)

    Ruck
    Gawn, Grundy (Cameron)

    Fwds
Heeney, Smith, Mundy, Petracca, Fritsch, Smith
    (Spargo, Guelfi)

My first trade is Higgins – Rice (via Coffield to mids)

My forwards are my weakest line but I’m thinking of swinging Sicily down there to balance it out

I only need one more midfielder and that’s going to be Danger after his bye

I’m leaning towards Ryan cause his b/e is lower than Robbie gray this week. The pro for gray is his already had the bye though

    Thumbs up- L.Ryan
    (via Sicily) Bank $59k

    Thumbs down- Gray
($300 short of McLean) Bank $2.5k

    I’m stumped

  12. Who to bring in this week?

Trading: Billings & J Higgins for:

TU: Westhoff & T Smith $12,000 left (which is great for RD 14)

TD: Walters & T Smith $116,200 left (Walters at a bargain price)

    1

  13. Who to trade out for Rice and Smith?

    T/U – Murphy and Guelfi
    T/D – Murphy and Spargo

Comment: other option – eg: Murphy and Cunico/Barry (both via Spargo)/Billings.

I also have Coffield but planning on keeping for his D/M swing during first bye trades (until his bye probably).

    1

    2
    1. I would go with Barry as he’s not playing, had his bye and doesn’t seem to have a high scoring potential. Even in Rd 1 (his best game) with 22 touches he only got 44.
Out of the two, you’re keeping Coffield for his DPP you should do the same with Spargo. I’m going through the same dilemma and went with Guelfi. He will also be $15k more expensive too.

      1. Thanks Bob, your comments making sense. I did try a version trading out Barry earlier in the week – it was just a little frustrating seeing the small amount of cash generated though… + he’s my only loophole this weekend now Murphy is in, but me no complain about that. This particular decision is doing my head in…

  14. Last spot in my backline.

    TU: Luke Ryan.
TD: Spend a little extra and get Yeo.

Comment: Take a punt on Shannon Hurn (averaging 99, just $476,500).

  15. Who to field at F6?

    TU: Fritsch
    TD: Tim Smith

Comment: They’re both in great form and are playing the Bulldogs; field them both and bench someone else.

  16. Deledio has gone to Tim Smith.
    Kelly has to go. So,
    TU: Danger
TD: Heeney, and Danger next week (I will have the funds), and move Heeney FWD then
    R14 not a problem in MID/FWD lines.

      1. Unfortunately no forward loophole option. Tim Smith seems to be in the best form, but my waters tell me that he’ll score 60 and fisher 100.

  17. Given T for 2 gets a lot of traffic this time of the week, I thought I’d ask a more general question here.
Was having a chat over a beer with a fellow SCer yesterday and he had some interesting thoughts around the byes.
He believes that AFL teams have now worked out how best to approach the byes and that is to leave nothing on the field last game prior, so that players genuinely need the week off, so don’t come back cold and lose after the bye, as they used to. He asserted that last year, players tend to score higher than their season ave. (SCpts) the week before their bye, ie Carlton, Hawks, WBD and WCE players this week. He was very convincing …
Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? Or analysed it?
Either way, I’d be interested to hear people’s thoughts/comments
    TU: he speaks the truth
TD: smells a bit like bullish!t to me
    Thanks

  18. Who to field at D6 between Tom Cole, Sam Murray or Ed Richards?

Cole might take mastens running role. Murray to probably replace Howe and Richards coming off a ton.

  19. Trading out ZGL for my last FWD upgrade

TU: Walters (420k, bye to come in R14)
TD: Boak (480k, no bye to come)
