Table For Two – Rd10

Written by Schwarzwalder on May 24 2018

Lunch time on Thursday……..time for a Table For Two! Following on from Thommo’s 2UP over the pre-season, Table For Two helps you with those tough choices that you’ve been contemplating all week.

Time to get The Bont back into the team? Best value replacement up forward? Time to get rid of Billings? Should we play Hibberd at D6 or D7? Hold onto Parker? Time to get Dusty into the side?  Whatever the question, our SCT Coaches are here to help. Enter your players names into the Comments below and the SCT Coaches will guide you with the Thumbs UP/DOWN function. Good luck on the weekend, Coaches!

  1. Making an upgrade in the backline this week, only have around 500k to spend, and I already have Simpson. Should I bring in:

    T/U: T. McDonald
    T/D: H. Andrews

    19

    6
  2. Tu – Yeo
    Td – Howe

Ranked 220th so looking maybe at more of a pod route.

Still have 1 more defense spot to fill after one of these, so most likely will get both regardless.

Looking at Howe this week as yeo took a few solid knocks last week

  3. Need a Rd 13 Defender:

    T McDonald $500k, b/e 49 – averaging 106 (86 before his last two games)
    J Howe $527k, b/e 74 – averaging 100 (94 before his last two games)

    Is Howe the safer bet?

    TU TMac
    TD Howe

  4. TU: Murray-Ridley & Henry-Franklin
    TD: Murray-Lloyd & Henry-Phillips (Spargo DPP)
    Comment: TKelly-Oliver & Henry-Phillips

  5. Upgrading murray to a premium defender.

Am I better off getting yeo now, or waiting till after his early bye and getting webster now?

    TU Yeo now
TD Webster now and yeo after his bye

  6. I am unsure on who to place on the field this week because of the Saints Richmond game. Since Higgins has been named i am stuck with a few possible situations.
TU Do i loophole Spargo and Phillips in the midfield
    or
TD Switch Spargo and Higgins via DPP and just give myself the single shot with Higgins on the field

I could even play Higgins/Guelfi over Billings on the field……

  7. TU Macrae in
TD someone else like Cripps, McLean or the serial shrugger Selwood (I have Danger, Dusty, Titch, Fyfe and Oliver already)

  8. TU Macrae in
TD someone else like Cripps, McLean or the serial ducker (I have Danger, Dusty, Titch, Fyfe and Oliver already)

  9. Is Shaun McKernan (bombers R/F) a worthwhile trade in? -24Be with scores of 94 and 114.

Will he hold his place and end up being a worthy F6?
T/U – for yes to both questions
    T/D – for no ..
    Reasons please!

left field option, but how is his JS??

    1. His average over the last three years is mid-70s. I wouldn’t think he’s worth the trade unless you have 20+ trades left and he’s helping avoid a donut and he’s gonna help through the byes Rd13). If I couldn’t answer yes to all three of these conditions I’m not sure I’d bother.
Risky play and JS, but as they say, no risk, no reward.
Good luck if you decide to play it 🙂

  10. Team non-selections are forcing my hand. I need to upgrade Murray to a premium defender. Yeo is my first choice but his injury cloud has me concerned about him being a late out and therefore a donut. Now thinking Howe.

    Up – Howe
Dn – Yeo and risk a donut

    Comment – Lloyd or Ryan

Current defender premiums are Laird, Hurley, Sicily and Simpson.

    1. Have you considered Webster? I already have Webster and Yeo so I am bringing in Howe for Murray.

I don’t think I would want to risk a donut. Yeo the best you don’t have, but you still have one more spot he could go into.

      1. Good thought FD. Webster is hot atm I am just not sure if he can sustain it. I also wonder if the Saints will throw players I different positions if they continue to play poorly. That said I will look into Webster.

  11. A one game defender is coming in ’cause outs. Who has the best chance of playing through the byes:

    T/U = Ridley
    T/D = Rice

    4

    1. I’m going for Rice, mainly because the Bombers rooks (Guelfi, Mutch, Clarke) don’t seem to get a good run before they get ‘rested’.
Of course, given my form this year, that probably means you should go for Ridley!

      1. I know Stoddart hasn’t even played yet, but if I had to pick one of them this week, it’d be him. With Millsy out for the season, Horse’s rep for giving rookies a run, and the fact he looks ready and awesome (real run and distribution his strengths that suit the Swans’ game to a T).
Too many unknowns on the other two to be confident on JS.
Could well be wrong, but …

  12. Trade plans out the window with the backline carnage so advice needed.

    Murray to who:

    TU – Lloyd
    TD – Webster

Both similarly priced, similarly averaging and same bye so struggling to pick one.

    1. Webster for a bit of POD but I chose Lloyd as his proven before he can average at least 90, his in great form and the loss of mills for the season is only going to see him get more footy

      1. Yeah BUT pretty sure the same was for Lloyd last year and he put up poor scores in the back half of the year? Note to self go and check Naths stats to confirm!!

  13. Basically have to get rid of Mills and Murray this week, have 18k in the bank and no clue what to do. Don’t really trust the job security of Ridley as Hurley should return soon. PLEASE HELP.
