  1. Captain choice for this week as Titch will be my vice for tonight

    TU Jelwood
    TD Danger

Will either cop a tag? Is it worth going a little left field and taking Jelwood as a POD capt?

    1. I’ve gone Selwood 2 weeks in a row and got it wrong both times….

However I can’t help but feel if I vc Danger this week Selwood will kill it out of spite

      So I’m sticking with Selwood

      1. See I feel the same as I just have that feeling that one week Danger will just cop a 70 and Jelwood goes bang with a 150 but I just don’t want to get it wrong and it be reversed on me as everyone will have danger as a vice/capt

  2. T/U – Trade Berry (low be unconsitent scores)

T/D- Trade Newman (80 be but has shown he can get that comfortably)

    1. Depends what you need. Need money go Newman, if you need scores through the byes go Berry I feel.

Newman shouldn’t drop much or if at all in price through the byes so you are safe at holding him for an extra week or 2

  3. TU – out – Balic, Eddy and Steele – in – Joel Selwood, Bolton , Cousins (haw)
TD – out – Balic, Eddy and Pasons – in Scooter Selwood, Bolton , Cousins (haw)

    1. Is it better to just take a 0 this week so you don’t receive any potential damage after from attempting to plug a hole

  4. need to get rid of 1 to fund double upgrades this week.

    TU: Barrett out
    TD: SPP out

Barrett has money to make vs SPP’s bye coverage

  5. TU: Bring in Yeo, Adams, and Scott Selwood.
TD: Bring in some combination of the following: [Tuohy or Z. Williams], [T. J. Lynch or J. Cameron], and [Martin or Sloane]

The latter option gets me to full-premium quicker, but the former allows me to get better premiums in the process. On the flip side, bringing in Scott Selwood means that it will ultimately take an extra two trades for me to get to full-premium. As an aside, it should also be noted that I can’t afford the most expensive of the latter combinations.

    1. Reading you on here is awesome every week Jack. You often offer some great in site.

Without going into too much length I gave a thumbs up because I believe Yeo and Adams to be definite keepers and SSelwood to be a decent stepping stone (i would guess a couple big rises over the next couple at least given his BE). Whereas the latter option I’m just riddled with gut feelings to stay away from certain players. A list which includes everybody everybody except for the MIDs you named (Martin and FaceSmasher).

Anyways, the Salamanders are doing amazing! Keep it up!

      1. Thank you for your kind words, Mantini. I’ve decided that I’m going to go with the TU option, because that combination should score at least as well as the TD option (and will probably score even better), but, unlike the latter, has the capacity for further growth in output, by virtue of Scott Selwood eventually being upgraded.

There is a slight concern over Yeo’s role-security, and Taylor Adams’ injury history does not inspire confidence, but I haven’t gotten to where I am by playing it safe. I am, however, taking the precaution of scattering my trades across the weekend – since they are post-lockout, I won’t be able to reverse them if something goes wrong (say, if Taylor Adams somehow breaks his hand eating breakfast on Sunday), so I’m doing them in a sort of just-in-time fashion.

My main concern in all of this, however, is that it will ultimately leave me with two less trades in the long run. Hopefully I don’t end up needing them!

        1. I feel ya, Jack.

Kinda wingin’ it this year. Going with the gut feelings a bit more due to some rookie carnage.

A bit hard to get a feel of certain trade scenarios given that we don’t know too much about everybody’s trade situation. (However, that’s why the trade polls are handy here on SCT!)

Hope your selections did/do you well!

It’s kind of strange…but as much as I’ve learned here on SCT over the past year and a bit…learning to trust a gut feeling seems very new and I’m trusting that gut of mine more and more each week. The rookie carnage this year has had a lot to do with that. (Basically came in with a gameplan and so many rookies blew it that i started to ‘scaredy-cat trade’ rookies that could have easily been kept (ie. Kayne Turner, )

Money is tough and trades are gold (as the Father has written) and the ol’ gut is rumblim’ louder than ever.

          Good luck!

(Saw that ZWill score and cringed a bit for you…but I reckon you will be alright!)

  6. My choice this week is between a couple strange options. It is between;

    T/U – use trades
T/D – use none…or one (basically conserve trades for the next couple byes)

    Here is a bit more detail;

The same T/U – use 3 crazy DPP trades (a big one which includes dumping JJK…who i brought in last week, only for him to suffer (based on watching the game on replay) an injury that looked like one of those weird, nasty, strange ones that seems like it has no definitive timetable for return…no matter what the Eagles say…who knows sometimes? Injuries are weird) and field 18, by doing a ‘2up1down’ to bring in Rance and Jelwood along with Bolton (or basically a rental of any cheap rookie forward or mid who gets a game this week)(could also be Jel, Tom Lynch (GC) and Scharenburg)

    or

The same T/D – if Sandi doesnt get named tonight I will only field 17 even if I use 3 ‘bye preperation’ trades (kind of a carnage situation..JJK was brought in to minimize that type of thing, but alas…) I just hold a couple of those trades and either just do a 1down and bank some cash (Im 100% setup for the next two byes already, but can turn Rookies into Week 11 premos and be much improved) or 1up1down and grab Jelwood and at least have that extra premo now too hopefully project to not lose too much rank. This way I could also hold JJK and Sandi.

Man…I need teams to be named.
Work at 6am (teams named at 1:25am in Canada).

If you made it through that entire ramble you now know that I will not be sleeping. I offically understand Clarko’s comments on naming a team during the week.

    Thanks!

  7. Out: Balic/Houston/Barrett
    In: Greenwood/SSelwood/Bolton
    Bank 400k
    17 Trades left

    T/U: DMartin over Bolton
T/D: Bolton now and get Rocky next week

    1. If I go DMartin it’ll have to be SPP instead of Barrett.
And I’ll field either 20 if I trade Barrett, or 19 if it’s SPP

  8. With no non playing players this week (bar Hampton) and inability to loophole with the 8 bye players should I put the VC on Burgoyne.

TU: Yes (as it allows me to put the C on Dangerfield)
TD: No (C Pendlebury and hope for a withdrawal to bank Danger if he goes large)

    1. I swear if you captain the bye player it will give you the loophole as it worked for me the other week when i loopholed SPP

  9. Who’s the better option of the 2 considering at the end of the bye rounds they’re likely to be M9…

    T/U: S Selwood
    T/D: Bolton

  10. Hi SuperCoach community I have one spot to fill in my midfield it’s down to Sloane or Dustin Martin I have reverse traded so many times so I need your help. With Sloane I will only just have 18 players rd 13 providing the rookies get picked or I can take Dustin Martin to play it safe. Tu:Sloane Td: Martin.

    1. If you are more than confident you can get 18 on field in Rd13, it’s gotta be Sloane. Currently the number 1 player in the game even after copping 2 (1 serious) tags priced at less than $600k, it’s a bargain.
