Table For Two – Rd19

Written by Schwarzwalder on July 27 2017

Lunch time on Thursday……..time for a Table For Two!  Following on from Thommo’s 2UP over the pre-season, Table For Two helps you with those tough choices that you’ve been contemplating all week.

Time to get Sloane back into the team?  Can he shake the tag?  Will Gawn get up for the game this week?  Which Dual Position Player is best to bring in for the last five weeks?  Best value replacement for Pendles?  Time to get rid of Nank?  Whatever the question, our SCT Coaches are here to help.  Enter your players names into the Comments below and the SCT Coaches will guide you with the Thumbs UP/DOWN function.  Good luck on the weekend, Coaches!

  1. Like most coaches, have lost faith in Rocky so will be trading him out this week. Will wait until I see tonight’s teams for any other surprises first, but if if all, tossing up between these 2 trades :

TU: Rocky OUT, Laird IN by moving T Adams to MIDS
TD: Rocky OUT, Sloane or Beams IN.

Want to do it using only the one trade so will only have about $500k to play with, and have 4 trades left before I do either.
By keeping Rocky, and saving the trade, I have to play Greenwood (not the worst option I know, but would still prefer to keep him for bench cover and replace Rocky).

  2. TU: JJK & Hibberd (MEL) for Greene & Newman, but only 2 trades left

TD: Keep all 4 trades, Greene will be back and wont get suspended for a 3rd time this year

    1. If you need to win this week to make Finals then YES. If you’re comfortably in the Top8 in your Leagues then HOLD……

  3. 4 Trades left before the below:

TU: Make 2 and go Pendles to Dusty + Fisher to Junker
TD: Make 1 and go Pendles to Beams

Have lots of cover (Witherden, Greenwood/Nank, and Murphy (junker to help loop) on bench) remaining trades would be for season ending injuries only.

  4. With the Suns and Tigers playing against each other this week it has created a dilemma as i cannot loophole Lynch and Nankervis.

So who to play on field

    T – U Tom Lynch

    T – D Nankervis

  5. Who’s going to score best in the run home?

    TU: Yeo
TD: Stefan Martin (if Archie Smith stays out of the team)

  6. 6 trades left beforehand, do I save a trade and get a decent premo or use 2 and get a top-of-the-line premo and also spread out the bench better:

TU: Pendles -> Titch/Martin + DPP Rookie (Requires 2 trades but results in bench of Ryan D7, Witherden M9, Greenwood F7)
TD: Pendles -> $550kor below (1 trade only but bench of Ryan D7, Witherden D8, Greenwood M7 or F7)

  7. Who to go for titch
J Lloyd (output has dropped slightly since the return of mc veigh) 5 round Ave. 87.4
    99 v dons, 88 demons, 81 suns, 97 GWS, 72 saints
    Or
H Shaw (slightly more respectable in his last 5 with only one stinker against the lions) 5 round Ave. 82.8
    60 v lions, 85 cats, 92 Hawks, 95 swans, 82 tigers

Leaning towards chopping shaw as Lloyd still seems more consistent and his low score of 72 against the saints could be excused with the ball hardly being in their defensive half throughout!

    1. Morris broken arm out for 6-8 weeks and Marcus Adams shows as ” indefinite” on Tuesday’s injury list are positives for Young’s security. F Roberts named in Bulldogs 27 tonight is a defender.
Watched Young’s first game and he looked very good and got 79 S/C points in 2nd game last week. If he holds his form, he should keep his spot.
I brought him in for Parsons this week for the cash.

  8. Like anyone else who has him Rockliff has done my head in but I can’t help thinking that with Zorko out this must be his week. I have 5 trades left so what do I do

    T/U Hold him
    T/D Trade him to Beams

  9. Want to go Pendles to Titch but need to downgrade one bench defender for cash and bring in Glass. Who would you trade out?
    T/U: Ryan
    T/D: Scharenberg
Glass gives me DPP with Witherden in mids so JS not so much an issue. Or is Junker a better option leaving me with a few more dollars?
