Target Test – Aaron Sandilands?

Written by Big Sexy on March 8 2012

By special request from PA.

211 had a very unusual injury last year with Turf Toe, followed by a reocurrence after a premature return.  He has the mantle as Premier Ruckman of the comp that he handed back to Big Cox last season, though if both are fully fit, the last few seasons have shown 211 prob has the edge.  Last season he only managed 13 games, but maintained an average of 110.  He is $600k and it all depends on what ruck strategy you taking, but where dose big Sandy sit in your mind?

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

  1. Unconfirmed reports that Sandilands has a slight calf tear. He was interviewed on Ch7; used the words “tweak” & “niggle”, said he’d miss the next 2 weeks, aiming for R1.

  2. A bit risky at Sandy’s price with his injuries & lack of pre season game time. Better off waiting to see if he can recapture his form & maybe bring him later once we see that he’s back to his best. Kreuzer seems to be a good cheaper alternative & his form so far has been great.

  3. Bit off subject but what do people think of Sam Jacobs from the crows? I have 510k in the bank and and an open spot so it’s either nicnat, Jacobs or kreuzer/ Hmac. Heis the crows only ruckmen so is guaranteed minutes im seriously considering him. My other ruck is McEvoy if that matters.

  4. He was a short priced favourite to be selected in early markets but he is falling out of favour quicker than Yumi Stynes at the moment…
    Not for my team

  5. Look, with his concerns I wouldn’t be looking at him now.
If he has a “good” year, he could be a great upgrade target later on though.
