Target Test – Lindsay Gilbee?

Written by Big Sexy on March 7 2012

By request of Bleeding Red & Black.

The Gumbee is a former Supercoach favorite, and this year has lost his dual position staus and is a straight defender.  He struggled last year and only managed 13 games and an average of 74, a far cry from his average of preceeding years.  He is reasonably priced at $402k, so how do you feel about Lindsay?

  1. Yeah dont think Gilbee will be making the sqaud this year, dont think i have actually ever had him in my team over the last 3 seasons.

What are peoples thoughts on Enright and Newman this year?? hasnt been much love for them at all. Enright has been a lock in my team seasons past…

  2. My eldest brother once told me a story of seeing the west Indian cricket team at Adelaide airport in the 90s when they were leaving for footy trip. One of his mates asked Courtney Walsh why his Parents named him a girls name. Apparently the big fella was not happy.

A no from me on Gumbee.

  3. I’ve always liked Gilbee as a footballer, An attacking defender with a kick that would put most NFL punters to shame. Still hard to make a call on his ability to run with the younger guns. Did have one bright spot last year with an 160ish point game in the middle of the season. But with no DPP plus age & last seasons form being a risk factor….Cant see many coaches taking a punt on him. Hope he proves me wrong (Love the ‘girls name’ reference btw BS lol)

What is going on with Deledio, and what does it mean for super coaches? Is he too risky?
