Target Test – Patrick Dangerfield?

Written by Big Sexy on February 29 2012

He plays every week, he goes at it as hard as anyone, he can run,  he can kick goals but his scores are a little inconsistent, and just like Missy Higgins, Stranger Danger is an unbelievable talent.  He also has the Mid/Fwd DPP status and has a similar price coming in at $435k.  What’s your take?

  1. Are you guys trying to make me laugh today. Target Tests on Higgins and Dangerfield on the same day. Who’s next, Scotty Gumbelton??

  2. Just heard Grimes has hurt his shoulder in a training collision. Not related to his other injuries and not sure how serious but this has to convince even the most optimistic that he’s just not worth it!

  3. The Lions just tweeted: “Browny collided with a team mate at training today & is undergoing precautionary scans. Club won’t speculate on results at this point.”

The teammate is believed to be defender Matt Maguire.

If the injury is serious it would be a huge blow to the Lions and their 30-year-old skipper, who has so far had a rare uninterrupted pre-season.

Brown spent seven hours in surgery after he copped a knee to the face from Fremantle’s Luke McPharlin in March last year.

He returned late in the season only to suffer a broken jaw in a marking contest against Geelong.

  4. He is on the radar but unlikely to get a run at this stage.

Shame about Brown and Grimes, it must be frustrating for them.

  5. Potential doesn’t make you points. He may break out one year – it may even be this year, but if he does, I’ll accept the past 5 years where I haven’t been suckered into selecting him as more than adequate recompense.

  6. 22 kicks, 11 handballs, 8 marks, 3 tackles for 127 DT points.

Anyone a little bit more interested?
