Target Test – Paul Bower?

Written by Big Sexy on March 14 2012

By request from PA.

It would have made more sense to get the inside word from Motts as no doubt he would have seen him in action a lot more than myself, so instead I will stick to the facts:  2006 played 2 ave 35, 2007 played 10 ave 53, 2008 played 12 ave 62, 2009 played 20 ave 89, 2010 played 11 ave 76, 2011 played 3 ave 29.  Laidler is out with a knee for 5-6weeks (min), Jammo has some concerns.  He’s bargain at $157k, where is he on your radar?

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Any requests?

  1. I am going with starting strategy of all rookies and cheapies bar one premium on the backline, however, he is not on my list of possibles. He has had mutiple injury concerns since 2010. Would be one to look at if he puts two solid games on the board.

  2. Been wondering this for about 4 weeks now.
He has been coming in and out of my side…Havent heard alot about his current form. I dare say if he is named rnd 1 i would probably take him.

  3. Bower’s a dependable key defender who always provides a contest & will get massive game time with laidler & jammo out for a while. Not sure if he’s capable of producing big SC scores this season but will be a great cashcow to milk & upgrade. If i had enuff dollars to throw around i’d pick him up. Cheap as chips at his price & much more viable option than Marty Clarke atm. I like Cam Guthrie too at $189k, he’ll probably take over injured Wojinski’s spot as attacking defender or impact bench player.

  4. Very even poll thus far….. he’s not in my team right now, but could easily be swayed, especially if named in round 1.

  5. I like that point about losing Marty Clarke and replacing with Guthrie. Also taking bowler if named round 1 seems sound.

  6. I am a big blues fan and there is no way I would have him, basically he is no good. Ratten must think so he was nearly delisted, turns the ball over, Carlton are better off trying young blokes eg Watson IMO
