The Fallen Premiums – R19

Written by MJ on August 3 2017

Jeremy Howe $478,200 (-$22.3K) AVE 96.3, BE 37 – “Howe did he do that?!” Collingwood’s high flying half-back has just leapt back into contention for a spot in our backlines, with two consecutive scores worthy of recognition (114 & 131). With another couple of 125s in his last six matches, his form is peaking at the right time of year for a POD selection for SC Finals.

Coming down:
Docherty BE 145
Houli BE 130
Simpson BE 128
Laird BE 126
Hurley BE 126

Pick me!

Lachie Neale $530,400 (-$82.4K) AVE 110.9, BE 108 – Of the top 10 averaging players in 2017, Neale is the cheapest at this point in time. 117 in the brave loss against the Giants has made it 11/18 games over 110 points this year. With Gold Coast at Domain this week, the Dockers may well get up and you would expect Fyfe and Neale to be the beneficiaries.

Marcus Bontempelli $520,000 (-$66.1K) AVE 108.8, BE 103 – With Brisbane lined up this week, the Dogs will be keen to make a statement heading into a scrap for the top 8. Bontempelli was used as a one-out forward for much of the Essendon match, to great effect, piling on 123 points, which could have been more had it not been for 2 goals, 3 behinds.

Coming down:
Gibbs BE 191
Dangerfield 188
Zorko BE 169
Merrett BE 156
Kennedy BE 154
Mitchell BE 139

Stefan Martin $458,100 (-$29.9K) AVE 99.6, BE 70 – Back to 50 hitouts on the weekend for the first time since Round 8. Martin has returned to decent scoring with 96 and 104 in his last two. Six of his eight games at the GABBA this year have yielded 100+. Brisbane play three of their last four at home: you’re welcome.

Coming down:
Kreuzer BE 137

Josh J. Kennedy $434,800 (-$97.4K) AVE 95.8, BE 66 – JJK has now kicked a bag of 6 in each of his last two games, albeit still failed to hit the ton (95 & 97). He is the 6th highest averaging forward, but due to the injury he sustained mid-season, he’ll likely be a POD for your side.

Coming down:
Greene BE 136
Franklin BE 134
Heeney BE 117
Yeo BE 110
