The Gifted Ones

Rustee has been a very busy boy of late. Here are his top ten players if he were a recruiter and didnt have a position specification:

1. Steven Coniglio – Elite midfielder, extremely good ball usage, is also a goalkicking midfielder. Plays like – David Swallow, Joel Selwood

2. Jonathan Patton – Key position player, great hands, very good kick, Won the AFL 2010 Life members scholarship. Plays like – Nick Riewoldt, Travis Cloke

3. Todd Elton – Key position prospect, can play forward/ruck/back, athletic, strong mark, aggressive. Plays like – Drew Petrie

4. Billy Longer – KPP, Dominant ruckman, ability to play forward, strong overhead. Plays like – Matthew Kruezer

5. Tom Mitchell (F/S Sydney) – Prolific ball winner, Fast, Great at the grunt work (in and under). Plays like – Marc Murphy

6. Chad Wingard – Goalkicking midfielder, likely candidate for M/F, Highly rated for his courage, Great verticle jump, skillful. Plays like – Joel Selwood, Patrick Dangerfield

7. Haydn Hector – Elite endurance (broke the Draft combine beep test record last year with 15.11 as a 17 year old), strong overhead, could be a chance for D/M, very good tagger/lockdown defender that still gets a lot of the ball. Plays like – Lenny Hayes

8. Shane Kerstan – His stocks wont be boosted at the champs as he isnt playing in them. Tall-medium forward, kicks bags of goals, very accurate, strong on the lead, good mark. Plays like – Brendan Fevola (without you-know-what), Matthew Pavlich

9. Sam Milne – Massive work rate, very good contested ball winner, great efficiency (SC gold). Plays like – Jobe Watson

10. Matthew Buntine – C/B, Plays as a marking/running back, good overhead skills, prefers back, not great endurance (something that needs to be worked on), great strength in one-on-ones, good leadership skills, has a mature body (could get early games at an AFL club). Plays like – Lindsay Gilbee, Sam Gilbert

Thanks Rus!
