A respectable score of 2570 thanks to Captain Mitchell and a big performance from Josh Kelly saw us win the ‘double chance’ game (Qualifying Final) in two Leagues and a further three Elimination Finals.  Still alive in five Finals Series…….great effort, Coaches! We could’ve pulled the trigger on Stef Martin to Grundy……..while it would’ve helped our Overall Rank, it wouldn’t have changed any of our Finals results so there’s a few mixed feelings there.  Results are below………

Luckily we didn’t bring in Gaff over the last few weeks so we’ve dodged another bullet there.  Martin to Grundy isn’t possible with one trade anymore so it looks like we’re sitting on two trades for the time being.  The TEAM as it stands now………..

At the time of writing there doesn’t seem to be any injury worries for the upcoming Round.  Any trades we’d be making would be luxury trades.

Any suggestions, Coaches?  Is there a trade you’d be making in this situation?  Upgrade Ahern?  Upgrade Mihocek?  If you believe there are changes to be made, enter them into the Forum.  Our Coaching Staff will judge the different scenarios using the Thumbs UP/DOWN function.  Any polls should be up on Friday morning. Thanks, Coaches!

** UPDATE at 8am on 10/8/18 **

No need to make any massive changes to the TEAM, I don’t see any convincing cases in the comments.  SO it’s just choice of Captain this week………

  1. No point trading this week unless there is a shock out. By the way, it looks like we would have won SCT8 with Grundy last week

  2. Depends what our overarching goals are really.
HOLD is probably the right call, but if it were my team, going for overall only, I’d be bringing in Lienert and Gruny for Mihocek at Martin.
With Austin back this week, should give enough cover to season’s end and would probably ensure winning semis this week and Prelims next.
THE TEAM looks solid as, and with those changes, dauntingly good for any opposition.
Totally understand HOLD though, given that there is bound to be more carnage.

  3. I notice its Stef v Brodie this week, so we could leave that luxury trade to the last minute, but it would require a downgrade. Love to know how our knockout sides look in head to head. Guess its best to protect those teams that are in prelim finals and not trade. I do like the look of mclean or hoff to menegola, especially given cats run home. Potentially would give us enough extra pts to not worry about Grundy.

    For all that…hold !!

  4. An option if the team is willing to trade is

    Out: S Giro, T Smith,
    In: J Petruccelle, K Lambert

    Out: S Giro, T Smith
    In: J Dawson, L Franklin/J Darling

Otherwise holding trades seems like a fine plan.
