Welcome back to the TEAM for 2019! Anyone visiting our site can have their say on the TEAM.
When you look at SuperCoach 2019, there are a few players who stand out on the RMT threads. Instead of placing these individuals in the normal voting process, it’s easier setting up the TEAM to give them a Free Pass into the starting line-up.
As every year, these players will only start for the TEAM in Rd1 if they are fit and named for Rd1…..and of course, they’ve been voted in by the majority! If a player is not given a Free Pass, they will still be available in the next voting process.
I’ve singled out six players this year for questioning……….
** Patrick Dangerfield (GEE) – a no-brainer, surely…….he’s in 66% of teams already
** Isaac Heeney (SYD) – the most popular starting F2 option behind Danger
** Sam Walsh (CAR) – expensive rookie but sure to get game time and a stack of pts
** Will Setterfield (CAR) – Not too many good forward rookie options and he looks set for a good season if he stays fit.
** Patrick Cripps (CAR) – Absolute Beast of a player who is very popular in most starting line-ups.
** Matt Crouch (ADE) – Has been tearing it up in pre-season, is a potential Top10 MID and is priced at just $550k.
So it’s up to you, Coaches………which of these players gets a walk-up-start into the TEAM for 2019?
Thank you for voting!

Hard to say no against a free pass for both Cripps and Crouch.
But honestly, there is enough competition for premium mids that we should put it to a vote.
So pumped! I loved The Team last year. Can’t wait to see who gets in. Very surprised Grundy didnt get a walk up start
Or Gawn
Grundy and Gawn have practically received a walk-up start from the poll on Saturday. 66%+ have voted for them as a ‘set&forget’ pair……so it’s pretty much pencilled in already………
Crouch>Dusty for an extra 12.5K
and that is why he should be debated
I know I’m in the minority. But heeney was a must have last year. I think he’s a solid SC player but nothing to get excited over. He’s consistent and you do want him for that at leased. But he’s not going to win too many head to heads off his own boot. If my opponent had him and I didn’t I wouldn’t be to fussed, unlike a macrae Gawn even Walsh(vs another rookie).
Like I said I know I’m in the minority, but I’m also in the minority thinking macrae is a must have. I’m not saying to swap the polls, I just don’t get the heeney must have status.
Only because he’s one of the few forwards with mostly upside.
He’s a solid pick but I wouldn’t say there is much upside there. I expect him to produce similar numbers to last year.
This year is the first time Heeney has had a full preseason.
He is also bound to get more midfield time than the last few years.
I can actually see a lot of upside.
Heeney is a lock / Free Pass in my book.
