The TEAM 2019 – MidPricers Poll #2

Written by Schwarzwalder on March 12 2019

Welcome back to the TEAM for 2019! Everyone on the site can share their input on the TEAM!

According to the first MidPricers poll, the best options are in defence (by quite a margin!) and then the midfield.  None of the following players are guaranteed a spot in the TEAM…….it will all depend on final TEAM structure, team selections and rookies.

So…….first off, we’ll take a look at the defenders ($215k – $420k)

Which DEF MidPricers would you consider for the TEAM? (three choices)

    1. Whether he can replicate that sort of form in the real thing is yet to be seen, but job security is very good with that one.

  1. Brad Crouch is such a weird price point. Picking him at 420k, you really need him to be top 10 for total success, and either way you’re likely holding him. All for a guy whose output hasn’t shown the exceptional or proven records of, say, Libba or even Rockliff.

That said, don’t pick Rocky. Maybe Libba. Never Rocky.

    1. I’ve got a sneaky suspicion that rocky could be champion datas pet this year. Port needs points to someone.

  2. I may be crazy, though I’m seriously thinking about Rocky. His best is VERY good, and he’s fit for the first time in 2-3 years.

    1. Looked good in JLT 2. Only question I have is he only had the 1 tackle (I think) whereas in the past he usually racked up 10 or more. But he scored 160 odd without the tackles so imagine what he can score if he starts tackling.

      1. Yeah, that’s the one stat that has me bullish. At his price I almost think you have to take the risk, he’s easy enough to corrective trade. But I would take him as m6 so long as he didn’t effect other lines too much or not take him at all .

  3. Don’t see the need for midpriced MIDs given there are loads of uber and discounted premos as well as at least 7 decent cows!
DEF and FWD midpricers however. Well that’s a different story!!

    1. Well alot of people are running only 4 deep in the mids(i’ve considered it) or taking miles, cousins and libba at m-5 or 6. So who can you put in at the best value to out score those guys without effecting your structure greatly? If rocky can be a top scorer for the M5-6 position that’s a win because if he does score it will be BIG or not at all. (also not a mid pricer, fallen premium(winky face)).

  4. No midpricer MIDs to my mind. Not in my team anyway. There are too many proven and discounted premiums; and at least 7 decent rookies to choose from. If we don’t NEED to go there, then should we?

DEFs on the other hand, I have 3. And 1 forward too

  5. Any swans supporters that can provide more info on Ryan Clarke. Was seen loitering in the midfeild numerous times. Was he lost? Or is there something else afoot.
