The TEAM 2019 Rd16

Written by Schwarzwalder on July 4 2019

Welcome back to the TEAM for another Round! Where all our Coaches can contribute to the TEAM………

ROUND FIFTEEN SUMMARY

The TEAM was about par for Rd15, climbing a thousand spots but only winning four of ten League games.  Sloane was a handy pick-up on debut for the TEAM while Stewart still has plenty of points in him…………..

CURRENT LINE-UP

After some heavy trading over the last 3-4 weeks, I’m a little stumped at the moment.  Probably best to wait a few weeks for some of our rookies to appreciate in value.

If you have any trade suggestions for Rd16 with the TEAM, you’ll need to put your application on the comments below.  The Coaching Staff will assess all scenarios with the Thumbs UP/DOWN function.

So if this was your line-up, what would you do next?

**UPDATE at 9pm on 4/7/19**

Not much we can do this week but get some cash in the bank.  Do you agree with the Burgess to Chol trade?

Do you approve of trading Burgess (GCS) to Chol (RIC) to generate a little cash?

  1. If Gawn misses, is it worth burning a trade on Cameron to Lycett and swinging him with Bines to cover the donut?

      1. Burgess – Chol (Choi)
        Cameron – Lycett
        Lycett to ruck via Bines
        Chol F6

        Scrap that not enough funds

  2. 7 trades does not leave much room for error however Burgess to Choi May be worth a risk.
Can then utilise Young to loop hole Cameron for Choi and bench cover for time being.

    1. Although PBuzz has given Chol a Vietnamese version of his, I agree. Probably worth jumping on.

  3. With little funds and no rookie really ready to harvest, maybe wait a week or two to strengthen D6.

  4. … and a poll to test the mood over Gawn if he doesn’t play.

TU – Conserve the trade and eat a doughnut this week.
TD – We need to figure out a way of avoiding the doughnut.

    1. If we’d gone Lycett last week then good, but we didn’t. With limited trades I think we have to cop it.
Surely it’ll be one week at worst. He’s a pro and wants to be out there smashing everyone and be an All-Australian again!?!

      1. Is it worth considering a different Ruc/Fwd other than Lycett? Such as Lobb (very faint rumors he may be back) or *gulp*Westhoff?

      2. Allsaints/coaches, what about if I have 9 trades? To avoid Gawn donut:

TU Fort > Ladhams – just for some points
TD Fort&Corbett > Bines&Lycett – have Worpel at F6 and happy to keep (one more week maybe…)

  5. It’s a proven fact that doughnuts are unhealthy for you.
If one of our emergencies ie, Young, Burgess or Gardner is playing, then Lobb for Gray DPP, we might just have enough, and hopefully fatten up our mids for a double trade for Whitfield in a week or two.
But it’s all speculation til we know selections……..and if I’m right about having enough money.

  6. Have to wait for selections, but Burgess to Chol for sure if he is chosen. I would then also downgrade O Baker (or Clarke/Bewley if either not selected), to build up cash for the Lloyd and Whitfield trades.
If Chol not chosen, Clarke/Bewley/Baker to Hayden from Nth, purely for the cash…….he does give dpp as well, then Andrews to Whitfield or Lloyd. This might be controversial, but who do we think is going to score most in the run home…Andrews or Whitfield/Lloyd….obviously get Lloyd if Whitfield not chosen, and to hell with the high be’s…we need the points !!

One comment for future years and I’m making it constructively rather critically, I think the kpp selections are biting us now…Andrews and Cameron. Sure, they have their moments, but these type players also have lengthy periods of mediocrity, unless your name is Franklin. I’d be interested in others views.

  7. Going to probably need 3 trades to get to Whitfield/ Hurn by round 19.

Funds required will be around $520,000 – $530,000 for one of the above with our two top cash cows in Clarke and Logue totalling around the $630,000 in three weeks.
Very tight with only $18000 in the bank.

    No trades this week.

  8. Cop the doughnut and just go Burges to chol to generate cash going to need 3 more trades downgrading clarke, baker and turning Louge into a premo Leaving three for LTi’s

  9. Ok……..

TU Gawnie will play but limited swapsies with Preuss
    or
TD He gets nationalised by a true Demon and doesn’t play at all!!!!!!!

  10. With both Baker and Bewley out, one of them should be cashed in to Cameron who is selected and has dpp. This will allow cash to go straight to Whitfield via Andrews next week That trade will only cost us about 10k by going early, but the extra points over 6/7 rounds will surely be worth it. We then skip r7 trades and reassess final d7 depending on cash.
We do the Cameron trade now to ensure we have two trades available going forward….just in case.
