The TEAM 2019 – Rd21

Written by Schwarzwalder on August 9 2019

Welcome back to the TEAM for another week!  Where the SCT addicts meet to discuss the movements of our Community TEAM………..

ROUND TWENTY SUMMARY

Not a terrible score last week but unfortunately, not up to SCT standard where 2500+ was about par.  As a result we’ve been knocked out of most of our major finals series’.  As it stands we’re still in one major finals series (semi final this week) and five minors.

Jeremy Cameron being out cost us some critical pts but everyone had their troubles last week and still scored well.

CURRENT LINE UP

OK Coaches………..I’m still on holiday so I’ll need to implement a trade strategy at short notice.  Get your trade suggestions into the comments below and the most popular option will be used (Thumbs UP/DOWN).  Don’t forget to vote on the C/VC poll for Rd21 either!

Should we complete the midfield?  Use Heeney as a swingman at M9/F7?  Or have you come up with a cunning plan?  Let us know below………

  1. With 3 trades (120k in the bank remaining) and Josh Kelly currently in my team, do I :

TU) Trade Josh Kelly to Treloar and Matt Crouch to Bontempelli, leaving me with 1 trade remaining but with Sicily in the backline and not too much left over to upgrade him next week if I make the prelim. Or

TD) Trade Kelly to Treloar /Bont and Sicily to Rampe? This would get Sicily out of the team but I feel like at this stage I’m going to get a greater output from having Bont over Matt crouch rather than having Rampe over Sicily with Matt Crouch still in the side.

It also seems like unfortunately I’m not going to be able to use the cash from trading Dylan Clarke as I’m going to only have 1 trade remaining next week..
    Feedback would be appreciated!

  2. Best use of the remaining trades would be to use Chol and Clarke to grab a F7/M9 allowing us to loop Cameron in the fwds or a fwd/mid in the mids.

Options range from C Wingard, S Menegola, D Mundy and M Robinson that possess fwd and mid status allowing them to loop with either J Cameron or I Heeney (via I Hill).

J Ziebell, J Westhoff and T Lynch (Rich) are non dpp options which could be looped with J Cameron leaving the mids as is.

S Higgins or B Cunnington could be options as well if we want to move Heeney back to the fwd line pushing Cameron to the bench.

  3. Adam it’s hard to keep up with all your wisdom.
I was just thinking about how to cover our weakest links or hold.
    ie def and ruck.
If we want to trade and have no fears about “soreness” then go for it, but I’m concerned about having no backup.
Is there a quick way for you to address our competition teams?, if you already have, then I “dips me (sic) lid” and will go with what ever you suggest. Cheers

    1. Extremely hard to try to cover both def and ruck as a viable solution could be

Out: M Chol (via R Gardner), D Clarke
In: J Carter (Freo def), J Westhoff (via R Gray)

But the main problem is Heeney and Gray are looped at M8 with J Cameron and the Hoff stuck at F5 and F6.

      1. Touché. I tried working with the same ins, but all my out combos fell short of cash. So when you ran past for the handball…….but I guess now we hold and hope the opps crumble coz they struggle with the pending “whethers”.

        1. Looks like we have proposed a lot of ideas for next week’s trades assuming none of the fielded side suffer any injuries between now and then.
