  2. Thanks for the teams Geeds And for all the experts advice on this page
    .
Just wondering if i can get some helpful advice here from anyone, am running 12th overall in s/c. I have 8 trades left and want to use 3 this week to cover byes and it will also finalise my team in full

1-Ellis out for Adcock/Waters or Shaw? Im leaning towards Adcock for a bit of extra cash
2-Hayes out for Selwood/Thompson or Swan- Hayes has been good but not great and time for an upgrade in the bye round
3-Hall out for Zorko- bit late to jump on the bandwagon but will provide a great 8th in forward line after byes and he is a gun, hall prob wont get many more games.

Please can i get your thoughts on the first two? I have the money for all the above but nothing really left over

  3. Looking at 8 donuts this week 🙁

0 in the forwards, 2 in rucks, 1 mid, 5 in the backs, not going to be a good weekend, atleast I have pretty much a full midfield and forward line which are my highest scoring positions with only one forward and two mid premiums on the bench, hopefully my forwards and midfielders can carry the load this week for me, will need some big scores though.

Pentleburry Stanton Mitchell Priddis Ablett emg Gibson Phiffer

  7. The problem is the players that are on extended benches or sitting in the emergencies list, could have 2 doughnuts or up to 6 ! Don’t want to be wasting trades at this stage of the season these bye rounds sure makes it interesting

  9. Thumbs Up:
    Ellis -> Waters/Adcock (this round)
Horsley -> Pendles when he comes back

    Thumbs Down:
    Horsley -> Watson (this round)
    Ellis -> Carrazzo / Scotland / Birchall (round 14 or 15)

  10. Hayden Crozier. Will he keep his spot under FURL, and will he perform?

Is he a good investment? Thumbs up or down?

  11. Gonna follow the crowd and downgrade a mid to Gibson.
Torn on Horse or Old Mac. Thoughts on best option (ignoring byes and breakevens, just going for best player to give bench cover)

    T/U – Trade out Horsley
T/D – Trade out Old Mac

  12. Is 4 trades left cutting it a bit fine? Full premium side apart from Lake, Ellis, Giles and Zorko.
3099 overall, i’m thinking getting the premiums in early may either push me right into the top 1000, or slump out to 15K
    Thoughts?

  13. whats the go with Duffield? surely he cant be overlooked again, he must be injured? Freo have lost a few players to injuries this week and he still doesn’t come in. Not even named as an emergency and it seems that Spurr is ahead of him. Something has to be wrong here, he is a key man to their defence…..

  14. Should I trade Treloar with a b.e. of 132 for Crozier, and gain a lot of profit even though his JS is high, or trade Kennedy for Crozier, and gain less profit, get rid of Kennedy’s shifty JS?

    Treloar (T/U)
    Kennedy (T/U)

  15. What’s everyone’s guess on Zaha’s return

Thumbs Up – back in 3 weeks or less
Thumbs Down – more than 3 weeks to go

  16. I’ve got both a long and short term dilemma here.

In the long run, what would be better for my team?

    Out: Treloar, Kennedy.
    In: M Johnson(Freo)/Cloke+100k, Crozier.
    8 Trades left.
    Out: Kennedy, Tomlinson, Smedts.
In: Cloke, Crozier, Whiley(GWS defender. Placed in the forward pocket this week. Big risk, but I cannot work these trades any other way.) I have no D/M DPP in my mids so I can’t bring Gibson in.
    7 trades left.

Both trades leave me with a small amount of cash

Sure, I’ll be taking a hit on Treloar’s price this week, and I’ll use up an extra trade with the second option, but aside from last week, Treloar has been scoring well enough. If he gets back to his old scoring habits, I could reconsider trading him out around round 18.

    My current team is.

Deledio, Scotland, Broughton, Goddard, Clarke, Golby, Ellis, S Shaw, Tomlinson

Swan, Ablett, Pendlebury, Dal Santo, Shuey, Priddis, Shiel, Adams

    Cox, Giles, Jenkins, Redden

Dangerfield, Martin, Hale, Franklin, Harvey, Zorko, Treloar, Smedts, Kennedy.

The first option will give me
Deledio, Scotland, Goddard, Broughton, Golby, Clarke, Ellis, S Shaw, Tomlinson
    Unchanged mids.

    Unchanged rucks.

Martin, Franklin, Johnson, Hale, Zorko, Harvey, Dangerfield, Crozier, Tomlinson.

    The second option gives me

Goddard, Deledio, Scotland, Broughton, Golby, Clarke, Ellis, S Shaw, Whiley.
Dangerfield, Cloke, Martin, Franklin, Hale, Harvey, Zorko, Treloar, Crozier.

The second option greatly strengthens my bench stocks at the cost of a trade, and I get less doughunts in round 13.

So gazing into the crystal ball, which future would be more fruitful?

    Tomlinson, Smedts, A Kennedy OUT
    Whiley, Crozier, Cloke IN
    Thumbs up
    Or
    Treloar, A Kennedy Out
    M Johnson, Crozier IN
    Thumbs down.

  17. Captain’s Choice:

Patrick Dangerfield thumbs up (Scored 175 at Etihad v Carlton)
Dane Swan thumbs down (Scored 160v Melbourne and 180v Essendon at the G) Might get a S Selwood tag though. And it would it be loyal as a West Coast to put Swanny as my Captain? Or is it just realistic.

Tough choices. Comment for anyone lese.

  18. All of Treloar, D Smith and A Kennedy are departing from my side in the next two weeks…but Im doing one upgrade next week……

So i should save A Kennedy for next week shouldnt I as he wont drop in price true??????
\m not concerned about the extra donut this week as Im no chance of winning

  19. Got Zaha, Coniglio, Treloar and Hargrave. 12 trades $100k and going for league wins, 3-4th in most.

Thinking Treloar out for Cloke, Hargrave for Darley (or other cheap def?) this week then Delaney up to Scotland next week and then work Coniglio/Adams/SShaw out to get Thompson and Suckling in, any thoughts?

    Def are weak currently Lids/Gods/Waters/Lake/Demps/Delaney/Hargrave/Shaw/Broughton

Also any thoughts on holding onto Zaha or Conigs would be good?

    Thanks all!

  20. Hey Guys
    Which trade is better?

    Treloar–Cloke T/U
    or
    Treloar–Pav
Milera–Gibson(need to do this trade to get enough cash for pav, also baring injury probs going to do this next week regardless) T/D

  21. Going away next week and no access to s/c after thurs for few weeks. need to get team settled and wanna get two prem’s next week.
Need to get gibson in this, but not sure for who:
T/U Treloar (high b/e and price likely to drop, but playing this week, will he get rested soon?)
T/D Pfeiffer (logical choice to stop donut, but j/s?, low b/e when comes back next week)

  22. Had planned Treloar to M. Johnson trade this week. However, as i will get easily beat in LoEC & should win cash league, wondering whether to save the trade? Any thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated as Smedts, A.Kennedy & Sexton probably enough rookies to worry about (Zorko, Treloar, S.Shaw & Ellis reasonably good cover) Rnd 14 team if all fit & i trade in M.Johnson: –

H.Shaw, Godd, Lids, Broughton, M.Johnson, Newman, Lake, S.Shaw (e), Ellis
GAJ, Pendles, S.Thompson, Priddis, NDS, Stanton, Adams (e), A.Kennedy
Cox, Giles, Redden, Hamling (DPP for Hale ruck cover)
Buddy, Sidey, Pav, D.Martin, Cloke, Hale, Zorko, Sexton (e), Smedts

If i don’t do Treloar trade, would still have 9 trades & 254K in the bank & would get Goodes, Prem Def, Carrots, Danger & / or Beams when they reach attractive prices. If i do trade, would have 85K & 8 trades left.

Thumbs UP: Use trade for Treloar to M.Johnson
Thumbs DOWN: keep trade (& trade out A.Kennedy to Carrots Rnd15)

Comment for Treloar & A.Kennedy out for M.Johnson & Crozier. Or any other thoughts.

  23. Trades are running low! Which combination should I work on getting over the upcoming weeks? First one is definitely achievable by bringing in Beams this week, Thompson next week, & Carrazzo the next (when both should be bottoming out).
The second open has me bringing in Swanny this week though!

Thumbs up – Thompson (Mid) / Carrazzo (Def) / Beams (Fwd)
Thumbs Down – Swan (Mid) / Carrazzo (Def) / Swan (Fwd)

To leave me with 8 trades and 400k in the bank.

    Thumbs up/ Thumbs down?

  26. Mids need some work:
Ablett, Selwood, Thompson, Watson, Coniglio, Horsley, Sexton, L Brown
Salary cap $389, 11 trades, going for league in which I am 8th, so need to win in medium term but also want to win finals. Fine with a doughnut or two this week though to get more wins over the journey.

Thumbs up: Coniglio -> Swan, save cash to upgrade Horsley to a super premium down the line.
Thumbs down: Coniglio, Horsley, Brown -> Priddis, J Kennedy, Gibson this week

  27. Alternatively, maybe Mitchell instead of Kennedy?
Thumbs up: Coniglio -> Swan, save cash to upgrade Horsley to a super premium down the line.
Thumbs down: Coniglio -> Priddis this week, Horsley, Brown -> Mitchell, Gibson next week

  28. Can I have a vote on this one please?

    Kennedy – > Crozier
    Hall -> Pavlich (thumbs up)
    or
    Treloar -> Crozier
    Hall -> Sidebottom (thumbs down)

First option saves me another doughnut this round

  29. I am trading Treloar out this week, I had hoped he would be an excellent D7 for the next month or so while I upgraded other lines but I just cannot stomach another single digit score. Some say it was just one bad week, some say it was just because of the wet … maybe, but have you seen the weather report for this weekend? Do you think Melbourne will give him a free run? I just cannot see it myself.

Anyway, this is the bullet I will be biting but it does leave me with a bench coverage option. My fwd bench cover will now be looking like being two of D.Smith, Sexton and Hall for the moment but I cannot see any fwd rookie prospects on the horizon. No Couch, maybe I need to grab Patton or hope Sexton/Hall come good? I am not sure.

    Anybody have any helpful thoughts?

  30. Thinking of burning 5 trades in the next two weeks (or three, waiting for Carrazzo), then sitting pat with my other 4 trades until I need them for LTIs or finals.

Out: Hargrave, Smedts/Ellis, McDonald, Giles, Treloar.
    In: Carrazzo, S. Shaw, Gibson/Crozier, NicNat, Dangerfield/Chapman.

    Would leave me with…
    5 prem DEFs, Lake D6, Ellis/S. Shaw/Smedts D7 and D8, permadonut D9
6 prem MIDs, 2 rookies on the bench with at least one being a MID/FWD DPP.
2 prem RUCs, 2 rookies (Redden & Stephenson)
    3 prem FWDs, 4 mid-pricers, 2 rookies on bench (Sexton+Couch or similar)

The Ellis vs Smedts choice is easy enough (keep Ellis if the budget allows). Plenty of other people have asked about Gibson and Crozier so I can piggyback off their answers. So I’ll ask the third question.

TU: Dangerfield (111 avg, 106 three rd avg, 29 stdev)
    TD: Chapman (106, 125, 24)
Comment: there’s something wrong with my plan

  31. Help needed. Turning myself inside and out.

Getting rid of Zaha and can’t afford Sidebum or Beams. So its down to these two.

    T/U – Goodes
    T/D – Chapman

Not so worried about this week. More about the end of the season and finals time.

    Whose the best bet long-term?
