    1. One day it will dawn over the Hawks that their depth is quite shallow with the lack of top draft picks over 2016/2017 and they will realise they should have played the ones they have more.

He is quite small, hopefully another week to rest up but not great signs after the bye.

      1. Yeah agree Hutta, first they say they need the next gen to take us forward, then they drop them. Both Cousins and Steward could be good inside players so give them an extended run!

  1. Can someone please place a hamburger at the Relton Roberts shrine in SC HQ to appease the king of SC rookies.

    1. McGovern will get the Beech spot, when he comes back. I think he needs another run in the SANFL.

Otten may be the unlucky one when McGovern returns. Not sure they can run with Walker, Jenkins, Lynch, Otten and McGovern in the forward line.

My preference would be Otten back to defence in replace of Hartigan.

  2. Will the Hawks try to tag Sloane and if so with who? Langford? Hartung?
Surely the Crows will try to tag Titch … he’s about the best the Hawks can throw at them … thoughts??

    1. Macca, for some reason the Hawks refuse to tag, even though it’s a proven strategy (Ablett, selwood) so Sloan will run free

      1. i seem to remember Langford doing a few tagging jobs last year … they could shut Sloane down, but as we saw last game, not much point when the rest of the Crows destroy the rest of the side …

For those with both Sloane and Titch, it’s an interesting call on who best to go with for the VC!!

    2. I think its pointless tagging Mitchell from a non-supercoach perspective, he gets it a lot, but is not quite as influential on an outcome as Hodgy is. I reckon thats why Selwood gets tagged by the best, rather than Dangerfield – Danger is awesome with the ball, but Joel is ‘Captain Geelong’ and the major influence they want to shut down IMO.

    3. Clarko is about the best coach in the AFL and it shows. He plays positive hard football using the best attributes of HIS TEAM. Unlike some negative boring so called OTHERS coaches who’s best tactics is to stop the opposition from playing by tagging their bests players. We love this game and go to the games every weekends to watch the best AFL players play great footy not to be bored with low scoring crap or see them injured or bullied (Gazza). The Hawks have proven that you can win titles playing good footy. And let the best SC guns score tons…then that’s just me.

  3. Will Brett Eddy ever get another game? โ€“ Last weekend Eddy booted 6.3 (Port only scored 9 goals as a team), along with 13 disposals and 8 marks.

      1. I went Sandi to Ryder the week he went down.

Even a sniff of injury and he was always gone.

        Helped my Byes enormously.

If I still owned 211, I would be finding a way to turn him into Gawn.

      1. The way things are going FURL will pull a curve ball move in one of the SC finals and bring Strnadica in at the last minute causing havoc to many SC teams.

  4. Trav Cloke has taken indefinite leave from the AFL to deal with mental health issues. All the best, Trav.

  5. With Z Jones & Scharenberg out, I face a donut in my backline. I can bring in J Lloyd & L Ryan by trading out Z Jones & Williamson
TU : Trade out both to avoid the donut
TD: Take the donut & only trade in J Lloyd for Williamson

    1. Stewart seems to like playing at home as the cats can out the squeeze on and their defenders seem to score well. He may be worth keeping for a bit longer.

But if that’s the only way to bring in Lloyd, then probably a good call.

      1. It is the only way that I can bring Lloyd in. It will mean that Newman is going be d7 and potentially traded down for cash in the future.

  6. Sandi has stumped me. Why didnt i pull the trigger as soon as he was out! Anyway want to bring in Gawn in 2 weeks regardless but is Sandi going to return next week? who knows i guess.

T/U – Sandi – Dusty (nank ruck, greenwood fwd on field) and trade Pepper – Gawn in 2 weeks (pepper on the bench anyway)

T/D – Pepper – Dusty (swign nank to cover sandi and greenwood fielded) and hope that Sandi is back next week?

  7. TU : Trade in Laird this week and miss out on Lloyd
TD: Trade in Lloyd this week and hopefully get Laird later

  8. Surprised about Shaz being dropped . Thought he was starting to look a little more comfortable and playing better . Was counting on him being solid cover . Ryan better be named on bench . At least Harbrow is back . The bloke owes us owners who took the punt on him a few tons !

  9. Well, this complicates things. When are the final Sunday teams announced? This is going to affect my decision making.

      1. I extra mad at myself for messing up last week, because having Gaz instead of Kreuzer now means a donut to deal with this week and a ruck issue as well.

Lloyd, not this week. I think to make sure I field 22, I end up going Barrett to Kreuzer via Yeo & Nankervis. Leaves Nank in the forward line where I have backups for both him and JJK, two rucks on the pitch, with 8 mids playing, 9 with Scooter, meaning 8. Way closer than I like but donuts bad. Probably going to have to do Stewart to Ryan even if Ryan is not named. Have to downgrade somewhere for the cash I’ll need the next few weeks. Probably bring in Lloyd next week still, so hoping he has a really bad match but does not get hurt. (Hate hoping guys do badly. Even Higgins.)

  10. So it seems Fyfe will miss at least this week.

No Sandi , No Fyfe. It could get ugly at Simons on sunday.

I need either Pickett or Bolton to miss their sunday games.

This will get me Greenwoods score.

Looks like I might need it!

    1. Cluster F**k

I can’t believe I’m mad Pickett and Bolton get a game.

Greenwoods 127 just sitting on the bench with the E and no reasonable way of getting it!

I’m starting get that same feeling like when I traded Newman, only to watch him go huge.

      DOH!
