  1. Geedz and Eagling, thanks for also having a crack but you’d have to be sitting by the fax machine at AFL House as the teams get sent to AFL HQ to beat PA. We don’t know how he does it, we’re just glad he does.

  2. Looking for help in the backline still.

Broughton out will give me $415k to buy either Hurn, Johnson or Fisher

    Backline is
Goddard, Deledio, Carrazzo, Scotland, H.Shaw, Dempsey, Yarran (Broughton, S.Shaw)

Think the Dempsey and Yarran combo is weak so upgrading Broughton to one of the above.

Hurn – highest average but in ordinary form
    Johnson – great run home
Fisher – hot form and good run home

    Which would you choose?

  3. With Porps out should I trade him? My cover is Sam Shaw (via swapping Tomlinson and M Johnson). This would leave me with no trades left but a full team. I would get Beams in for Porps.
    Trade Porps (UP)
    Don’t (DOWN)

  4. Add Roughhead to this list of Suspects.

Max Bailey on the ground, David Hale, Gunston sitting last named on the bench. They will not play Roughhead , Hale and Bailey Against PA. Gunston will play for sure.

  5. What a mess this week, Hmm time to go off and check my opposition team know he has Buddy like me, but I am pretty sure he has the porps, i Traded some time ago, that could be a real help when you are low on trades.

  6. Hearing rumours of Chappy not getting on the plane to Perth. So I will steer clear of him.

    Porplyzia out- who in?

    Fyfe, Riewoldt, Walker or Goodes

  7. If Chappy plays I might actually field my strongest team for the year (i.e. no donuts). Still haven’t managed to play my best 22 since finalizing my team in rd 13 (thanks mainly to buddy). Luckily A.Hall is definitely named and Pfeiffer is likely to play providing me cover for Buddy (and, if he doesn’t play, Chapman).

  8. There is something very, very strange going on with Buddy, you do not miss 5 weeks with a Hammy strain, he did not leave the ground against GWS with a Torn one like Higgins. The Medico’s today can have them back in two weeks. He needs match time, Port Adelaide, GCS ideal to get him going before Sydney and WC big games. Hmmmm I hope he has not done a Hodge.

  13. Buddy, Buddy, Buddy. Keep or trade? Elimination Final, 1 trade, $3000?
My current forward line is Dangerfield, Pavlich, Franklin, Cloke, Zorko, Sylvia, Saad.

    TU: Buddy > Beams
    TD: Keep him.

  15. Taylor Adams listed as out with a back injury. Anyone got any inside info on whether it is one week injury or are indications that he could be out for longer? Nothing listed on tinternet.

  16. With apologies to David Lee Roth (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lN-4lX0QyZc)

I’m just a supercoach and everywhere I go
People know the part, I’m playin’
Paid for every stud, sellin’ every dud
    Ooh, what they’re sayin’

There will come a day, and I will give it away
    What’ll they say about me?
When the end comes I know they’ll say just a supercoach
And life goes on without me

    ’cause
I ain’t got no Buddy, no Buddy cares for me
No Buddy, no Buddy cares for me
    I’m so sad and lonely
Sad and lonely, sad and lonely
    Won’t some sweet Sidey
Come and take a chance with me
    ‘Cause I ain’t so bad

  17. Franklin – Beams, and Ellis – Scotland are this weeks trades. Although it only leaves me with 1 MIGHTY trade left.

    No guts, No glory.

  18. Franklins not in so I’m trading out Swan to Thompson and Morris to Birchall.
Picked Thompson due to his run home and I think Birchall is underrated.

  19. who to field?
Lake on or off…. have Ellis or Shaw as reserves, so TU for Lake or TD put on reserve player instead.

  20. Roo Bloke. Glad Buddy is still out for another week. Still think you are 50 to 100 points ahead of me without you having to trade, therefore i need a fair bit of luck. Fingers crossed there are no late changes as it should be a good contest between us. I don’t want to double trade to get who i want as trades are low, T.Adams to Stevie J next week looking good.

  21. Geelong coach Chris Scott last night remained confident that despite missing the team’s flight to Perth that Podsiadly and Chapman would play, stressing they were catching a later flight.

  22. Got a couple of polls for who to play on field. Absolutely shattered I have to even consider these names for a first final but I guess it’s good to at least have some bench cover.

    TU – Shaw
    TD – Spurr

Both averaging around 75 and playing each other. I think Shaw will probably get more votes because he has been in the limelight a bit more than Spurr but keep in mind that Spurr knocked up a 99 to Shaw 89 last week. Shaw also would have struggled to get 50 if it wasn’t for some last quarter heroics.

    Thumbs away……….

  23. Poll 2:

    TU – Jarryd Redden
    TD – Orrensen Stephensensen

Leaning towards Redden with the Big O as emergency. O was really good early against the Hawks last week (crunt) but I reckon he’ll get monstered by NicNat and Massive.

  24. 5 trades left.

got Pfeiffer, T.Adams and Franklin all in forward line.

I need to make a trade.
I am a big fan of having 4 trades in the last 2 weeks due to resting an injuries of Premiums.
I am also sitting top 4 in all 5 leagues.

Thumbs up – T.Adams or Pfeiffer out – Cloke in (depends if Pfeiffer gets named)

Thumbs Down – Franklin to Beams

before you click Thumbs Down consider this… even though swan is out i think Beams will cop heavy Tag. Franklin will come back in score tons and be a unique player. Then cloke will be a reliable Emergency. and baring injury i am thinking Zorko to Beams in 2 weeks anyway.

  25. Burning question this week due to the Buddy issue – start with J.Eilliot or T.Dickson!

    T/U J. Elliot
    T/D T. Dickson!

  26. GEELONG has withdrawn Paul Chapman from the team to play West Coast tonight. (from herald sun website 2 minutes ago – see story below – no mention on Pods who also missed the 1st flight so maybe Pods travelled?)

‘Chapman was not on the flight to Perth yesterday with most of the players and the Cats made the call today not to place him on a second flight.

The forward is suffering from a minor calf complaint.

Geelong has not named a replacement for Chapman but it will be one of the three emergencies named last night: Mitch Brown, David Wojcinski and Jordan Schroder.

The Cats have already lost Josh Hunt (quad), James Kelly (groin) and Billie Smedts (calf) from the side that defeated Hawthorn last weekend’.

Get money on Freo to pull an upset!

  28. Interesting dilema for you guys to have a look at

MID: GAJ, J.Selwood, Pendles, Priddis, JPK, Mitchell (Barlow, Gibson)
FWD: Danger, Beams, Lewis, Martin, Zorko, Chapman (Franklin, Crozier)

I’m not trading Buddy so these are the two options:
Option 1(T/U): I can do the obvious and trade Chapman to Fyfe. Leaves me with no MID/FWD Link but Chapman could be out for 3-4 weeks (entire fantasy season).
Option 2(T/D): Other option is to trade Barlow to Fyfe then have a MID/FWD link so can swap Chapman/Crozier to the mids and use Gibson as mid reserve.

    Thanks a lot

  29. No champman, keeping frnaklin should be back next week hoping im still in finals

    TU Goodes
    TD Walker

    1k short of Johnston =[

  30. Curse your stupidity, Dane Swan! Brought you in LAST WEEK at close to top dollar, a 97 and then a two week vacation!
Current midfield as follows; Ablett, Pendles, Swan, Priddis, Boyd, Hayes (Gibson, Crozier-inj) with 2 trades left and 70K in the kitty.
Weak links are Cloke and no forward bench cover (due to Porps inj), also Sam Shaw in D7.
    T/U – Swan – Watson/Selwood
T/D – Hold trades this week and play Gibson at M7
Comment for further suggestions. Double chance in all three leagues but I’m really nervous about losing two of these now.

    Cheers

  31. I am genuinely stuck on who to play on the field out of Devon Smith and Dusty Martin so let’s throw this one to the people and see what they say:

    Thumbs up -> Dusty
    Thumbs down -> Devon Smith

    Cheers!

  32. Andy, just the kind of lateral thinking I was looking for. Picked up Goodes a few weeks back but Fyfe could be my man.

  33. 2 Trades left. Potentially about to blow both of them.

    1. Dane Swan > Scott Thompson
    raises 100k for:
    2. Taylor Adams > Steve Johnson (Franklin + Chapman + Adams = Donut)

    Would leave final side as:
Deledio, Carrazzo, Goddard, Lake, Suckling, Yarran, Newman, S.Shaw, Yagmoor

Ablett, Pendlebury, Thompson, Priddis, J.Selwood, Dal Santo, Martin, Gibson

    Cox, Mumford, Redden, Campbell

Pavlich, Franklin, Harvey, Chapman, Zorko, O’Keefe, S.Johnson, Goodes, Crozier

Backs is obviously the weakest line, whilst the rucks could be an issue if Cox/Mumford don’t play every game from here on. Mids and Forwards have more than adequate cover. The only thing holding me back from Thompson is his recent form and his last game against Fremantle (58, tagged by Crowley), but having no Adelaide premiums has me worried for Rd23 (GF) against Gold Coast. Steve Johnson has the potential to go massive at Simonds Stadium, (Geelong’s venue for their final two games) so I like him as a selection. He’s also averaged 115.9 since Rd6 if you take out his concussion game.

I’ve got the double chance in all 4 leagues.

Thumbs UP: Go ahead with the trades
    Thumbs DOWN: Re-think, MJ.

  34. Got one trade left, and might use it.
The trade is Ellis >> Waters
That would make my team fully upgraded, with some okay backups including S.Shaw, Smedts, Gibson, Stephenson, Cloke (When Buddy comes back), and Pfeiffer.

  35. I just finished my negotiations with the supercoach gods..
They told me if i postition Roughy, he will play…
I also must trade Stanton to Mitchell, as he will score 187 aganst port,
To not stray from Ablett as captain, as he himself is a god,
I must change my team colours to nothing but pink,
I must drink nothing but beer & eat nothing but poptarts until sunday evening and i will be rewarded with a win and some of those little candies shaped like stars

  36. Narrowed my Callan Ward replacement down to a few.

    Honourable mentions:
    Boomer is tempting
Walker would be a left field choice but has an easy draw
Nathan Jones has raised his bat in 7 of his last 8 matches

    But i’ve looked elsewhere:
    Thumbs Up: Marc Murphy
    Thumbs Down: Scott Thompson
    Comment: Matthew Boyd

Think i’ve made up my mind but i’d be interested to see what the thumbs say.
