Whoever wants the 12 month subsription to SCT along with unlimted praise from Motts, Duck, myself and our millions of readers will be the person who gets the teams up in the comments first as they are released.
Thanks PA…. all hail PA the information superhighway.

Mummy back in!!!
thats the stuf!
What to do? I have Dickson but the only person I can afford that has played is Jackson Paine… Is it worth trading him in or should I not trade at all or should I make 2 trades to be able to afford Terry Milera?
Don’t trade – Thumbs up
Bring Jackson Paine – Thumbs down
Make 2 trades – Comment
What does Tommy Couch have to do to get a game at Melbourne???
Dominates the seconds for weeks and weeks running and even after Melbourne cop a 100+ point drubbing still can’t crack it for a game…
Melbourne are up the creek if you ask me, if they are serious they can’t surely drop Davey for one week and then bring him back one week later. At least they had the backbone to drop Green.
Broughton named on the Ball. Good sign i suppose.
Is it worth replacing Dickson with Couch?
Big question probably on everyones mind who went the 1-3 ruck stratergy. Giles or Redden? Giles versus the two big men from West Coast plus having Brogan back in. Or Redden against the sole bigman Mummy.
Thumbs up Giles
Thumbs down Redden
superfooty.com says mumford is in team but “unavailable”???
whats that mean?
with broughton named on ball what are people’s thoughts on him?
thumbs up- trade him out, named on ball in previous weeks and didn’t play that role
thumbs down- keep him going to smash 100+ this week
Hey guys/gals why doesn’t the sc app let u do a double trade. Eg. I want to trade a midfielder, then push burger into mids. The website does it but app not. Anyone have this problem?
Hey guys/gals why doesn’t the sc app let u do a double trade. Eg. I want to trade a midfielder, then push burger into mids. I have him in the backline. The website does it but app not. Anyone have this problem?
Taken from the Melbourne website live chat session after the teams were announced, supporter asked about slow backline and why no Tom Couch…
“On Tom Couch, he’s not going to play back, as he’s a midfielder, but he’s performing consistently as a VFL player. He’s making huge inroads. He’s definitely knocking on the door.”
What does everybody think of Dustin Martin? I was thinking of axing him early. Thumbs up yes, thumbs down no.
Also are people of the opinion that they should get the best rookies in at all costs? It seems that the premiums
are far more expensive than last year and average rookies aren’t going to generate enough cash to upgrade?
The Noughton issue!!!!!!
Concerned about his role rather than his ability. Mundy in, Barlow full game, Neale to come in mids perhaps,Duffield attacking back man thinking of breaking the golden rule and trading sideways( although Silvagni in emergencies could eventually release him a little)…
Not going to Dempsey, 3k short of Birchall which I’m happy about cause it makes my choice easier
Thumbs up – Broughton to Carazzo
Thumbs down – Keep him trades are gold never trade sideways
gona trade
Pfeiffer (port)
for
Thumbs up milera
thumbs down stanley
comment for PORPLYZIA
Dunno if this is happening to anyone else but i’m getting teh mobile version of the site on a pc 🙁
Looking at trading boak, best options?
Priddis out with a quad
http://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/afl/west-coast-eagles-leave-out-darren-glass-matt-priddis-and-matt-rosa-for-clash-with-gws/story-e6frg1xu-1226325192031
ive got Dickson and Wilson both omitted i will defianately drop 1 but ill wait to see if mummy pulls up ok tomorrow if he doesnt out goes Mummy in comes 211 out goes wilson in comes Kennedy. But if mummy pulls up ok dickson will be out for Milera.
Koby Stevens named on an extended bench. Think might still trade him, his form has been fairly avg in the wafl.
Not sure who to have playing because i think shiel will get a full game:
thumbs up – Coniglio
thumbs down – shiel
thinking about trading out a forward like Dangerfield or Pavlich to get a midfielder like Stanton or Kennedy and hoping that their cash will rise. Still unsure on what my best option is.
Thumbs up- get cash cow
Thumbs down- stay put
please comment on what i should do.
is broughton out for bock a good move orrr?
thumbs up/down
Hi guys,
Thinking of putting the C on Deledio as could be in for a big score this week against Melbourne.
Is it worth taking the risk or be safer with Ablett?
yoy guys think milera will be the sub??
I was all ready to trade out Hall for Milera, but now Dickson is dropped I don’t know what to do! I’m not happy with Dickson, Hall or Cripps, but from what I’ve seen I think Hall has the lowest scoring potential out of the three. But who knows when Dickson will make it back into side.
Trade Dickson: Thumbs up
Trade Hall: Thumbs down
Trade Cripps: Use telepathy
With 1 trade to burn, im unsure of what to do?
Both the mighty Yagmoor, and Tory Dickson aren’t playing (albeit they’re on my bench)
Which one should I trade out?
Thumbs up – Yagmoor, Mohr would be a good replacement and has good JS, despite being a Key Position Player.
Thumbs down – Dickson, Milera looks okay, though as a small forward, his numbers may vary, questions over JS?
Hey guys i just have a question when you pick your emergencies are you able to pick 2 in the one position for example if cox and Mumford are late withdrawals and i put the emerg on redden and giles will they both come into play.
Has anyone actually watched both of the Saints games? GG?
What style of game is Milera playing. Is his scoring maintainable or did he just have a free run against two soft teams?
Sigh, woosha WTF why rest priddis? Anyone think it’s worth a trade? Please talk me out of it!
Thumbs up Bouman to Bugg
Thumbs down Bouman to Bugg AND Priddis to M Murphy
Mumford ➡ NicNat
&
Broughton ➡ Goddard
Thumbs and thoughts?
Who should i make captain
Thumbs Up Cox
Thumbs Down GAJ
Comment- Murphy,Buddy,Joelwood,Pendles,Goddard
Only looking at the one trade.
Tom Ledger (17 last week in 1st game & big sub potential) to Toby Greene who is on the bubble & due decent rise + good JS.
Thumbs Up – Trade Greene in, Ledger out.
Thumbs Down – Hold tight,
Shane Mumford; Trade him out or not?
Thumbs Up – Hold – Proven Gun, Don’t let a little back problem fill you with doubt.
Thumbs Down – Trade – Major concern, Grab Sandilands whilst you can!
Cheers 🙂
I’ve decided to give Golby the flick – money’s a bit tight, already got Dempsey, so looking at either Marty Clarke for $170k with an average of 71.50 or J Geary for $213k with an average of 91.50. What does everyone think?
Thumbs up – Clarke
Thumbs down – Geary
Should I make the trade from Pfeiffer to Milera or save the trade as Pfeiffer may play soon?
dickson out milera in? please help!
Got rid of Tomlinson and brought in Milera
Got rid of Dickson, moved Hale to forward line and brought in Kreuzer
Decent moves you’d think?
No trades this week (if Mummy isn’t pulled out tomorrow).
Main advice for the weekend: Put an emergency in your rucks.
Can’t decide which one to go for, help!
Thumbs up:
Montagna for J Kennedy
Neale for A Kennedy
Thumbs down:
Hale for Tomahawk
Zorko for A Kennedy
Which one to give the cop?
Cunningham (played one game and scored 5 and named as emrg)
thumbs up
Couch (could be knocking on the door shortly)
thumbs down
Duff out for rance, keeping broughton
Pfiefer out for milera
Thoughts?
Didn’t make any trades last week so feel like smashing the T button.
Can’t decide…
Option 1 – Thumbs Up
Dump the 202 ruck strategy? Currently have Cox and Mumford who are both giving me heart tremors this week while the rookies sit fattening quickly on the bench. With $66K extra already in the coffers, downgrading one of these big galoots for a cheap ruck rookie would enable the mother of upgrades, from a cheap rookie to a gun midfielder.
Cox > Rowe (RUC/FWD)
Ledger > Pendlebury
Option 2 – Thumbs Down
Fine tune the rookies and keep the faith in the tall timber.
Dickson/Hall > Milera
Boumann > Mohr
Omen I’d dump a ruck and get Kruezer. He is $200k plus cheaper and will average the same.
I’m trading cox for Kruezer, bringing in GWS Kennedy for Dickson, cashed up for next week or two to grab an extra premium.
Motts do you reckon we could have a captain’s poll? Anyway, for skipper:
Gary Ablett (vs Essendon – last time 96 vs the Dons) – Thumbs Up
Jobe Watson (vs Gold Coast – last time 122 vs the Suns, very quiet) – Thumbs Down
Hey guys & girls
Bouman to mohr thumbs up
Or
Bouman to Morris thumbs down
Cheers in advance
Who to start on the ground?
Thumbs Up – D.Shiel
Thumbs Down – S.Coniglio
Which trades should i do?
Thumbs up – G.Broughton for C.Dempsey
S.Coniglio for J.Watson
Thumbs down – G.Broughton for S.Hurn
Big headaches this week with trades. What do you guys think of these trades?
1. Kreuz in for Cox
2. Greene in for Michelle Pfeiffer
Use the rest of the money to upgrade a rookie in a few weeks time
want milera for either dickson or pfeiffer….
Thumbs Up > Trade Dickson
Thumbs Down > Trade Pfeiffer
Hi guys, noob question.
Is the player named last on the interchanged the sub?
Can anyone explain why I have a team value of $9,973,400 with $45,500 in the bank when prices haven’t changed?
Hrm… Trading Broughton because I’m bound to lose money on him, it’s now or never (well quite a few weeks at least if I do keep him)
T/U- Broughton to Deledio –> Coniglio to Smith in order to fund it??
T/D- Broughton to someone cheaper= one trade only.
Broughton – Geary
Dickson out
D smith to fwds
J Kennedy (Syd) into mids
U like??
Hi guys,
Considering two trades this week.
Pfeifer —> Milera
Dickson —-> Porps
Thumbs up Yes
Thumbs down No
Have settled on: grimes>Clarke ….neale>masten
How longs priddis ment to be out for?
OUT: Heath Scottland and Couch
IN: Hargrave and hawkins
It seems very make or break my team… i don’t like it myself, wanted to see what SCT thought,
Thumbs up do it
Thumbs down, DAFUCK
I had already made my 2 trades and after reading all the q’s and comments above I am of course second guessing myself. I changed Hall to Malleria and Mummy to 211. My finger is very wobbly over the reverse trade button. When will we know for sure that Mum has made the trip to SA?
To market, to market to sell a fat Broughton …
To market, to market to buy a …
Carrazo, Hurn, Birchall, Malceski, Burgoyne, Suckling, Geary, Heppell, Yarran, Dempsey, Clarke, Bower, Mohr
So many options and so little time until lockout.
So here’s my thought process:
1. Broughton out. I’ve seen all the fors and againsts, but for me I was picking him as a keeper for the end of the year with the anticipation of 90+ scores. Broughts is a great player and will churn out great scores, possibly even next week, possibly with or without midfield time, but I think I will be continually thinking about trading him throughout the year which means I don’t have the certainty in a premo that I thought I had. And, if I do revisit the trade decision it will never be at his current price again (IMHO).
2. If I take on board the wise words from here and other forums, it is stick to your strategy. My strategy at the start was Guns and Rooks, with two exceptions (Lake / Porps). And I don’t want any more exceptions. There are some tasty midpricers, but they are all a gamble based on 2 games – if they don’t reach and maintain premo status by years end then it is still two trades. I already have Lids and Goddard (and Shaw), so I am leaning towards Birch or a Rook.
3. I am mainly looking for League wins so this week is important. A Gun may be better level of certainty than a Rook.
I’m thinking Birchall, and be done with it.
Thoughts ? or Thumbs ?
may be a n00b move here but i dont want to miss out of pendels
TU – Boyd to Pendel & Bourghton to Dempsey/Malceski
TD – Bourghton and Smedts for Dempsey and Malceski
leaning towards option 2 but not sure :/
or Comment if i should get rid of boughts and martin seeming they have HUGE BE’s…
Priddis out…..diaster! !!
He joins Hodge in casuality for me. 1.1 million injured.
Still I will take a hit as they are part of the long term future at my club.
Traded in dempsey and St Nick and don’t want to give them up.
I will take loss this week to keep the long term plan alive. Ouch.
keeping broughton. 🙂
watch him kill it against brisbane this week at pattersons stadium, he will pump out a 100+ score.
not with his sh!t shut down role he wont
Dickson ….
Not really sold on Milera as worthy of a trade, especially seeing his name in the dreaded 4th bench spot (history shows that this player often gets the vest).
Thinking that it may be wiser to hold on for a week and look elsewhere. On the horizon we may have Kerridge, Treloar (both named in extended squads) plus Couch and Pfieffer.
Already have Kennedy, Smith, Hall as fwd rookies.
Thumbs Up: Dickson >> Milera
Thumbs Down: Hold the trade with an eye on Kerridge, Treloar, Couch and Pfieffer
Testing the waters.
Broughton out – Marty Clarke in
Pfieffer out – Brad Ebert in
Leaves me with $124,000+ in the kitty to upgrade in the future.
Cant decide
thumbs up for Kennedy
thumbs down for Greene
Thumbs up Cunningham out Kennedy in one trade
Thumbs down Above trade plus PAine out Hombsch in two trades
So is it worth burning an extra trade to get a rookie on the bubble in and Paine out who’s annoyingly played two games and gets dropped? But he probably won’t get back in at least for a while.
Broughton and Couch for Hurn and Milera
good-up
bad-down
cheers
Thumbs up – J Kennedy
thumbs down – Stanton
It think keeping Hodge is a good idea. Shane Crawford reckons hiss up for a top 5 brownlow finish. If ever gets on the ground that is.
thumbs up: gollby to adcock +maric to giles
thumbs down: golby to bugg + rowe to giles (147k change)
So it looks like priddis is the first big name rested……bastards.
Can anyone advise if they have had any luck doing this type of multiple position trade
Trading out a defender – Bouman
Want to then move Tomlinson to back line from forward line
Smith from mid field to forward line
Then trade in Magner to the mids
Tried to do this but only lets you change an MPP player once before you have to bring in a new player.
If anyone has had any luck would be great if you could let me know, otherwise will just trade out Tomlinson, put Smith in forwards and bring in Magner.
Cheers
Still not sure what to do, I have both duff and broughts. Trade one or both or just ride the wave and leave them for another week?
Demon of darch (sct1)
In: Bugg
Out: Boumon (omitted)
Summers Superheros (scttl)
In: Scott selwood, milera
Out: Saad (gone missing), Brown (no chance of playing this year)
Who To start as M6 C.Smith, Shiel or Ledger?
I’m in a bit of a pickle. With Dickson and Nathan Wilson dropped this week I am without a forward bench player and am concerned that neither of these guys will either play much more or increase much in value (Wilson is tipped to drop in value from $113K!). Anywho, I only have $3K in the bank and am thinking of making two trades. What do you think i should do?
Thumbs up – Trade Mohr and Wilson to Hombsch (to free up $) and Milera
Thumbs down – Hold fire
Cheers
Hey guys, just another poll.. thanks a lot!
Treloar >>> A.Kennedy
Pfeiffer >>> A.Kennedy
Got the rookies mostly right pre season, so no trades to this point (have Morris, Ellis, Clarke, (Lake), Macdonald, Shiel, Kennedy, Magna, Giles, Redden, Cameron, D Smith, Hall) so no real need to trade, considering this, would you burn ONE to swap Mummy for Sandi?
Thumbs up: Burn the trade, you know you want to!
Thumbs down: Hold fire, you picked him for a reason.
Thoughts on Geary?
Rance (thumbs up)
Dempsey (thumbs down)
Dont have confidence in either two really but if I want to bring in Kennedy for Cunningham I will need to make some type of change. Broughton will be going
TU – Bourghton and Smedts for Dempsey and Malceski
TD – Boughton + (dangerfield or sidebum) for Goodes and Malceski
Thoughts?
thoughts on this trade?
IN: Carazzo (or Birchall) and Milera
OUT: Broughton and D.Smith
i’d rather trade out dickson instead of smith, but i would only have enough cash to swap broughton over to someone like suckling, rance, murphy, heppell, etc. I have a lot of GWS players so i think losing one may benefit my team, but if i can keep him and get rid of dickson i will have more depth and a better cash cow.
thumbs up- Good trade, keep it that way.
thumbs down- Bad trade, better off going
OUT: Broughton, Dickson
IN: Rance, Milera and $30K in the bank
Cox to 211 (i also have mumford)
Thumbs up: Trade
Thumbs down: Cox will come good
Comments for trade to different ruckman like mcevoy, kreuzer, nicnat etc
do u think its worth taking a punt with puting milera on field?? think he will be wearing the vest this week since hes named on bench??
Thumbs Up Put him on field nothing to worry about
Thumbs Down Watters is going to give him some new attire this week
Guts & Glory – Round 3
B – Goddard, Deledio, H.Shaw, G.Broughton, Hargrave, P.Davis, Bugg
(Ellis, Morris(EMER))
C – Ablett(C), Boyd, Selwood(VC), Coniglio, Magner, Caddy
(Shiel, Ledger)
R- Mumford, Giles (Redden(EMER), Stephenson)
F – Franklin, Fyfe, Gray, Martin, Dangerfield, Porplyzia, A.Kennedy
(D.Smith(EMER), Smedts)
Billie Smedts and Matty Stokes late withdrawals.
just read in the paper that the last time Freo played the lions, broughton got 32 possessions and kicked 2 goals…
For all those punters looking at replacing Broughton with Carazzo, be prepared for a wild ride beginning tonight.
In his last 2 games v Pies he has scored 47 & 35 tagging Shaw and Swan respectively. Like Broughton, he will get defensive roles throughout the season.
Similarly, Hurn will get lock down roles and be forward tagged causing his standard deviation to be high.
To me the only viable sideways option is Birchall from a league perspective and the Rd 13 bye adds weight to the popular “dive” strategy.
Disclaimer: I have Broughton and am keeping him.
I gotta keep syaying to myself I will not trade priddis I will not trade priddis I will not trade priddis I will not trade priddis I will not trade priddis
Thinking of shifting ruck strategy from 2-0-2 to 1-0-3
TU – Cox>>Stephenson, N Wilson>>Goodes
TD – Just leave the trade button alone!
thumbs up- Sam.B Reid
thumbs down- Taylor Walker
Trade Pfeiffer or Smedts for A. Kennedy
Thumbs up Pfeiffer
Thumbs down Smedts
or in comments no tade at all
is pfeiffer worth keeping, will he play. worth trading for milera???
UP trade
DOWN hang onto pfeiffer
oh sheeeeeeet
the pressure of the final moments before lockout
