What’s everybody’s stance on Shaw? Out for a couple I heard on the radio, hasn’t done much yet and on the way down. Worth a trade?
Thumbs up YES
Thumbs down NO
Sorry if this is the wrong thread!
I have a feeling that all you coaches out there with Fyfe in your team will be none the wiser tonight about whether he will play or not.
I reckon regardless he will be named to play allowing Freo the maximum time to make a decision on his availability.
Leaving you with a last minute Friday night dash to decide when final teams are announced.
I hope for all your sakes this isn’t the case as with all the other players missing this week we have enough on your Supercoach plates.
Match of the round west coast v hawthorn and channel 7 don’t show the side. U SPUDS
Couple of big outs… No Redden and no Clay Smith

Pfiffer in too
Dempsey hamstring is fine?
Paine back in for all the doubters
I thought they may rest Greene and Clay … annoying!!
AND what is going on at Collingwood?!
Anyone know whether Fyfe’s shoulder pop was as bad last year as this year?
Priddis, Paine, Couch (extended bench) all listed as Ins so I have coverage for Shaw and Lake in the back and am going to risk it by keeping Fyfe… no trades for me… happy with that. Only issue, Ellis on extended bench.
Need help.. basic question
Fyfe and Dempsey, keep em’ or trade em’?
GAJ …. this is the week skipper. Just need a lazy 225 from you so i can double that to 450. Not asking much of you but with Lake, Shaw, Ellis on extended bench, Smith, Redden, Fyfe ….. well, i need you to step up and just do it all yourself.
Thanks mate
Malceski will play surely..
Trade in:
Fisher – Thumbs Up
Hurn – Thumbs Down
Rance – Comment
Well let’s hoping old Macdonald doesn’t get the green vest as he is the last named on the bench. He has to start for me, with Greene and clay being dropped / rested.
Can’t see old Mac being the vest being old and slow and all that… Not the running player to be the sub…. That said they will be 100 down by the 4th so who cares who the sub is.
Hey Guys. I’m in this week. can’t wait to help out your teams. xox
Collingwood tanking already
Just when you think you have everything sorted. Then they go and do this to you.
Bit disappointed Couch and Walsh didn’t get named though
So I have Lake, Shaw, Ellis, and Birchall (who has been named at least) in the same back line. So glad I kept Broughton! Thank the SC gods its only DT!
Hey guys, I’m going to not trade Shaw and keep him on the pine for two weeks, so I have to pick who will be my final defender.
B.Ellis (Thumbs up)
Tomlinson (Thumbs down)
seriously………what the #$*@ is michael voss on? drops the rd1 rising star, gives longer the flick to go into a game with hudson as our only ruckman, and black is in after only missing 1 game with a broken hand?
ive seen some silly in and outs by this bloke, but this is a joke. gcs by 3 goals, voss to be sacked after the game. any odds on that?
Hate sc gold. Quote. “Brian lake is playing Melbourne next round. Historically he doesn’t score well against them”. Fark me why would anyone pay $19.95 for the useless junk software. He ain’t even playing.
Going to point out all these rookies that have been named to come in.
Neale, Dell’Olio, Pfeiffer, Walsh, Couch & a bunch of others.
Keep an eye out.
But now I’m wondering what I’ll do with Shaw, I don’t exactly have cover for him to go missing..
Get around Lachie Neale!!
Dempsey is playing, but no Redden, Clay Smith and Smedts didn’t get recalled, hmm
and Dusty Martin, last chance to prove yourself!
Motts, Duck or BS
Is there any chance we could have a poll for Heath Shaw. The options being Keep or Trade. I think it would be useful since so many people have Heath.
Thanks
Do people think Ellis will play or not? Will cop a donut if he doesn’t…..
what do you guys think will ellis play and get the vest/ not play this week since hes named on extended bench or everything will stay the same as the past 3 weeks?
Pssst… PA, wanna buy a watch?
Hey guys,
What’s your thoughts on trading Fyfe > Treloar?
Want to pocket some cash for an upgrade to Pendles in 2-3 weeks.
Just a bit worried about Treloar’s job security.
hey guys
just wondering who you think to start
T.Milera – T/U
A.Hall – T/D
Cheers 🙂
Just wondering if Nathan Buckley is foxing with both Daisey and Heater, considering they have a 4 day turn around for the Anzac clash? He might be ‘resting’ them against a perceived lesser team in Port, so they are cherry ripe for the big clash against the Bombers. Just a thought????? So you might think they are both out for 2 weeks but do not be surprised if they are in for Anzac clash. The Pies might be going into damage control early with all their soft tissue injuries and resting players. They do have a history of ‘resting’ players……can you spell Arizona?
For anyone with Jarrad Redden of Port. His mid / ruck coach Shaun Rehn said on 5AA radio that he was very flat at training today either from overwork or teh start of a virus so they sent him home to rest up over weekend (he will not play in SANFL). Rehn stated he is very likely to return next week as part of 2 man ruck team. With Longer not named people unlikey to trade Redden for Longer, but thought it prudent to pass this info on as he will still get games.
SCTTL anyone?
After some early rookie re-shuffling only have 21 trades left. Had a win in the first H2H to put me in the Top 8. Happy with the overall at 6,393 and holding down 1st in SCTTL3 by total points.
This week, Shaw, Lake and Ellis in DEF. Will definitely cop a doughnut, possibly two if Ellis misses out. Thinking Shaw > Carrazzo to sure up the backbone.
Fyfe in the forward line…thinking to hold onto him in my T1 but thinking why not have a crack with the tech team… Thinking Fyfe > Lewis
Thumbs Up – Just do it. Burn 2 trades and get some nice early PODs baby!
Thumbs Down – Do the Shaw thing and hold your Trades at #20.
Any other thoughts?
Pendlebury Captain over Ablett this week!
Risky?
Does anybody have any knowledge about the Smedts injury? When is he due back?
Imagine… A section each week for everyone who wants to hold a poll!
This way, we can separate the people wanting a quick answer over who to trade/start/captain, and those people seeking further supercoach knowledge with an opinion from the SCT community.
Just a thought.
have shaw, lake and smedts so better copping a donut or making a trade??
Thumbs Up > Trade (thinking lake of the 3)
Thumbs down > Cop the donut
Trades done and dusted;
Fyfe out for treloar. (looking long term, can’t trust the shoulder)
J.redden (port) out for sandilands!
Now have my rucks set for the year as I already have kreuzer, Giles as my perma emergency, and the big ‘o’ for a rainy day.
Thumbs up: good upgrade, sandi is a must have!
Thumbs down: you assclown, why waste trades.
K
Is the supercoach website down!? Haven’t been able to access it for a while now. Just wondering if its just me?
Just a friendly SCT community service announcement here,
In case you were thinking of tuning into ‘The SuperCoach Show’ televised on the FoxFooty channel every Thursday night… DON’T!
The advise they dish out is absolutely woeful! It seems that a lot of so called ‘experts’ on the show think SC is purely about player’s monetary value (likening it to the stock market if you like) and trades are valued at next to nothing, to be throwing players in and out of your side like it’s still preseason!
Don’t even get me started on ‘Coach Crawf’ and ‘Pimp my Side’!
If you want good quality SuperCoach advice, you’re in the right place.
Anyone know why Darley isn’t playing yet? With the Shaw news, my team looks certain to cop a doughnut in the backline this week 🙁
Thumbs up: Luke Dahlhaus ($386,100, AVG:95.3, BE:62) NXT3: Melb, GWS, COL
thumbs down: Tom Hawkins ($414,100, AVG:104.7, BE:16) NXT3: Rich. Bris, Melb
What’s the chances of Ellis playing?
Got a bit of a dilemma that i was looking for some advice on:
i have both Luenberger and Fyfe………and i have two thoughts…….
1. I was going to trade Luenberger down to Longer (making my rucks Longer, Giles, Redden and Stephenson) to make some (heaps) of cash, for a player that should hold his spot for a few more weeks before trading up to a Premium once they have bottomed out (i.e.Cox) and swap Fyfe into the mids and trade him for Murphy (thus completing my mids to be Pendlebury, Ablett, Boyd, J. Selwood, S. Thompson and Murphy on the field) and i will still have some cash in the bank for the upgrade in a few weeks
2. take the easy trade Leunberger for Kruezer and keep Fyfe (taking the punt on his shoulder)
I am leaning towards option 1 as I feel as though Longer will still score ok, and the lower points in my ruck division will be off set by Murphy in the
mids………
Thumbs Up for option 1
Thumbs down for option 2
Cheers guys
Thoughts on this as a Fyfe solution:
Trade out Fyfe -> Swing Smedts FWD -> Trade in Carrazzo
Leaves my FWD line a little undermanned, but with solid performances from Kennedy and Smith (GWS), and Hall (GCS) in recent weeks, I’m hoping this will be somewhat mitigated. Franklin should bring the goods, Dusty has to do something soon (doesn’t he…?) and Porplyzia is looking steady.
Also means when he comes back, Shaw will be joining Goddard, Deledio, Birchall and Carrazzo, giving me plenty of scoring potential back there.
Thumbs Up – Worth a trade for the peace of mind
Thumbs Down – Don’t be a tool.
Comments – Other trade options? Keeping in mind I don’t have any DPP’s in the midfield.
Just wondering if Shaw and Thomas were dropped for disciplinary reasons to get them into line. Has been a lot going on at Collingwood this week!! Two pretty big games they will miss if the injuries are correct. Seems a bit of a coincidence to me.
I will never pick Shaw again. On the Higgins list.
Thumbs up – Maybe
Thumbs down – No way
Keep or Trade Goodes
and would you rather have:
A.Hall or A.Treloar
on the field?
Who to start:
Treloar (thumbs up)
Devon Smith (thumbs down)
