Knew I couldn’t beat PA to posting the teams, so figured the in’s and out’s were close enough.
(briefly considered using the team posting loophole, ie: edit them into my original in’s/out’s post, bahahaha)

Currently have Mumford, Giles, Nic Nac & Redden as rucks. Trading out Mumford, but who for? R11 Bye has both Giles & Nic Nac on the pine, redden may or may not be getting a game by then, so need a playing ruck but not one from the R11 bye teams, otherwise left with 2 donuts. Help!

I’d cop the zero during the byes and upgrade elsewhere as everyone will be doing worse than usual in the bye rounds. Take the Money!!!

OUT: Mummy and a rookie from another position
IN: Longer and a premium from another position
That’s what I would do if I was in your position, nic nats doing great averaging over 100, and Giles may be a keeper if he keeps averaging 98 like he is, or closer to the bye upgrade Giles.

I think Roughhead presents the most value in the rucks at this stage.

I’d prefer to have Ruffhead in the forwards though, and have 2 pure premium ruckmen in the Rucks.

Best forward under $500,000 to bring in?
Tippet, Hawkins, Dangerfield, Dahlhaus, Riewoldt, Sidebottom, Cloke, Chapman, Harvey, Robinson, Zaharakis, Pavlich, Rioli and Beams up for consideration.
Most likely thinking Sidebottom. Thoughts?

Sidebum the safe bet will play 22 games and get 90-100 average. Chapman and Beams both capable of averaging 100+ but both injury worries. So if you have bypassed all the other injuries go one of them for a lil risk a big reward, if not go Sidebum.

With Drummond and Edwards out, have Smedt and Bower both iffy ins
Judd is out with no cover there
Kreuzer out with Stephenson there (Giles is other onfield ruckman)
Smith, Zorko, Treloar and Kerridge making up the end of the forward line.
Where do I go from here?

You know it’s a fairly easy cash league(100 up for grabs) when you can win a game with 1796. Should come good by end of the season. Willing to take the Judd zero, looking at trading KREUZER to LONGER and then not sure what to do take the zero and upgrade smith or fill in by upgrading someone else, mind you theres 170,000 in the kitty

From now on I think that you have to upgrade fully or downgrade fully. No point getting mid-pricers that won’t be in the top 10 forwards by the end of the season – those blokes won’t.
With Stanley I would either go down to a rookie, say Pfeiffer, or go all the way up, if you have the cash, to a gun like Sidebottom/Chappy/Cloke/Beams…

Just thought of this then, most likely not going to do it but wanted to see what you guys thought, is it worth burning a trade to bring in J.Hamling from Geelong a Foward/Ruck DPP purely for the purpose of being able to swap Roughhead into the rucks if I’m going to cop a donut?

Yeah or I was going to bring in pattison, don’t think they (pattison or hamling) are likely to get a game any time soon. I do really like the idea of being able to swing roughy into the ruck but I don’t think it’s worth burning a trade to bring in someone who won’t play

Redden playing in the SANFL still behind the more mature ruckmen at Port need an injury to occur soon. I think he’ll be in and out of the team all year still might be alright cash cow but just not a regular which sucks right now with all the ruckmen going down.

Hard to believe for Port’s future development Primus is not getting valuable games into the kid. Its not as if Renouf is a superster, in fact it could be argued that Redden has at least matched if not outplayed him in games to date.
Then there’s Lobbe to be back soon which does not bode well.

Trading has reached a new level with uncertainty. It would appear that you are unable to trade until the death knell again with GWS having the Sunday game and Carlton resting players this early in the year. One of Greene or Smith will miss or at best be receiving the vest as Folau and Cameron would be certain starters.
Fantasy Football should be fun but this year has turned into a nightmare.
I pray for one week where I can pick my team on Thursday night that will have 22 players on the park and play out a full game.

Out- kreuzer (already have sandilands on the pine , don’t want a doughnut )

In- s. Johnson
This would mean no doughnuts and leave me with 18 trades?

With your rucks if you have Stephenson or Redden I would be trading one of these as I doubt whether both will receive plenty of game time through out the year. Kreuzer will play most games and is in Carltons best 22 so is best to keep and will assist during the bye rounds. Billy showed a bit of potential in his first game and Brisbane is going nowhere this year. The down side of this trade being it would appear that you do not have enough cash in the bank to upgrade Aaron Hall.

Personally dont see him as top 10 but the reason for his 65.8 average is because he was vested a handful of times which means alot of very poor scores. But when he did get a good run he got 100s. This year less chance of getting vested therefore more scoring potential.

In hindsight I would have looked for a RUC/FWD link rather than risk Redden and BIg O on the bench. But it is hard to justify going with it now IMO. I would find another strategy personally.
Also, I do not think either of the rucks you mentioned will see many games and that is not good for bench coverage. However, if you’re set on this strategy why not grab Pattinson at 94K instead of those two options? You make cash and Hawks have terrible luck with rucks so you never know.
